In your .ini for a specific vehicle, go down to SECL and for DisableAtLstg3, put = on

I can also confirm this is an issue. I've analyzed the console logs and apparently when the AI cops try to pit the suspect, an event called
Events_PedPittedAndCrashedByCop is invoked. This makes sense that the AI cops are able to PIT but not the players because whenever the AI cops PIT, this event is getting called, allowing the actual PIT to happen. For players though, since they don't get to invoke this event, the PIT becomes almost impossible. I remember back in the 0.2 or 0.3 days we were able to PIT much easier. People may argue this adds realism due to an increased difficulty, but I'd say the LSPDFR devs should just let the players choose to have this option enabled or not. 
 

Modders don't need to supply the community with unlocked parts and vehicles. I'm not trying to sound rude, but the only way you get somewhere is doing things yourself instead of depending on people who release things unlocked. Well known modders and modelers have gotten where they are by doing things themselves. 

Just in time for the PC release next month!

Hello everyone! I am starting this thread simply to showcase WIP car mods, or soon-to-be released car mods for GTA IV.
 
My first showcase is a WIP that myself, and a few other members (more myself, not to hog credit, I am very greatful for all that have contributed) have been working on for about one to two months. This is the 2014 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan. You may have seen pictures of this vehicle across the gallery the past few days. This is the result of us churning out major/minor updates to the car. We are currently on version 4, and believe we have found a good stopping point for the vehicle.
 
The original base model is a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO by Forza 3, converted to IV by NIK161RUS. It was then edited into a '14 PIS by myself.
 
I am trying to make this model as accurate as my modding skills allow me to create it. Pictures will follow (THERE ARE A LOT!):
 



 
Some note-worthy things about the vehicle thus-far
Features a high-quality, accurate interior Fully templated Window template (thanks, Mustu!) Accurate rims and center caps (thanks, GTAxB0SS!) Accurate misc. parts (thanks, Him1250, Ridgerunner, Trewq34!) Well detailed, accurate model Illuminating indicators that turn on with the headlights Functioning front and rear indicators (can be used with indicator script) Proper bug-free dummy placement Stable, crash-free model (tested in game thoroughly) Feel free to leave any suggestions, comments, concerns, ect below.
I will include the template below in case there are any enthusiastic skin-creators that wish to make a skin for this vehicle (I will showcase skins made here).

Nice, Only thing I would have to say about the Interceptor would be that the Interior is a bit inaccurate but no big deal.

The new Ford Explorer isn't even that large when compared to some of the vehicles in America. Take those lifted dually pickups for example, those things are huge.
 
Need I say it, but most of Europe simply has no need for larger SUVs and 4x4's. In America and Australia (and I'm sure many other countries too), there is a need for them. Though, over here everyone drives a Toyota (specifically the Land Cruiser model), as they're super reliable and extremely robust.

Sure, except that it's very useful and has many advantages over a little car. A two-door isn't going to go through heavy snow. Where I live, people own trucks and SUV's so they can travel in bad conditions. 
 
For trucks, some people need to make hauls to the dump. Maybe they make a living doing home improvement, and need a truck to do that line of work? Some people may own boats or trailers, and they need a vehicle capable of towing it. Again, a little compact Swedish car isn't going to do that. Some people like to go offroading, and again, you can't do that in a tiny car. 
 
No offense, but I'm not a fan of Swedish vehicles either. I actually they're too small to have any practical use. No trunk space and no practical use other than going to work and back. While our "oversized" vehicles can do that, and everything else, while only suffering MPG numbers. Plus us "dumb Americans" invented cylinder deactivation that your vehicles copied. SUV's and trucks can get respectable numbers with this technology, while being versatile all-around. 
 
I'm sorry, but the "hey, let's make fun of America" jokes are getting a bit old here. This is just my honest opinion, backed up with some facts.
