You Tube was how I found out about LCPDFR. I can't recal who's vid I saw first but I do know it didn't take long before I began to watch NBvids. Mainly because the content in the early vids explained a lot about the mod and it's workings. Talking about the preview series mainly, but the early ones even started in the police station and went through choosing a uniform and car etc.

If that was in every vid obviously it would get old, but for an LCPDFR virgin it was great to get to see all aspects of the mod including tips that would take a while to work out yourself.

So, I voted Youtube but I aknowledge NBvids were a major part of my education in the early days.

The first video i saw was with a transit police cvpi and noticed in the bottom right corner "LCPDFR 0.91" so i looked it up, too be honest LCPDFR is the whole reason i got the PC i'm on right now cuz i don't even like GTAIV as much as i used too :P LCPDFR added BIG TIME to my gta gaming experience! :)

YouToob, after searching for "GTA IV Police mod", I started out playing the cop missions on Xbox, but got bored with the two or three chases that didn't involve suspects unloading copious amounts of ammo into my patrol car.

I tried PPM first, my first incident (after working out how the hell it worked) was for "gang activity", I arrived and five RPGs hit my car upon stopping, then I proceeded to uninstall PPM and install LCPDFR, haven't looked back since.

I started out with 0.90 HF1 if I remember correctly.

I found out the day Sam showcased LCPD:FR in the IV Script mods section of Gtagarage. I wasn't able to play until 2 years ago though.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

There isn't an option for "I joined cause my friend was on here."

I would say something else, but I don't want to bash other sites. :|

If only the hundreds of people who watch my videos and then PM me about "what is this" would simply do the same.

Started out with PPM after finding it on gtainside.com and just thinking "a policemod, why not?". Got fed up with Team-NeO and their disinterest in their mod and of course with the mod itself, which gets a bit repetetive and unrealistic after you've gotten killed by a guy with an rpg for the third time. Then I stumbled upon LCPDFR, I don't remember how though.

About a year ago, I think, I became bored with the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV and EFLC. Since I 100%ed both games, all I really did was have big cop chases with cops, but I always wanted to see if I could be the cop itself. First, I looked up GTA IV pursuit videos where the person is a cop, and this person had videos where he used the Vigilante System to start up a pursuit, shoot all passenger, and just chase the driver on the Xbox 360. I started to try doing that, and while that was a lot better than just running from the cops, it was a lot of work to shoot all passengers, but not the driver. It was a very rewarding pursuit when I managed to do that.

As I was doing this, I was looking up further police videos, and I stumbled upon NBVGV and LCPDFR. I think my first video I watched of his was "Responding Through Heavy Traffic". Needless to say, I was amazed to see how much traffic was there, albeit all taxis, and I tried to emulate his video on the Xbox, but its low traffic killed it for me. I looked up further videos, such as the old "Gang Unit" videos, and I was amazed by the cars and "LCPDFR". I could not believe that you didn't have to kill everybody like a vigilante!

I then bought GTA EFLC, hoping in vain that it would work through BootCamp on my old MacBook Pro. This was around May, when I first joined. Dismayed by that failure, I waited a few months, then resolved to buy a computer after seeing the leaps and bounds of 0.95 Beta. I built a budget computer, and finally, I could play the game, right around the time LCPDFR 0.95RC1 came out. I've been enjoying it ever since, and I even have put my (very small) foot in the LCPDFR media business!

There's my life story of my experiences with LCPDFR. I hope you didn't fall asleep reading it!
