It's seemed to of lost it's "zing." What are some of your suggestion to make it exiting and interesting again?

If you know how to without crashing your game, download car mods and siren mods that you like. Also, first person with hardcore mode is pretty fun and challenging.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

Why not take a break? That's what I always do between periods of playing nothing but LCPDFR. Usually a new version or a mod I find brings me back.

Are you using LCPD:FR as the only game you play? As an example; my main game is Battlefield 3, and I might get into the game Tera pretty soon, but LCPD:FR is what I'll play if none of my friends are on.

Nah,he's...kinda right.A police officer's duty gets boring with time.I'm already taking a break for the last two weeks.Still I don't want to go back and do the same thing over and over again.

Depends on the person, I guess. I only get to play it once every 2-3 days for a couple of hours amongst other games, and only when my friends aren't on. It keeps me happy for the hour or two I play it each time.

Usually just online :) I'm pretty crap at it tbh. I got the steam voucher free with my graphics card and after my third game, I had joined a hacked game and I had all weapons and was lvl70...

I switch from LCPDFR to PPM... i get bored of LCPDFR i start playing PPM and vice versa...... other alternatives i have is SA/IV modding, texturing and if i get toooo bored with both LCPDFR and PPM i play other games like 18WoS ALH, NFS HP 2010 and so on....

I used to get bored playing LCPDFR so I changed the way I play. I now spend a week patroling a certain area, so when I eventually move on it's fresh. Kinda.

Also I change roles a lot. Sometimes I use a marked patrol car and just do traffic stuff. Other times I will use a fbi car and respond to certain calls, sometimes I use a Noose patriot or cruiser and only respond to high threat situations and only use high power weapons.

Other times I will park the car up and do a foot patrol. Places like star junction are good for that. Also when on foot patrol I will often ride the subway and patrol stations.

There are a lot of areas that don't get patroled when in a car.

I also do operations such as targeting prostitution or street crime etc.

I will also do some mild role play. Before I start I will pick a rare car with a rare colour and make it my hotsheet. If I see that car I arrest the driver for driving a stolen car. I sometimes pick rare peds too before I start, these peds are on the FBI's 10 most wanted.

A bit of imagination, a mod or 2 and I never get bored of this game. I aso take breakes though as others do and play something else.

Take a break, I haven't played in a few weeks, but started again yesterday, it just gets boring after a while.

I generally try and mix my LCPDFR sessions up, sometimes I stick to chasing the radio, other times I pop it onto busy and stop cars and deal with world events, from time to time I do "gang crackdowns", I stick to areas with gang peds (firefly projects, Hove Beach, Bohan etc), stop and frisk peds I deem interesting, same goes for cars, there's always bound to be a shooting call or drug deal call as well.

I also try to mix up my beat, switch between the different boroughs, you'd be surprised how different it is to work the Star Junction area compared to Hove Beach or Bohan.

It's also worth checking out the various GTA modding sites for non-police mods, getting new guns, a baton, new handling lines etc. All that changes the experience.

I'm in the same boat as Nicolai, I haven't fully played for a few weeks now..

But when I did I used to;

  • Set the time to midnight, Grabbed an unmarked car, usually a modded FIB buffalo and find a prostitute, sit down the road from her with my engine and lights off, as soon as I see them enter a vehicle I pull them over and perform the usual (searching, arresting etc.)
  • Patrolled the rough areas of LC, Like southern Alderney
  • Spent whole sessions as a traffic officer

Come to think of it, I hardly ever respond to callouts anymore, I usually get the same three even though I switch up the areas I patrol in.

When I eventually organize a game for the MP group later this week, I'm hoping I can do something like this providing the Criminal Acts mod works online;

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bait_car .. Obviously it couldn't be locked remotely but you get the idea.
