Your Favourite Police Procedural TV Show?

Featured Replies

So many to choose from...yikes, lol. NYC 22 is a good show in my opinion, would of liked to see more seasons, but at least you can still see it on Netflix. I think for Policing though, Boston's Finest takes the cake for me, although Alaska State Troopers is fun to watch too to just see how diverse some of those troopers have to be. Also gotta' throw Flashpoint in there too, but I am definitely not a fan of any of the CSI series.

nyc 22  one of those shows that wasnt really given a chance on that revolving door network known as CBS; came in early 2012 and left after 1 season

I love all kinds of crime/police drama/reality

Just to name a few..

NCIS, NCIS LA, Cops, Alaska state troopers, rookie blue, law and order, flashpoint, campus pd, Southland,  Hawaii 5-0, Criminal minds, castle..

^I watch all of these regularly. The ones that are still running, that is..

My favorite is Rookie Blue, probably only because I want to bang Missy Peregrym..

nobody likes you CSI

Veni vidi vici

I'm really not into the whole scripted police shows and I don't really watch much TV nowadays since most of it is complete garbage.

Anyway my favourites are Cops, The Force - Behind the Line and Australia's Highway Patrol.

That's pretty scary, Canningvale is only a couple suburbs down from where I live.

COPS, Border Wars, Alaska State Troopers, The First 48. That's just a few I can think off the top of my head. I have to agree with TownDrunk that I dislike most Police Dramas due to the over played action scenes and really dilapidated love story's that ensue. Not to mention Police Shows have kinda gotten old with the producers over doing it. There's always at least one new Police Drama coming out and it can get old. I'm more into the realistic Reality shows, although recently I've taken a minor interest in SouthLand.

There's a few series that are on TV here in Holland that I like and that aren't Dutch so you'll know them: Alaska State Troopers, NCIS, Law & Order, Flashpoint and some British series that I don't know the name of because over here they renamed it and put in Dutch a voice-over.

The ones with voice-overs are problably Police Interceptors and Road Wars since we have those as well on Belgian tv. I for one can't stand shows like Flashpoint and Rookie Blue. I prefer cop shows with real police officers like COPS and, as Jam said, without all the romance. I also like documentaries like Drugs Inc. which follow law enforcement (DEA, sheriff's offices,...) in their battle against narcotics.

"Dura lex, sed lex"

SouthLAnd wins, but recently I've really been into Longmire and Blue bloods. Used to watch COPS but it got a little old for me. Gonna give Bostons Finest another shot and Alaska State Trooper.

COPS, Vegas Strip [Made by Langley, the same folks that did COPS], and The First 48 currently capture my attention.  I've always preferred realism as opposed to the scripted styles of other shows.

Random question; has anyone aside from me watched "Car 54 Where Are You?"
