I changed it to be Down + Right stick, but that still doesn't explain how I'm supposed to switch to the other tabs via my controller. In fact, I don't even know how to do it on the keyboard!

Oh, try moving the left or right stick. If I remember correctly, it's one of them. I could be wrong though.

To navigate between categories within the menu, simply press Tab (LB and RB on an Xbox 360 Controller). This will allow you to cycle through all categories. If hidden and then brought up again, the QAM will show the options of the last visible category.

For those trying the flashing headlights, I believe they only work when the headlights are on (so either night or when you turn on the high beams).

Great! I played it for an hour now, and no issues.   The only thing is, that my partner doesn't react somtimes when i order him to do something! And pressing R for regroup is better than the QAM.

AI can do traffic stop!??

Yeah I was mind blown they pulled him over took a second or so before they got out of the vehicle I stopped in front just in case and they immediately asked him to step out of the vehicle and arrested on the spot lol

After installing 1.0D, my game would crash right after the loading screen (the one with the slideshow of characters.) I uninstalled 1.0D and my game worked fine. Did I do something wrong?

First of all, great job and a big thank you to the entire LCPDFR team for the amazing work you guys do. Every release seems to bring in new features and enhancements that everyone loves, and I know that takes countless hours of work.

My personal first impressions with 1.0D haven't been great unfortunately, but I believe that is largely due to me only playing Multiplayer. I've been experiencing the same bugs and issues with 1.0D that I've had with every version of 1.0 so far. Windows 8 has also given me a lot of trouble getting everything to work, so again my negative experience is in no way a reflection on the LCPDFR mod itself or the people behind it.

 

I'm still holding out hope one day for a "bare bones" Multiplayer friendly version of the script, since all I need is the ability to do traffic stops and interact with peds on the street. I have no idea what the workload would be to re-work the code to include just those features, so I've accepted the fact that I'm a very small minority of LCPDFR users and I try to work with it.

 

Unfortunately, I think I've broken my GTA installation to the point that a re-install is necessary, but in the process of testing 1.0D last night I had the same issues that I had with 1.0C: Trouble installing, Taser didn't work, I couldn't get anyone to pull over on a traffic stop, when someone would run from me in a vehicle they would pull over and stop as soon as I turned on my siren and then drive off crazy again as soon as I turned off my siren, and whenever a suspect foot bails from a car during a pursuit my game crashed to desktop. All of those are the exact same bugs that I experienced with 1.0C. But, I'm sure most of it is related to me playing multiplayer only and Windows 8 being stupid, so just like last time, I'm going to continue working on fixing these issues and enjoy version .95 until I can get 1.0 working. You guys answered my prayers with controller support in a past update, so hopefully one day I'll figure out how to fix the rest of these issues.

Despite the issues I've experienced, I'm very excited to see the development progress on LCPDFR and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Yeah, I enabled it via config. I also used strobe mod but deinstalled it to try LCPDFR. However, when I turn siren on, nothing happens. I use non-els cars, modifies vanilla cruisers.

 

I use non-els cars also. The wig-wag seems to work only when the headlights automatically turn on at night or when it rains.

Make a support thread if you want help. Also, there's nothing that's went wrong in the LCPDFR.log, so it is unlikely to be LCPDFR related.

The helpbox says that I should press the "~" Key (Tilde), but when I do, I get no notification of callout cleared, but the Drop down console appears. Any way around this?

This version of LCPDFR is by far the most stable one I've played since I started about 2 years ago. I just played for about 10 hours straight, unhealthy I know, and the only crash was when I was patrolling in Bohan. I got a call of 'shots fired' and when i responded, I checked the area and there was about 6 guys aiming their pistols at me. I have a gun mod installed so it has a built in flashlight and this caused the crash. The gun is the 'M9 Beretta With Working Flashlight' on gta4-mods, don't want to post the link cause I don't want to get in trouble, and its the only firearm that I can use with my officer model. Great job on this version Sam!!

For me I just drive away and press "alt+e" and that usually does the trick! (By the way, are you using an Xbox controller?)

did you uninstall 1.0C before the installation of 1.0D?

 

 

 

Scratch the 'Not Crashed While Playing' thing, I was just playing for about 10 minutes and my game had the 'SMPA60' error! I think this happened because of the LCPDFR save game thing. Is there any way of disabling this ability? Its going to bother me in the long run...

That happened to me a little while ago when I installed DLC guns to my plain GTA 4 folder... I never crashed but it despawned every police car and it pissed me off. I uninstalled the gun mod and it worked fine but the police car problem still happened. I kinda have a feeling that it has to do with the taser that the game still has. If that isn't the problem, I don't know what happened. Uninstall LCPDFR 1.0D and check if that was the problem.

Random out-of-place props are most likely caused by a corrupted save file. Start a new game and make a new save file.

This is a false positive from your anti-virus program. You'll either need to disable that temporarily or install LCPDFR manually.

 

Absolutely love the update! I played for about an hour with only a few bugs I had was calling for a prison transport about 20 officers appeared lol. Then my police helper crashed.

Hi, can I have a full list of the controls please? Am very confused with the new layout and stuff. Also, is it possible to switch on lights for our weapons like the AI? Thanks and 1.0d is really awesome!!
