So I just found this on YouTube and it appears to be more or less a copy of LCPDFR on the Xbox 360 (like the old version 0.95) called "LCPDFRX".

 

What do you guys think about that?

Not possible, using an Xbox 360 controller.

What is there to think? Somebody has just broken Microsoft's terms and services on Xbox and for what? A half assed "mod" that it suppose to be like LCPD:FR?

 

It's not the first time> this happened, a person seeing LCPD:FR on PC and say "Hey I could get this on Xbox!" No console mods could ever be equal to what is possible on PC.

Same opinion here. I'm not supporting this kind of thing at all. Just wanted to make aware of that it's there. 

G17 should go after them for using the LCPDFR name.

I remember this. There was a topic about this same mod a while back. Started a sort of flame war. The guy that made the video said that he was just showing it off, that he didn't actually make it. I personally don't care, mainly because I'm sort of starting to shy away from consoles partly because of the sheer amount of mods and other fun things that are available on the PC.

I recall hearing about something similar a while ago, someone apparently created a crude console imitation of LCPDFR, it has no affiliation with G17 or anyone on our team.

We take reasonable steps to protect our name from being used without our permission. Although, we don't hold a trademark on the name, so we can't the actual usage of it.

We do take other steps to protect our name, though.

 

In regard to 'LCPDFRX', it's kinda funny how bad it is.

Just unfortunate they decided to degrade our image in such a manner. I can think of another mod (a San Andreas mod) that did the same thing. It's disappointing, but a way to get yourself noticed I guess. 

Is it possible he's just edited some of the files in LCPDFR or perhaps added some, then plugged in a controller? 

Wow LCPDFRX at least think of a name before basically stealing LCPDFR

It looks pretty bare in my opinion. But it's still pretty amazing how they finally have scripts running on consoles.

IF, this is even on a console, it is a poorly made so called "mod", which is made by some console peasant who think's their mod is better because it is on an xbox, but i doubt it, and correct me if im wrong, but, press 1 to do this? As far as i know there are no numbers on a xbox controller, BUT i could be wrong, as the only console i own is a ps3 back in the days before i knew how pc's worked and how influential Gabe Newell is.

Even though you don't have a trademark on the logo or a copyright on the name you do have usage of the name under poor mans copyright in the U.S. it's kinda tricky but it can be used

Don't know why people are moaning. He even said it's still not completed properly yet. 

Yeah they shouldn't of used the name but I would like to see this in a couple of years.

You could probably still contact se7ensins and ask them to take it down; even if you don't have a trademark, they might be nice. They might not, though.

Who really cares? It's not like it's harming anyone.
