You seem to have the wrong idea about how mods work. Each mod make your game more unstable. You should try to minimize the use of modifications.

My personal recommendation is seeing if you can live with the stock vehicles, the GTA IV engine doesn't deal with modified vehicles too well, especially not ones which have a very high polygon count.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I would suggest using an older ELS, as the newest ELS makes my game crash within 5-10 minutes I reverted to els V6 on EFLC with every car and (1&only) motorcycle modded  I believe and I dont even experience crashes now, around 40-60 minutes literally I encounter a tow ticker script crash in which I must reload my mods via in-game but I mean in terms of longetivity for the loss of being able to change in which way your lights flash (in a more realistic term) is superior for me at this moment.

If LCPDFR launches for GTA V I will buy it for PC, but I have it for 360 atm and thats good enough for me.

Aren't the latest versions (of LCPDFR & ELS) supposed to be more stable than the previous ones? I've seen people who are finding their game run more stable with 0.95RC2 combined with ELS v5 these days LOL.

The whole point of releasing new versions of mods such as ELS and LCPDFR is to add features but also to improve stability in general.

It's safe to assume that the latest releases will be the most stable.

It's hard to draw a conclusion that 0.95RC2 + ELS v5 will be the most stable since you might be comparing two completely different setups. The person with 0.95 + ELS V5 may only have one or two ELS car mods whereas the person with 1.0D and ELS V8 might have 15 ELS car mods, weapon mods and everything else so of course they're going to be less stable.

It also depends on what your computer can handle. A higher spec PC can typically handle a lot more too.

For one, I'm sure 0.95 RC2R2 + ELS v5 is a great non-crashing experience. Trust me. First hand experience. With same "other" mods in comparison to 1.1 + ELS v8.5.

Two, you already know I'm using the same PC since 2010, Tom LOL.

Moving to GTA IV Discussion & Media since you are not making a suggestion for new LCPDFR features.

I can play for about 3 hours before I start to have problems.

I have much lower specs than you. 4GB RAM, 64 bit OS, AMD 1.4 GHz processor.

I have modded vanilla cars, I use Wouter's Callouts. I run the strobes mod, and first person. That's it. I used to use headlight flaser, but I use LCPDFR's built in wig-wag, and the strobes set to flash indicators only.

I also use a commandline to give me more memory and tweak the settings to allow my game to run better on my PC.

The key is less mods. Anything you can do without, do without. The game is much more enjoyable when I can play as long as I want with no crashes or bugs.

People have too many opinions about things they know nothing about, and the less they know, the more opinions they have.

I don't think lcpdfr 1.1 is stable. If u want stable lcpdfr, u should go back to 1.0d

1.1 is currently the most stable version there is. The main reason people still suffer game crashes with 1.1 is because of other mods they've got installed.

Ditch the mods, bruh. Also your processor doesn't operate at 2.4ghz unless it's running on a single core. It runs at about 1.5 to 1.7 on all four cores. The CPU constantly tries to balance itself, which may account for performance problems. Invest in a desktop.
