What do you want to see more of in LCPDFR?

*Calling for a tow truck for carrying suspicious vehicles and the vehicles from arrested people.

*Raids. Go with some patrol cars and even with the NOOSE to a suspicious place, for exam. the sprunk store in Bohan, accesible buildings or even in the freight ship in Broker, look for, for example drugs or guns and arrest people.

*Asking for the identity card to peds in the street and look if they have any arrest order.

*Redirecting traffic, for example in case of detention in the highway or if an accident ocurred.

*Stoping trucks, ask for the driver license (like a normal taffic stop) but also look inside the truck if it has any suspicious freight.

The next one I don't know if already is ingame (I'm having some problems with the mod and there doesn't happen all the events) but anyways:

* Arrest orders. Sometimes the suspect can resist and fight or open fire against the officers.

*Surveillance and arrest, follow some time, not too many, to a suspect and when he/she commit a felony, chase and arrest him/her.

Wouldn't work as an event, there's no tow truck in GTA, only TLAD

Possible, although it'd most likely be the gang shootout call but extended so the units drive there... again there's complications of AI traffic. They could cause the convoy to crash and become stuck

Liking this idea alot. Maybe there's a way to implemement it into the radio, pressing ALT+I after getting their ID will give back some subtitle form of text with the persons record

I would of said this is impossible, but I use a script called "Less Overtaking" it stops cars behind you for up to 30 seconds to avoid the ramming. If this could be changed to apply to the car you were last in or a roadblock object it could be great.

There's no animation for that. Plus the doors on the back of trucks don't open, only on the boxville which is rare enough already

Already happens, they'll either run or pull out a gun. When chasing a car and it crashes the suspect will either bail and run or open fire or surrender.

I'm not too sure on the possibility of this one. I know there's missions where you follow someone but it'd be hard to find that specific line of code in the mission file.

This is actually illegal in America. A person on the street who has not broken any laws does not have to produce ANY identification to a police officer. Well, you did say "asking" so that is not illegal (and cops do try to do this) so long as the person can say "no".

Well i think most of what has been said is good but i would like to see like accident reporting and traffic drect. would be fun. But i think we need to make traffic stop better by make the pull over more becuse some stop in the middle of turns and in the middle of the road.

Seems near perfect for me, cars behind the pulled over car don't ram your anymore and vehicles do pull over to the side of the road.

I don't know what your're on here. You still on 0.91 or something?

its good some time but it has its moments

also i think it would be cool to go to the passenger side like a real cop would.

Too many things that make that unworkable.

But just to clear up a point, Can't remember the name of the mission in GTA IV main story line, but there is a mission where you have to aquire a police car and stop several vans and get them to open the back so you can search for I think it was stolen TV's. So there is an animation of sorts in game for that.

Only thing I would like in LCPDFR is either remove the flashlight or make it less than useless :)

Yes, for the vans, but he mentioned trucks..

Unless its a simple english mistake then I'll stick with my answer..

And for the flashlight, something like BF3 would be awesomesauce.

Given reasonable suspicion (which basically means that you can point to something specific as justifying the suspicion), police can require identification in 24 states, and it is illegal to refuse.

Some real cops. Others go to the drivers side. It depends on the officer.

Main problem with that is 90% of the time in game the AI pull over to the right. Meaning that a lot of the time the access area to passenger side can be blocked by walls, street furniture etc.

On 2 lane roads when sometimes they pull to the left you allready know how annoying it can be when the drivers side is against a central wall. That would happen much more.

If there is a chance a driver will pull to the left and block my access to his door such as a car in the 2nd lane who will pull up next to the central dividing crash wall of a highway for example I always get drivers to pull to the right with a quick blast on the siren to make them pull to the right, then I pull them over before they get a chance to get back into the other lane,

As a police officer it is your job to pick your moment to pull someone over. when it is safe to do so. If they are stopping in the middle of junctions or jumping red lights to comply, chances are its because you missjudged the timing of making a safe pull over procedure. :)

Couple of pages back Bloodbunny suggested two red markers either side of car which if possible would be a good solution so you couldd choose what side to approach. Also would stop the times when the approach at one side is blocked.

He also suggested an option where you press X or Y for whatever side. I prefer that not to happen as this game flows well and don't want to see it evolve into a click fest where you are pressing buttons all the time. But the two red markers idea I like a lot.

Just thought up this idea, its nice and simple

the other night I pulled over a vehicle just infront of some traffic lights.. as I went back to my car to check the ID the traffic started flowing again.

When I'd checked the person's ID, I couldn't enter the circle until this big ass 4X4 went past, it was sitting at the traffic light waiting for green.

I thought, fair enough I'll wait. But we all know how stuck up the AI are..

Even when it was green he wouldn't move because the car I had pulled over was near him....

Anywho; I suggest that any car within a certain radius of the driver's door (when in a traffic stop) should be deleted just like when you arrest someone.

For example, if a car blocks the marker as I'm checking the ID, it could be deleted as I bring up the police computer.

Or you could just use your hand with no weapon and hit the car blocking the way. That noramaly does one of 2 things.

Either they drive away or get out and start a fight. If 2nd happens arrest for police assault and then move his car.

Or... A couple of blast on siren, once the siren stops after a second or so thy normally move. The siren seems to work like a reset causing the AI to choose a descision again. ie: stay or move.

Or....choose better / safer places to make traffic stops rather than traffic junctions. < last point is me just being a git :)

I know that from experience, managed to get 10 taxi drivers chasing me back on xbox.

Seems like a lot of hassle for a simple traffic stop though

Quite nice, that copcars block the road, traffic takes a other route. Ambulance arrives and try their best. FD too maybe. Just the idea... ^^
