9/11 and ISIS

Featured Replies

What is happening now is very concerning.

The terror group, ISIS, has recently captured an airfield along with 11 planes.  Take this with a grain of salt, but they supposedly have terrorists in our country as we speak.  The anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks is coming up very quickly, and I fear that ISIS may strike with the eleven planes they have captured.  In days before and after 9/11/14, I would recommend not using public transportation, go in any prominent buildings, or go on planes or ships.  Be ready for anything.

Just because the Islamic State are not a part of Al-Qaeda doesn't mean they won't take any opportunity to attack the west as they hold a serious grudge against NATO. Despite their open hatred for Britain and the USA for their involvement in Iraq in 2003, I highly doubt they would be able to use these planes to launch a strike against the USA in the form of a new 9/11. However, if there was any immediate threat to national security, action would be taken to destroy these aircraft or any cells involved in a plot and the public would be informed to take care, report suspicious activity etc.

Simply isn't possible. These planes would be shot down before they even came close to the coast of the United States. If this were a real concern, action would have already been taken in preventing an incident like this from occurring. With the combined forces of the coalition in Afghanistan fighting the ISIS, I'm sure we'd whoop them pretty bad. American forces alone out-number and out-power the ISIS.

In my opinion, Islam is the problem. These extremists are everywhere, from Nigeria to Iraq. In the Qu'ran, Allah is ordering Muslims to attack anyone who isn't Muslim. The objective is to scare and frighten people into doing good. This is why they are targeting the west. They feel like we've all "sinned", and are trying to destroy us. Every Islamic Extremist group is saying that if the United States gets rid of it's ways, it won't be a target anymore. Those "ways", being to drop everything and convert to Islam.

Want sources, look it up yourself. I'm not going to post random websites, when you can Google the information and check the facts yourself.

At least that's how the extremists interpret it. I don't know much about religion, but I'm pretty sure Islam is supposed to be a peaceful one.

"Work and ideas get stolen, then you keep moving on doing your thing."

I'm honestly not too concerned about a large scale attack like that.

The more likely scenario is multiple mall attacks occurring simultaneously.

Sticks and stones may break bones, but 5.56 fragments on impact.

Honestly i would laugh so hard if they mistaken USA for Canada now Canada can show the world what they are capable of >:D CF-18's FTW until we get newer jets.

Islam is actually one of the most violent and radical religions in existence to date. Every other religion, currently has a problem with Islam, from Christians to Buddhists.

The Quran orders Muslims to either enslave or kill those who refuse to worship Allah. The Muslim holy book does not teach love, but hate. Faithful Muslims are directed to kill the 'infidels.' In the terminology of Islam, infidels are Jews, Christians and non-Muslims in general

The following are a few of the violent passages found within the Quran:

"Believers, make war on the infidels who dwell around you." (Sura 9:122)

"make war on the leaders of unbelief..." (Sura 9:12)

"Fight against such as those to whom the Scriptures were given [Jews and Christians]...until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued." (Surah 9:27-)

"Slay them wherever you find them...Idolatry is worse than carnage...Fight against them until idolatry is no more and God's religion reigns supreme." (Surah 2:190-)

"Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it." (Surah 2:216)

"Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends." (Surah 5:51)

"Make war on them until idolatry shall cease and God's religion shall reign supreme." (Surah 8:36-)

And let's not forget the Hadith which says: "And the Jews will hide behind the rock and tree, and the rock and tree will say: 'O Muslim, O servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him

Canada is not capable of alot... Military wise.

We are getting F-35's :D

Well, we used to be pretty good. Ex: On D-Day the Canadian soldiers landed on Juno Beach, which was the most heavily guarded beach there was, and we made it.

I hope the WTC doesn't get attacked agian, it's not even finished yet...

The chances of that happening are so slim. Security there has been stepped up more since 9/11 to have New York organized and ready for a terrorist attack. A lot of areas in the country actually are pretty secure now since 9/11, while it is always possible, it's very unlikely something like that is going to occur any time soon.

Any of those planes would have to be either in Syria or Iraq and they would be taken out by the U.S. fighter jets in that area before they leave that air space, only thing I worry about is suicide bombings which is a more realistic threat because unless you have the intelligence it cannot be stopped until it is too late.

NO F-35's SUCK SO BADLY The cost oh my god The cost Canada will not be able to handle it i guarantee you we are better off with the Eurofighter Typhoon, Dassault Rafale, or SAAB JAS-39 NG, or heck Super hornets and those things are not that capable only the Advanced hornet is capable the new Russian SU-35 is better than the current F/A-18 Super hornets since they fly higher with much more advanced radars.

That is if they don't mistaken Canada for the US XD

I highly doubt this would happen as America has stepped up their security greatly, the only thing I worry about is suicide bomers.
