I've posted a suggestion here:

But another idea I have is that I would like to see the ticketing system moved to the laptop. So after I look up a person, I click write ticket, some of the information is already filled in (name, address, dob, location, officer, etc...) then sections with drop down and option to write in crime committed, and a ini file to control fines and violations (unless write in where you would put the cost). This is very similar to this: http://www.courts.ca...ents/trinst.pdf (Page 32) This would also make the fines more realistic.

This information could also be pushed to the stats server and when someone write a ticket, we could click and look at it online.

Once I'm done, I would go to hand the driver the ticket, it can either be accepted and paid or they could drive off in anger starting a pursuit!

Would be nice to have a spike strip system or a road block system you call it in and than it makes a road block/spike strip lets say half mile ahead but you need to be lucky that they go that way, so you need to be wise where you set them up and when you get so far away they will dis spawn. Also have there be robbery's like the clothes store getting robbed or a prison break. Have there be a shooter in the area of lets say 4 blocks don't have it show where he is on the map make it so you have to work and look for people. I know this has been said before such as joining a police pursuit, getting called for back up/officer down, going to car crash's. Also with the shoot outs have there be gang ones like the ones you have than have there be ones with just like 1 or 2 people. Also have police pursuits be more random at random times the car will stop than go again, 1 person bails out other one keeps driving, All bail out and run away, Drive on the wrong side of the road or maybe they just slam on the breaks and stop the pursuit all together. What i don't like right now is how your in a police chase and in a matter of minutes with out calling back up you have 500 cop cars with you. Just some of my ideas.

Has stolen cars been mentioned yet? I would love to see a call out for prusuits or gang activity like the base game has in the police computer

This is a signature, not a good one, but one that's needed

^ would be cool to have a bait car scenario...in gta 3 theres a guy in a dark suit or whatever i cant remember but hed always steal cars and i would put car bomb inside a nice car and drive it near him and he would steal it and boom haha so yeah something like bait car would be awesome

Spike strips and road blocks has been discussed before, and it's just not possible, people using ELS would have even bigger issues than normal players as well.

A prison break fits better in PPM, LCPDFR is more directed towards a proper beat cop.

There's already a pursuit world event.

You might want to take a look at the MDC, made by Bravehart, you can find it in the "media" section

The idea about syncing it with the statistics server is good, although the structure does not allow it as far as I know.

The driving away in anger happens, but it's not a pursuit as they've already been served with the citation.

There's no point in the stolen cars, we wouldn't have a way of distinguishing vehicles from each other, it's not unlikely that you'd end up seeing several cars of the same desctiption when looking for it, and GTA IV does not use a proper registration plate system.

Gang activity already exists, they're the shots fired and shoot-out in progress calls.

Bait car scenarios would be hard to script though.

Thanks for your reply! I'll take a look at MDC.

Are you sure you wouldn't want this in the game? :biggrin:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRRTlrfTw0s&feature=related

not necessarily.

if you spawn is just off the ground it would have about the same effect of a curb, right???

EDIT: sorry wrong button

That is a speed bump not a spike strip. All it would do is make a speeding suspect fly through the air.

You are using the WRONG right theme!

that is why you would put it about a curb's length off the ground. your going very fast in a pursuit and you run into a curb then you stop suddenly.

What about random drunk drivers swerving on the road, or a call out for a drunk driver, it could use the stolen car script for vehicle location while its moving I would imagine

This is a signature, not a good one, but one that's needed

Bait cars are possible.

But they do not need to be coded in, just use the available resources.

For instance, I'm going to be organizing sting operations for the multiplayer group in which I'll place a car of high value in an area like bohan and save it with simple native trainer.

All players then get out of site and I'll sit down the road in a unmarked car.

Using the Criminal Acts script, I'll just wait until an AI tries to hijack it upon which I'll tell everyone to move in and then use simple native trainer to shut off the engine.

See? Simplez :3

id like to be able to clean my police cars and more call outs different ones mabye like " attenton all units we have a drunk driver on so and so" or even other incidents related to emergencies like say a guy just crashed, when u call 911 in real life a fire truck cop and paramedic come i think that would be cool to be able to help out in those situations i also think road blocks would be cool

Just remember that the suspect actually has to drive the vehicle for it to be a car theft, otherwise its just a burglary. If that is implemented in LCPD:FR lets keep that in mind. Car burglary, speaking of which could easily be scripted in as well. There are already random peds in GTA IV who dig through their trunk. We could use that animation in a clever way in certain situations, like having a ped going down a residential street opening the trucks of a few different cars.

i would like to see more realistic arrest . as in bringing the suspect to the police car . and not in lcpdfr , where by you go to the police car first and the suspect ownself open the door and go inside the car .
