I don't understand how it's bullshit that it says the name of the user reading it...For you it says him1250, for me it says willpv23, for c13 it says c13, so on and so forth for all 114,340 members.

It does in fact say the name of the user reading it, whoever that is. No comment on whether or not it's a troll account, but before you call bullshit, try logging out and looking at the page.

It's for the better. I have nothing to hide, and to be honest, maybe there are no terrorists, but I'm sure that's because the NSA have scared them off. I'm sure all the terrorists and other violent rioters know that they are being watched, which is great. I'm not going to sign the petition for those reasons. I think it's fine the NSA are watching us, as much as I like to joke around. The NSA does it for our good, and you guys shouldn't have anything to hide. The NSA will not care unless they deem you suspicious. Come on guys, have some faith in the gov't :)

I'm laughing so hard right now.

NSA's one smart guy.

You just went full retard Canadian. The NSA is a surveillance group that have recently been accused of extracting and analyzing data from mobile phones within the United States, without the citizens' permission - which they have every right to do, since I'm pretty sure that there's some sort of elastic clause in our constitution, and if not, the same one from the 1790s.

Why have faith? What have they done to deserve it?

You misread the Elastic Clause. First, it exists because Congress doesn't have a general police power. In general, unless the Constitution specifically allows Congress to make a law about a topic, they can't. Unfortunately, any simple list of specific topics will inevitably leave out things that are in fact needed; the classic example was that Congress doesn't explicitly have the authority to create a national bank, but it's hard to control a currency without one. It does not override any of the rights in the Bill of Rights. Second, the Fourth Amendment, coming later than Article I, overrides it. Later laws override previous laws.

I'm not sure what kind of life you have to have nothing to hide from anyone. There are plenty of things I don't want to announce to the world. There are things I don't consider public info. I don't see why an NSA analyst should get to know whatever they choose to know. I don't feel comfortable talking about private matters to strangers on the street; what has an NSA employee done to move from "stranger" to "trusted confidant"?

The NSA didn't do this to scare off terrorists. I'm sure you forgot the part where they kept this whole program secret until someone leaked it, resulting in him being pursued by the government. They'd rather you *not* know they're listening; their role isn't intimidation. It's information gathering.

So you're telling me, you'd rather have this whole operation gone, when we don't know 100% it still exists? And before you try and prove me wrong by saying it does exist, I won't believe you unless you work for the NSA, are a member in the President's Cabinet, an FBI agent, or any other sort of intelligence agency in Washington/rest of the US. Now, I mean, I really don't care. I like it, it makes you think you're safe, if you know what I mean. Just like willpv said, the citizens will never trust a government (unless we go back to 1780 and George Washington is President), and vice-versa. We are in the top 3 in population - which is a big, big number; therefore, we need a government that will watch over us and find out if anything suspicious is happening. If you've watched "NOVA: The Spy Factory" (was on PBS, and still is on Netflix), it shows NSA agents tracing down phone calls of terrorist activity. It was either on NOVA or Killing bin Laden -  one of the two.

My point is, many people don't like the NSA watching over us, but I do. It ensures some protection, and even if it does, at least the citizens think they're safe, which was one of the main goals of the Founding Fathers.

The same Founding Fathers who wrote that the government may not search private papers without probable cause? Those founding fathers? They supported the government spying to keep people safe?

Are you serious?

The citizens don't and shouldn't trust the government - suspicion is healthy. Terrorism is not some new threat. It's not a war, this is not a military operation. Espionage is acceptable against foreign governments, but the American people aren't an enemy you get to spy on for nebulous claims of "safety".

You know the whole situation is bad when each member of the five eyes has another member of the group spy on its own citizens.  It's not like the NSA acknowledge and respect the fact that spying on US citizens in the US is illegal, instead they just have someone else do it.  I don't think anyone should trust the NSA when they don't even respect the constitution or the principles of the country in which they operate.  The funny thing, though, is that most people will simply keep on saying their pledge of allegiance and worshiping their flag and be entirely accepting of the fact that people who don't are terrorists.

Also, Mutsu said "We are in the top 3 in population - which is a big, big number; therefore, we need a government that will watch over us and find out if anything suspicious is happening."  I would argue that this shouldn't really be the top priority of your federal government right now.   How about providing a basic level of universal healthcare to your citizens, how about stopping the spree of shootings throughout the country, or how about setting up proper regulation of authorities so that things like this don't even get off the ground in the first place.  Everyone knows that the NSA, FBI and even local police can act without impunity in the US.  There's no regulation of law enforcement at all and agencies are just free to make up their own rules on the spot, no matter how outlandish they are.  The NSA does this, the FBI does this (see Waco, Ruby Ridge) and the LAPD/SBCSD did this by shooting up innocent people in the Dorner manhunt, and then burning the guy alive in a cabin.

Anyone that thinks they are safe from their government, the banks and big business is in for a very rude awakening. Take the Red pill, join those of us that are awake and went down the rabbit hole. Awaken and see what is really going on in the matrix we live in.

That illumentai thing is pretty cool, Would be nice if NSA shared that link maybe people would start thinking at least..............................................

Illuminati are dead for sure, I destroyed them in Deus Ex 3! Of course, reptilians are still out there...

people would start thinking at least...

I just don't get it.. Not trying to start that flame war again, just a small question: do you think in modern world it's possible to have no organizations which monitor society and at the same time remain the most powerful country in the world?

The World Bank is the power of the earth not the US or any other country for that matter. You are owned by the US Government/Federal Reserve just check out the fine print on your birth certificate. You are a commodity of the US Government against which they borrow money. We all know that 10% of the worlds population has 90% of the wealth. Now research what families own that wealth and check it against the 13 bloodlines I mentioned above. In a nut shell you are a slave to a world economic system that is meant since its inception to make a small percentage rich and in control. The NSA like most other agencies of its kind are nothing more then pawns to the Power Elite that they use to keep the slaves in line.

I stockpile food and water I strive to live off the grid with my own power etc. This to the NSA makes me a terrorist and I am not even American. I am on several watch lists due to my outspokenness on this topic and I can't cross into the US anymore without fear of being picked up and never allowed to return. Everyone IS being watched... Everyone is being evaluated for thier threat level. and many of YOU will end up in the FEMA reeducation camps when SHTF....
