Realism Feature

Featured Replies

When making traffic stops, I'd love to be able to leave my wheels turned instead of them snapping back to the straight position.

Someone else had this thought in GTA: SA and made a mod: http://www.gamemodding.net/en/gta-san-andreas/gta-sa-cleo-scripts/17337-kolesa-povernutye-pri-vyhode-s-avto.html

Someone care to make it for GTA IV?

It would add a needed element of realism to the game, and I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy using it :)

This is one of those very little things that makes a game so much better. I always like in Arma when you roll up to a firefight and quickly disembark your HMMWV, then when you come back, it's exactly how you left it when you pulled up - wheels turned and everything.

"Work and ideas get stolen, then you keep moving on doing your thing."

What do you mean, the same handling mode, but when you was pressing button "A" which is left and and you exit your vehicle it still turned left or the "REAL" driving where you really need to MANUALLY turn the wheel and doesn't make the wheels automatically straight when you are not pressing any driving button? I think is will be a very realistic mod, but I think it will be very hard to drive if it is a "REAL" Driving mod

Cars would still drive the same, but when getting out of the car if you held the A or D keys the wheels would stay turned.

The smallest things would make the biggest difference, I too think this would be cool.

I always thought that

Im a games programmer and i could make this but i need a more in depth description of exactly what you want for example the simplest thing for me to do is if when you get out the wheels are turned save the value and when you get back in set the 'steer' variable to the same. would this suffice or would you need something more advanced.

Damn Yea, This would be so Realistic, This Script has to be made up, I'll try and see what I can do, and that I'm not an very good programmer, and that I thought about this months and months ago, but I have forgetting it and left it.

-and that this simplest thing, can turn at to be an Highest thing

I think the best way to have it done, is if you press and hold the A or D key while exiting, the wheels are fully turned to the direction that you've pressed until you get back into the car and start moving.  Then it reverts to normal driving.

That doesn't work
