For someone that's on the community team, You guys are being negative about the whole thing and I guess your ones who didn't sign the petition!

Thanks for the negative waves from the community team members!!

I guess the members will just have to keep the faith!!!

Its not called being negative, its called being sensible and looking at the situation then making a relevant decision, it happens a lot in the adult world.

I didn't sign the petition because it won't do anything to change Rockstar's stance on whether they should make one or not, like Unreal said, this game cost upwards of 10+ million to make and the rough estimate of $8.4million from 140,000 PC sales is barely a dent on what they spent to make it.

As I've said before, it'll come out on PC. People need to learn to be patient. I'm actually tired of re-alliterating my point so just look at these stats:

Can we PLEASE just stop! I hate seeing those key words such as "GTA V" and "PC". Seriously, consoles are starting to take over the PC generation. Yes, it's fun to play on the computer, but consoles WILL win this! I honestly think R* should put up a "yes" or "no" to the PC just so people will shut up!

The PC gaming community's not going anywhere, anytime soon. I don't think a lot of people are willing to give up the modding capabilities, higher visual settings, settings tweaking, and overall freedom the PC copies of most games

offer. I'm not in anyway trying to "diss" consoles, or their users, but I'm sure the reasons stated prevously are enough to keep the PC community well populated and thriving.

I just can't stop laughing at this!

But anyway, we all just have to wait for official Rockstar info.

Stop what? Stop talking about GTA V coming to PC on a forum based around a modification for GTA IV on PC? Yeah, that's not gonna happen. If you don't want to see it, don't click on the thread, but this sort of thing is *exactly* what you should expect lots of threads about on a site devoted to the PC version of the previous game in the series.

Have you not seen the other 500 forums about it?! They all almost have the exact same posts about it!

If they keep the PC version quiet for now, people will keep yapping about it. If they release any details about the PC version, there's going to be talk about it.

Trust me, if they release ANY details about the PC version, forums will go boom with the news, it won't make any difference if they keep it quiet or if they release info.

How?

How?

Example:

TODAY:

  • They should release a PC version
  • PETITION HAS 250,000 SIGNATURES!
  • RUMOURS!!!!!
  • MAKE 100,000,000 TOPICS SO ROCKSTAR KNOWS WE WANT A PC VERSION!!!

AFTER ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • OMG PC VERSION
  • WOOOOOO PC VERSION
  • IT NEEDS TO COME OUT RIGHT NOW
  • MAKE 100,000,000 TOPICS SO EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THEY ANNOUNCED A PC VERSION!!!

It'll be just as bad after they announce it, just like now when they haven't announced it.

red dead revolver is not a game!!!!

It is a game.  Perhaps I misunderstand your point.

Red Dead Revolver is a western third-person shooter video game, developed by Rockstar San Diego, published by Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive in North America and Europe, and by Capcom in Japan, for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. It was first released in North America on May 4, 2004. It is the first game in the Red Dead series. On December 18, 2012, the game was released on PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Store.

:wallbash: because it wasn't a big seller like GTA IV, that's why!

Online petition calling for PC version of upcoming open-world action game reaches new signature milestone.

The Change.org petition calling on Rockstar Games to release a PC version of Grand Theft Auto V has surpassed 200,000 signatures. At press time, 207,971 have signed the online document.

GTAV77_48397_embed.jpg

This figure is up from 150,000 in February and 100,000 at the end of November.

According to Rockstar Games cofounder Dan Houser, a PC version of the open-world game is "up for consideration," though that's all the company has said on the matter.

The petition says it is a "big shame" that GTAV is not announced for the PC, specifically calling out the modding community being a "huge part" of PC gaming. "Modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have," a line from the petition reads.

A since-removed Rockstar Leeds job advertisement sought a programmer to help bring the company's "latest titles" to PC. This would potentially include GTAV.

The PC iteration of Grand Theft Auto IV launched about eight months after the console versions shipped in April 2008.

Well, if it doesn't come to PC.. than i'm sure someone will convert the map, just like they did with RDR...

Hell, someone will probably in their basement for 8 months converting it for us.... lol

Everything needs more lights.

Seriously, consoles are starting to take over the PC generation.

This post made me lol so hard.

Tell that to the people who buy an Xbox One 6 years from now and see who is laughing.

I don't understand why people are STILL so worried...look at Harper's post. Every main GTA came out on PC 7 or 8 months after the original release. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. I don't think a PC version was EVER announced before the release of the console game (could be wrong though). Why would this time be any different? Piracy was around when the others came out, mods were around when the others came out, new consoles were even coming out soon after San Andreas was released. GTA V is in the same exact situation. So, please, people who still don't think GTA V is coming to PC, answer me: what is different this time?

People would trust R* more if they brought RDR to the PC.

Because they didn't, some are worried that they may do the same with GTA V.

I was disapointed that they did not port over RDR, but I doubt they wouldn't port over GTA5.  They've been porting every GTA over to PC, I'd give it about a year after console release for PC.  And don't rule out the fact that Max Payne 3 was an amazing PC port compared to GTA4 and alot of other PC games out there.
