skynyrd47 reacted to BlaineBug in LSPDFR 0.3 - Now ReleasedRockStar doesn't give a damn about the single player community. Why do you think that their DLCs offer NOTHING to the single player? This is unforgivable, to be quite honest. Only implementing new content that can only be played online.......what's the matter, why isn't it also available in single player? As I said, unforgivable. As if the 2008 GTAIV port wasn't bad enough......

skynyrd47 got a reaction from ToastinYou in [Request] Radio AnimationGood thoughts brother thanks!
-
skynyrd47 reacted to ToastinYou in [Request] Radio AnimationIt probably is not possible. It all depends on what Rockstar has for animations and objects within the game. If you can hunt down some cutscene/mission where an officer is holding a radio up to their mouth, then there ya go - send it to a modder.

This isn't ArmA, lol.

skynyrd47 reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.3 Announcement + First PreviewAfter a short break from the non-stop development of the first couple of versions of LSPDFR, we're really excited to officially announce the next installment in the series - LSPDFR 0.3. As you might have come to expect, LSPDFR 0.3 takes strongly after its predecessors, introducing a big bunch of groundbreaking new features and gameplay.
With actually only a few weeks of development, it is amazing how far this next version of LSPDFR has come, and the extent of fresh, new content and possibilities that it offers.
You asked, we listened. Arresting suspects has been drastically improved, especially with the brand new addition of interactive cuffing - no guns required!
With 0.3, we've taken the time to rebuild some of the core mechanics of the modification, particularly as it comes to arresting suspects. With a brand new interactive system, you can now easily and seamlessly place stopped suspects in handcuffs. The animations for this are incredibly fluid, as is the way in which the process works, with interactivity being a key component. In 0.3, when you arrest someone, there's a very tangible feeling of control - a massive improvement from earlier versions where, due to a reliance on normal playback, it could often feel as though you had been taken out of the game as you waited for an animation to finish.
The Vapid Police Interceptor makes its LSPDFR debut in 0.3. Well, with our entirely new and seriously powerful XML based backup unit customization, so does every other vehicle (and ped) in your game too!
We'll be sharing more about the features and changes in LSPDFR 0.3 over the next week or so, as we take a more in-depth look at what 0.3 brings to the table, including the full Downtown Police Station interior, amazingly improved interaction with suspects, and much more!

skynyrd47 reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.2 Delay Update - 13 JulyTo follow on from the previous update I posted yesterday, we're still hard at work preparing LSPDFR 0.2 for release. At this time, it would appear that all issues caused by the latest update to GTA V have been resolved. Indeed, I spoke of the problem and its solution in more detail in the previous update regarding 0.2.
Unfortunately we're still experiencing issues with LSPDFR 0.2 which appear to be unrelated to the recent update and more of a problem with the modification itself. These are in the form of script crashes that some, but not all, have encountered during pursuit testing and this is something we've been looking in to. Unfortunately this seems to be quite a tricky problem to find as different users are experiencing different results. Nonetheless, I'm hopeful that we'll find the problem and resolve it relatively soon.
While LMS has been hard at work debugging most of our issues (both the ones caused by Rockstar's protections and ones of our own making), I've taken advantage of the extra time to add more polish to LSPDFR 0.2, and even introduce a new feature which I know will be very popular. To complement the police computer in a vehicle, here's a sneak peek of the equivalent system on foot:
Bear with us as we work this out. I guarantee you that LSPDFR 0.2 won't disappoint.

skynyrd47 reacted to marine9077 in LSPDFR 0.2 Update - 12 JulyI don't understand how you guys keep doing this. Without benefit/pay, with little resources, and for some people ungrateful in the community, you work hard all the time for this community and foundation. I admire it more than any other program because of your investments. I'd love to rub this in the face of other game developers (*cough cough* ED) about how such a major problem has caused such little delay, thanks to the dedication of you developers. Bravo and take your time!

skynyrd47 reacted to cp702 in Homeless man shot by LAPDNo, that actually says literally nothing which is in the slightest bit relevant to what c13 said. The quote was about shooting to wound. Your story is about shooting at all; it has nothing whatsoever with shooting to wound. I'm baffled how you can possibly think it says something that has to do with the quote.
Also: the huge majority of US police officers never fire their weapons except on the range; that's not somehow unique to Europe. US police use their weapons more often than European police, but it's still extremely rare in the US.
-
skynyrd47 reacted to Illusionyary in Homeless man shot by LAPDAccording to the officers, he reached and got a hold of one of their guns. This story is backed up by the officers shouting "drop the gun" before opening fire. If you try to take an officer's firearm, you're going to be shot, no question about it.

