Discovered videos of a possible ELS v8 coming from PoliceWag!

 

From what I can see ELS is synced better in MP, as well as new working rotators!

 

I can also see that the door glitch as been fixed, along with the fact you will be able to damage the vehicle!!!

It does look legit but their was a giant april fools joke yesterday. Can't trust anything in the community anymore, lol. You only know it's when it's released.

My thoughts on it, is that it would be highly difficult to edit all the footage to look like something else. If it was a picture then yeah it's probably a joke. Not to mention there are four videos showing features which were not showcased in 7.1

Who knows if it's true or not, looks like it's legit, but who knows can't really take anything in the IV community serious anymore.

My guess is that there is something in the works. The gag yesterday might actually have some truth to it. I saw a post on Facebook a while back, I would link it, but Facebook is too complicated for me now but, LMS also made a video that seemed pretty legitimate.

Well, they're definitely up to something, but we'll just have to wait to see what it is and I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it.

On the video showing the working rotators, there is a strange thing. A sniper rifle is used to zoom in on the lights. Why not take a close up shot without the need for long range zoom?

But yeah, I don't believe it. YT is being a btch & not loading the videos for me, so I'm just basing this on what I read.

ELS v8 might come out, but I don't think it's going to have the door glitch fixed. ELS uses extras system, & because of the hardcode in the game, the vehicle repairs itself every time a extra is added or removed (with ELS, it's many times a second).

 

However, it may be ELS Dot Net, because if I remember correct, ELS Dot Net was being produced to have the same functions of ELS, but without the constant repairing (door glitch & indestructible vehicles bug).

To get the halogen effect, you can set up your car like:

 

extra1 - very bright left wig-wag                      fully off right wig-wag

extra2 - medium bright left wig-wag                 dim right wig-wag

extra3 - dim left wig-wag                                medium right wig-wag

extra4 - fully off left wig-wag                           very bright right wig-wag

 

Now set your els to E-01C   (1-2-3-4-3-2-1 etc.)

You can change the brightness of your lights by going to vertices ->paint ->color and giving it a darker grey color every time you want it to be less bright, or by creating textures for all 3 brightness

 

To use leds with the halogen set up, either use extra5 and extra6 on wig-wag (or in newer els versions, you can set the pattern to even flashing ones) or you can put the leds on extra1 and extra 3, this way they'll flash very fast acting like strobes.

Best thing about this? You can make this with els v5 as well.

 

This ain't rocket science.
