I've tried doing what you said about searching an occupied vehicle, but the game doesn't even give me the prompt to search before I first walk up to the driver. After I check the driver's license, a prompt does come up, but the trunk still cannot be opened. Only when the suspect is out of the vehicle can I search it.

I am very glad, though, that the parking ticket and search vehicle functions were introduced. They are great! A "street racing" callout would be pretty cool, if its possible to implement.

Not sure if I should be posting this here or in the suggestions forum but I've been looking at the securicar and the armoured guards for it and I had another callout idea:

Distress call form armoured cash truck

Could come in a number of varieties:

Simple (stolen) securicar pursuit with heavily armed suspects driving. This would be an interesting take on a pursuit as it's in a heavy (bulletproof/really strong) vehicle

Car under fire while parked - just spawns with some Gruppe Sechs guards surrounded by gang members shooting at them.

Car under fire while driving - securicar is driving and being attacked by armed suspects following it in a vehicle (if this is possible).

I like your ideas about using the Gruppe Sechs security truck..

I am a new fan of LCPD. IRL I am in law enforcment and my head was filled with ideas.

My wish list.

Callouts to arrest a wanted person. It can be a ped. och in a car. They can come guiet och resist arrest.

Callouts to redirect traffic at a car accident.

Callout for drunk and dissorderly people

Callouts to do a raid of a house with other officers to search for suspects.

Be abel to check ID on people on the street to see if they are wanted.

Be abel to do test on drivers to see if they a drunk

Radom event when people are sick and you have to give CPR.

Be abel to order drivers to stepout of the car at gunpoint standing next to your own car

Distress call form armoured cash truck

That's actually not a bad idea. It could surely be possible since shootout calls have some Noose guys and Noose trucks spawned as well so I see no problem why armored trucks and security guys couldn't be spawned.

iv been thinking someting like this but my idea is bank robbery/ heist/ some 1 robs the money truck.

I'd like callouts where you respond to parties and/or groups of people that are getting out of control.

Bar fights

Group of delinquents harassing a homeless man or any other random people; they could throw items or just taunt, and sometimes their victims would fight back or run away, and in the situation of the latter, they would chase the victim ofc and all gang up on him or her.

Drunk drivers, doing breath tests and the like and checking IDs for underage drinking

To go along with new trunk search system, maybe there could be some notifications at the bottom of the screen like "You can smell the faint odor of marijuana and alcohol coming from the car," or "You can see a suspicious looking bag by the driver's seat." Then you could search in between the car seats and stuff and try to find anything. The trunk animation could work for this as well.

Callouts for responding to parties that are getting out of hand. These could range from being inside apartment buildings, restaurants, bars and bowling alleys to just a bunch of cars huddle around an area with music booming from their radios. A fight might break out when you arrive on the scene, or some might just run, or they won't care at all. Entering an apartment would have you seeing a lot of people just hanging out, drinking or eating, and dancing to music that's playing. Same goes for cars. You could search for drugs, check IDs and look them up on your computer and see if there any problems, etc. These 'hubs' could provide a lot to do.

Callout where you have to hang around certain areas and look for specific vehicles.

Robbery or vehicle theft callout. Arriving to the scene might create a hostage situation in the case of a robbery, and the meter from the suicide call could be used, or they might just wait inside for you to come in and try to kill you, or just run and try to make it to their vehicles, creating a pursuit. The Mcreary models could be used, ski mask and all, but of course other ski mask-less models could be used as well. These robberies would only take place in minor establishments such as small restaurants, etc. Maybe there could even be some security situations like Ekalb mentioned above. "Vehicle theft in progress" callouts could range from finding a suspicious group of people huddle around one car, with one of them doing a fiddling animation on it, or maybe just one perpetrator.

Stopping street races. I know this has been suggested a lot before, just supporting it yet again.

Finding escaped convicts or people with warrants for their arrest and such. They might be trying to escape in cars or be in some apartment somewhere keeping the owner hostage. The stability meter could be used yet again. The convicts don't always have to have prison uniforms on. (By the way, some of these special callouts should be very rare. I'm aware of the fact that LCPDFR is based around routine police work and I thoroughly believe in what its working towards. These are just some rare callouts that could maybe add some flavor. Hopefully they're not too outrageous ha.)

Checking up on suspicious activity by ports or other semi-abandoned areas. There could be large drug deals where you have to kill and bust multiple people and maybe some drug deals in the open, with the buyer in the car and the dealer outside with the police animation that plays when you pull someone over. I'd also like it if drug deals didn't always involve crackhead ped models.

Gang wars could be worked into calls involving shots fired. Multiple factions firing at each other would be frenetic and fun.

VIP callouts where you have to respond to VIPs in distress. The units guarding him would be in shambles, and you would have to protect him until backup arrived. You would also have to help them escort the VIP to police stations, although in some situations all opposition would be taken out and you wouldn't have to help anymore. Then the VIP and police officers would get back in a vehicle and drive off. There could also be regular VIP transports callouts where you have to drive back to a nearby police station and help transport someone to another station.