skynyrd47 got a reaction from TheRockeR93 in Identity by Asylum EntertainmentReally looks good hope LukeD isnt right but who knows
-
skynyrd47 reacted to LukeD in Identity by Asylum EntertainmentSo...it's a life simulator?
The concept seems nice and if their servers are reeeaaaalllly good and always full of people I can see it being kind of fun.
But sadly I can see this being a complete flop in which your money is taken and the project dies. Heres why:
1) Online only, so it relies on the servers being stable and there being enough people. If there isn't enough people you'll be bored for 90% of the time and the remaining 10% will be very fast paced and over within seconds.
2) Unless you get a decent position (like a cop) you're gonna have a shit time. I mean, you own a business so what you stand still for 6 hours, earn money. Drive home then repeat the next day? That isn't fun, no matter how much you roleplay cleaning the floor and counters.
3) Relies on a decent balance of players, it's no good having a server of 100 cops, 2 criminals a 1 store clerk. further, if someone desperately wants to be a cop, they won't stay with a server until they can be one.
4) This is the big one. After a few weeks all the young children who have apparently fucked my mum will be playing, screaming down their £2.99 budget headset they got from a dodgy electrical store in town. whining they got banned/kicked by a shitty admin and failing to roleplay. As will the script kiddies who ruin everyones day.
I hate to be the negative guy, cause this does "look" very good. But they're claiming a huge amount of stuff with so far nothing to show for it and people have given money.

skynyrd47 reacted to XBR410 in Anti-Islam Marches In GermanyYou Should Really Open your Eyes, I Believe your American Pride might be Blinding them just a bit..
If you're expecting people to Accept your Opinion in a Mature Manner, you should be Willing to meet them Half Way..
its a Bit Hypocritical to Say that Other People hold their Opinion to be Fact and others, as Opinions. When that's pretty Much what you're doing here (that's just how i feel about this)

because its totally the Porn and not all the Sexual References in everything Teenagers Watch and Listen to..
and its definitely not all the Clothing Coming out for Females Now A-Days Leaving Less and Less to the Imagination..
and its CERTAINLY not the Increased use of Alcohol and Hard Drugs among teens over the last 10 years..
and also how does Watching Too Much Porn when your a Teenager eventually Lead to you getting a Divorce Years down the Road?
I'm not Saying Porn isn't a Problem but it Definitely isn't the Biggest..
its a Society Problem We Have things like the C-String coming out for Beach Wear '> And We Wonder why so many People are Banging...
we have teens listening to Songs like this all the time,
, we have teens listening to songs about Getting Caught cheating by Pocket Calling your Wife while banging some broad and Blaming it on the Smart Phone rather than his Lack of Loyalty (Great example for the Kiddo's)
and we Have TV Shows Glorifying Teen Pregnancy and Going out, Partying all the time (i.e. Teen Moms, 18 and Pregnant, Jersey Shore, etc)
and why the hell would People turn back now.. TV Companies like MTV are making tons of Cash off these Kids with No Interest in how these Kids are gonna end up with these Influences in their head, We Have Clothing Companies trying to Make the Slutiest Clothes Possible because they know its what the Teen Females will want to buy (Again with No Interest with the Issues of Teen Pregnancy) (And Please don't quote me trying to tell me its meant for Adults, the Companies Don't Care How old the Person is who's Buying it. Just as long as they make money) and we have a Society among the Kids where its Bad to be Smart and Good to be a Little Prick Hell Raiser who Doesn't know anything More than Making Babies, Drinking, Doing Drugs, Money, and a 5th Grade Vocabulary
If you want to Blame it on Anything Blame it On Everyone.. Blame it on the CEO's for not Caring about the Customer and Only the Money, Blame it on the Parents that let the TV and the Internet Raise their Kids.. And Blame the School Systems for Not Supporting a Healthy Environment that Encourages Kids to be Smart, And Not Putting their Actions where their Mouths are with Bullying
Because all of these Issues with the Kids go Hand and Hand
