The only merit I see this having is in a home defense aspect especially for someone with kids. IE a powerful home defense tool that can't kill a family member

Just imagine this at use in Baltimore City. Regular civilians in Baltimore walking around with something like this, and the reaction of BCPD. Complete and utter chaos, lol.

This is a terrible idea. Imagine if cops themselves carried it; you'd find more armed citizens firing at cops because they think they had a real gun pointed at them.

Lame.

 

It has all the disadvantages of carrying a firearm(size and bulk) with none of the advantages.

back on topic, I Honestly agree with most others here, I Like the idea, But in todays world, Guns are a problem, Especially to police, So if you go around carrying this you are asking to be shot, By either a responding police officer, Another armed civillian, Or the person you are targeting.

It'd be a great idea if guns were not such a problem in the US.

2nd amendment my ass, look what's happened to the U.S.A.

Because what happens when each and every human being can bear arms?

 

Shit happens, and who gets the blame? They guy who point the gun at a cop, or the cop, who shot that person in self-defense?

 

Why is it then that it happens so often? The 2nd amendment and the gun laws, because in most states you don't need a permit or a license to own firepower, it's ridiculous.

 

So what can be done to prevent shootings? 

 

Simple.

Make firearms illegal. Seize every handgun, rifle, carbine and shotgun in the country. Jesus Christ, it's fucking amazing that this is illegal but not this

Cops aren't shooting people for no reason, People are doing dumb shit to get shot, There have been some unjustified shoots, But the majority is because someone felt like doing some really stupid stuff.

The only issue with this is that most gun owners in America aren't going to so openly allow law enforcement to seize their guns. I know a significant amount of people that own guns, and if those guns are taken from them there won't be a lot of happy people in the USA. There are people that fought and died for the right to bear arms, and they own guns themselves. They aren't just going to hand them over, they're going to fight those that try to take their guns. This might be the ignition of some sort of American Revolution, persè. It will definitely piss off a lot of states and people. Plus, simply seizing all guns and making it illegal isn't very realistic. Even if guns were banned, people would just smuggle them into the US and only criminals and those who purchase from the black market would own them. This could increase the crime rate because criminals now understand that regular civilians don't own guns. Remember the prohibition? I'd personally rather take my chances in a gun fight with a criminal, than have them to break in and be defenseless at their mercy. I can't always get to the phone to call 911.

As for my opinion, I don't think guns need to be banned. I th we need stricter gun laws with harsher punishments for violations. A license should be required, with no criminal record. These should be a given in order to purchase a weapon.

For sure. Take a look over the ocean at germany. We have a lot of "mistgabeln" aka pitchforks here. Thats why the crime rate here is so decreased. Nobody fucks with a "mistgabel".
