psycodiver69 got a reaction from FCV96 in Chevy vs. Ford Cop-Car Thrash Battle! by MotorTrendAlot of older cops I've talked to still consider the Caprice the greatest cop car, it was faster than the CVPI, handled better at speed, and more interior room. Of course thats looking back through rose colored glasses. Give it 10 years and the older cops then will talk about how great the CVPI was because my biggest issue with the new cars are their alot smaller on the inside, and thats a issue I've heard officers complain about.

psycodiver69 got a reaction from domadouch in Crown vic vs Impala?I drove the Impala, CVPI, and Hemi Charger in the academy and the Impala is better in the tight stuff with the Charger close behind, but I will give the CVPI its dues because it was much easier to manuver at slow speed in and in reverse, the CVPI has more room and better visability also. Personally I would take the Charger, it is a plain better vehicle all around. Saying that I own a CVPI that I use for work and I enjoy, but I bought it because its relaible, cheap to fix, easy to work on, and it feels like the old cars I love to drive

psycodiver69 got a reaction from Slimory in Good cars going to wasteThere getting thrown to the side for greed, the cash for clunkers hit the car guy market too, I heard lots of mustangs, camaros, firebirds, Monte Carlos, Regals (with the turbo 6 motors!!!), ect ect. People traded there possible good cars for money for a new car so they could save on gas, but alot found out that the car payments and insurance more than made up for the gas money saved and they were better off with their older cars.
I have a 03 CVPI and its a shame to see these cars go, there are companies out there completely restoring them for smaller police departments because its cheaper to restore them than buy new cars, but the writing is on the wall, they will end up like the fabled Caprice of the 90s but thats part of life though, the CVPI had one of the best runs of any single police car and its something ford could be proud of.

psycodiver69 got a reaction from Water217 in Approaching with gun drawnI noticed when I don't approach without my gun drawn, the driver is more likely to get out with a gun and shoot me, I always approach now with my gun drawn now.

psycodiver69 got a reaction from cp702 in LCPDFR 0.95 RC2 vs Police pursuit mod ( PPM 7.6) DifferencesSorry for being off topic
Thats incase someone damages the emergency vehicle, I'm talking about the officer goes to pass on the left side of the road moving above the speed limit or passing through a intersection, but someone happens to pull out. If the officer is speeding, he could be at fault because he isn't acting with due concern to the citizens at large. What I learned in BLET is because you have lights and sirens doesn't mean you get to do what you want to get to a scene, you have to drive within reason and have to be able to back it up. During our driving training we had a active officer there to "relearn" to drive because he arrived to a crime scene to quickly lol