And some minor gripes:

Suicide calls are great, but its a bit unsettling whenever I arrive on a scene and the guy is in a really crowded and bustling area. Not like that's not completely impossible irl, but suicide calls in some more isolated locations would be great. There could be a higher likelihood that you might receive a suicide callout late in the day in isolated areas. It's just a bit annoying when I evacuate an area and some dumb girl walks in front of my crosshairs when I'm on the verge of talking the man out of it. Maybe near some living areas, since you might have only received the callout because a concerned citizen saw the man in alley doing whatever. There could also be some suicide callouts where the people actually jump off some place, with a helicopter spotlight on him and everything. I'd also like it if models for the guy alternated, like they do now for the mugging callout. I'd also like it if there were other cops who responded to the scene to help you out with the man and perhaps evacuate the area of citizens as well.

I'd like it if when you ordered someone to step out of their car, they walked off a distant but stopped. It's annoying when trying to chase after a guy just to find out your key for stopping people is apparently broken for the rest of your LCPDFR session. An option to have all passengers step out would be nice too, and perhaps an extra one to choose where you order them to step out of the and place their hands on their heads. There aren't voice files for every one of these, but I can easily think of some that would suffice.

Gang peds in firefights should all be of the same gang imo, perhaps leaving a trail of bloodshed of an opposing gang behind them if you can investigate after the firefight. The gang would depend on the area. In some shots fired callouts, they should also be more passive at times, especially when barricaded in a building. It's hilarious when all police opposition is taken out and you see a rush of gangsters rushing out just to be slaughtered.

I'd like to see callouts which could be dealt with without actually arresting or killing someone. For example a small group of people is causing some disturbance and you have to go there and tell them to leave. It could be house parties and checking IDs for underage drinking as Cap'n suggested above or just few guys hanging out in a park and being a bit too noisy. In most cases these could be solved peacefully, but of course sometimes they would disobey you.

Currently,we are the *First Responders* for any vehicle pursuit or shootout.I'd like to hear from other officers who need assistance in these things.I got those callouts way back, but they're missing in 0.95,IMO.Never got one.I want 'em back!

Could you guys bring VIP escorts back? And why did you guys take off escort to the cop car, (when you arrest someone, then escort them to your car than have the option of frisking or arresting)??

Hey LCPD First Response Team,

you are so awesome! This mod is exactly what i need for GTA! I hoped Rockstar put it in the game anytime, but i'm still waiting!

Most of the complex modification for GTA IV are very buggy, but this one works fine!

No crash, no big errors. In combination with ELS its a big pleasure!

Well, you definitively know that there is a lot of improvements to made with the AI and the scripts...but thats not my main topic!

Traffic stops are really good, but I would like to see more different duties! The callouts are very reiterative so i have some ideas for you.

Maybe you shouldn't focus so much on peoples with guns to stop! To my taste it don't have to end with a shootout. Its enough just to drive around and be kind. Thats more realistic than shooting and killing all the time (although i know this is a important part in GTA).

You can make some escort missions (for example prisoner transports or just escorting some VIP in a big black limousine) or just participate in a road blockade, observe a person (in a car). I think there a tons of duties which don't sound spectacular but improve the "police feeling".

Ambulance and fire service support missions are another chance for variety (maybe you can improve the bad AI of both).

All in all i want more pursuits lol I dont want to drive arround and stop cars hoping they go mad and drive away. Maybe some illegal street racings or something like that!

The more i play GTA i recognize it isn't as busy and lively. It's very generic and repetitiv. So i know its hard and long work to breathe life into the game but you are on the right way!

Finally i hope you continue your great work on this project! I know its hard work but i'm sure you're making a lot of ppl really happy (including me)!

I know GTA V is announced but it will take some month or maybe years fo the release!

Or maybe you should just offer your services to rockstar so they can integrate this feature in GTA V! That would be amazing ;-)

Greetings,

Officer Laarson

LCPD :-P

Thinking about the VIP escort mission posted up there ^ made me consider how it could be done.

A Stretch could spawn waiting, then when you get within a certain distance of it, it drives off, your task is to stay with it (think riding in the Lost in the beginning of TLaD, with the marker), being in that marker would repair the cop car.

This is where it branches into a simple run from....let's say....Westdyke, to Francis International with no problems at all, or Masionette/Hercules clubs to the airport (or the airport to any of those)

Or it could devolve into an ambush/shootout call

what about have the vehical towed

this has been talked about before there isnt even a towtruck in the game and it would be 2 hard to script so they wont do it

-Recovering/seizing a vehicle (simply despawn the car)

-Traffic cones spawning

-People randomly swearing and shouting in the street (similar to the preachers found in the game)

-People walking around with knifes

-Can peds hold and throw bricks or glass bottles like the player? If so, a violent demonstration with bricks/glass bottles and even a Molotov or two being used

-People walking around with bottles

-An ALT+K variant that will cause drivers to turn around and go back the way they came

Probably not possible but I'd also like to see the ability to grapple with a person.
