Looks really good! Did you go with Midnight Blue?

That's my handsome digger :D

The paint wasn't a midnight blue, but it's a metallic, I wanted to get shots of it in the sunshine, but It got cloudy.

No offense but it pisses me off when people buy retired vics...It has that wannabe cop look :/

Well since there phasing out of most agency's in 10-20 years they'll be collectors, and where i live in california the police auction off the cars for cheap usually to low income families and people on welfare.

It really doesn't bother me. I think it's kind of cool. If someone wants to buy a retired vic so be it. It gives more money to the PD's that are selling them.

Bump--  She's all done, I put it back together today, added some before & after pics.

Very nice!!! I have an affinity towards blue Vics, and wanted to paint mine classic Wedgewood Blue for the longest time, but alas, I didn't get a chance to before I was forced to get rid of my CVPI =((

Only wackers are annoying.  Everyone else, it's fine.  I drove mine around (I had an 04 CVPI) for a little while in standard "Police" trim and dog dishes, but got the 03 chrome wheel covers, chrome grille, and chrome trim to [almost] match an SAP CVPI and it looked a lot better in my opinion.

Noticed in the two pics, that you have some LEDs by your license plate, that appear to flash amber, and in the one that there's some lighting in the rear window.

Does your local police give you any trouble regarding the lighting in general?

Any kind of lights are legal to have in the province of Nova Scotia, red/blue green, purple, white, amber, all legal to have, just can't be flashed on a public roadway, I can flash them all I want in a private parking lot, I asked a cop what he thought about it & he said it doesn't bother him, only thing I was worried about when having the TIR3's mounted on the license plate was it hiding my license plate tag, but they don't hassle me, cops know how many lights I have, because I told them, when enquiring about them, was also told I can legally replicate an official police vehicle without it being official, if it's just for show.

It's about 3 weeks or so away from the date I start painting my Crown Vic, can honestly say that I'm excited to see the turn out, as this will be my first paint job, I've put alot of blood & sweat into this car & I don't regret any of it, it done right by be for the last year I've owned it I've put almost 25,000KM onto it & no matter the repair, it was still good enough to me to allow me to drive it to the nearest repair shop, by the time she's restored hopefully by next year, she'll be pretty much new & will be used as a show vehicle during the summer months, my favorite colour is blue so she will be getting painted just that, this is the colour blue in the photo I want, any idea what shade of blue that is?

its kinda hard to tell exactly from that photo, but my guess would be like a semi-dark blue or lighter navy blue. see its not quite dark enough to really be called a midnight or dark blue in opinion.
