So...what city do you think Rockstar will use to base GTA VI off of?

 

Here's my list of cities that could be used.

• Charlotte - Small big city, major banking area (story line could be to rob and take over the main banking companies or something) , airport, golf courses, athletic fields, and many parks.
• Chicago - Big city next to Lake Michigan. the city also has rivers, tall buildings, parks, Navy pier, airport, and more. The only bad thing about Chicago is that there is no "rule area" and players will be restricted to the city style like in GTA IV.
• New Orleans - A big city that is situated on a big lake at the mouth of the Mississippi river., big city park, fairgrounds, rivers, etc  ...also New Orleans seems like a city rockstar would use.
• Jacksonville FL - This city is located on a river and it crosses over to the over half of the city.

 

Also Rockstar could shrink the cities a little bit to allow more rule areas, to allow plays to do more recreational things such as, hunting, four wheeling, hiking, boating, and other things that allow the play to roam freely without being tied down to the missions....but what cities do you guys think could be next for GTA?

If they did Jacksonville, go about an hour south for many smaller cities and rural areas.

Vice City.

I think they should do a vice city that includes Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach county. Then they could include the Everglades

i doubt that we're gonna see something like charlotte in a gta (i love NC but sorry. i don't see that happening :D )

I would like to go back to Vice City to be honest. But San Fierro would be great too.

 

If we're gonna have a new city...pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaase make it chicago.

 

Or..another crazy idea...how about a modern day New Austin? (you now ? the state in R*'s Red Dead Redemption?) 

I really want to see a Vice City remake.

But if not, maybe Dallas, somewhere different than their other games, maybe call it Diablo or something.

Something like Detroit would be great, maybe something to do with gang activity.

Maybe even North Yankton, which was touched upon in GTA 5.

I doubt they would pick somewhere like Charlotte. I don't see any appeal there, it seems too much like a normal city.

I don't mind location really, but the time setting has to be different.. i'm thinking Vice-city era '80s or maybe even earlier- we could have Liberty City '79 or '75, maybe another GTA London '65. Hell, another near-future GTA 2-set game would be cool.

Chicago would be awesome for GTA 6...especially if they added an accessible Sears Willis Tower...ofcourse, with a different name.

What about a Canadian city? Like Halifax, or Vancouver?

Oy, just thinking of the next GTA release makes my brain hurt. Where are they going to do it. Storyline, more characters to play, single-player mentioning, multiplayer? Fml.

If there will ever be a next GTA, they should make it based in Seattle, then people get god mode and start blowing up the city as usual.

It would be great if they went back to Liberty City, but I don't see that happening until AFTER the next GTA. I strongly believe the next one is Vice City, being that there is an Easter egg at the military base in GTA V (most of you know what it is) saying: (May be spoiler to readers) "Vercetti will be returning in twenty seventeen." ...Or something along the lines...

Bigger more detailed version of VC, yes. People have made Multiplayer mod for VC and San Andreas on PC.

I would like to see Philadelphia.

 

Philadelphia is on the Delaware Bay which is near the beach, North of the City is Farmland and some small towns.

West of the City is Amish Country

East of the City is The Jersey Shore

South of the City is the Delaware Bay.

It is kind of diverse where the game could take place in The City while being able to play in the rural areas as well.

And 2nd thing those saying Canada or Europe prob unlikely to happen through 5 gta's  now every1 has been based off an american city or area and the trend will likely contiue that way

 

however if it was to go to canada pick would be maybe Vancovuer / Part's of Alaska

The closest thing is actually repeating San Andreas for GTA 5.

Outside that Chicago, Texas City or a Florida City

Florida City would be a mocked "new and improved" version of VC.

People can hope for another vice city.

Except when they had Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas in GTA 1, then went back to Liberty City for GTA III, Vice City for VC, San Andreas for SA (expanded at that point to a region, while the original was just a city), Liberty City for Liberty City Stories, Vice City for Vice City Stories, Liberty City for GTA IV, Liberty City again for Chinatown Wars, and San Andreas for GTA V.

Looking at continuities instead of games, there have been 4 universes: GTA 1, GTA 2, GTA III era (III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS), and HD era. The first and third had exactly the same places represented: each had LC, VC, and SA, representing NYC, Miami, and California (GTA 2 was in a generic place literally called "Anywhere City"). We're in the HD era, including GTA IV, EFLC, Chinatown Wars, and GTA V. Thus far, we've had Liberty City and San Andreas appear. Vice City has been referred to, but has not actually appeared.

I'm confused how you could possibly think that Rockstar doesn't repeat cities. They do.
