I think it should be vice city, but doing it on the 80s wouldn't be likely since right now rockstar is focusing on modern era in my opinion of course. 

I think Chicago in the 30s would be an awesome storyline. Mobs, prohibition, dirty cops, the depression, tommy guns. It just sounds interesting and provides a new spin to the GTA series.

That would be an epic game! But I don't think that it fits the GTA series. I would love to see a game like that though :)

Well to be honest look at the previous cities they've used. Then look at the fact that Rockstar don't give any consideration to threads like this and websites which come about from rumours.

 

So my best guess is that the next GTA city will be [insert_city_from_random_selection].

Carcer city is not a GTA universe city it is actually the city of manhunt which we will likely not see in any GTA. the references in GTA about Carcer city is just a Easter Egg by Rockstar.

 

now that is out of the way my theory is it will be Vice City its not in the HD universe yet but once it comes it will be amazing.

 

on another note i am waiting for more news about Agent Rockstars Spy game its possible it will be Rockstars next title After GTA V for nextgen and PC and seeing that they renewed their trademark for the game. GTA VI will not be for awhile if Agent isnt next i could settle for a Red Dead for PC.

I would like to see it be a European city like London or something.

 

Would not mind seeing them make it in Baltimore.The city is certainly dangerous enough.

However, I have got info about the next GTA:VI taking place in California, more specifically, LA (& probably surrounding countryside/cities). Got other info also, but not going to post it

Get your facts straight, Carcer City is in the GTA universe. CC was on multiple radio commercials in the 3D Univ., and in GTA IV some persons is listed from CC on the police database, in V, there are ads for CC, and especially, Micheal says he robbed his first bank 1985 in CC. The latter said confirms that CC is in the GTA HD Universe.

Carcer City is put into various GTA games as a reference to past R* games. It is not part of the GTA canon in the way you are describing.
