So excited for this! Once it is in a good state with lots of plugins available, Im definitely trashing the older version of GTA. Bye bye slightly yuckier graphics!

Some updates on how the development is going would be cool at least. A lot of people are anticipating this, and, while I am not trying to put pressure on anybody and I, in all sincerity and seriousnes

Regarding the Invision 5, how big of a pain in the "greatest" CMS, is actually that update? I guess that you mostly rely on your own scripts, but what is your opinion on the changes (and actually forcing the users to do it in the future or just succumb to issues). As a person whose community relied on scripts available on Marketplace, it is pain in the...

Unless stock Invision 5 has all the features you are looking for, I don't think it's a viable platform anymore (unless you have extensive dev experience with it).
We had to basically re-introduce hooking ourselves for our own custom software, as we extensively modify various parts of the suite.

I see the biggest LSPDFR update ever coming then realize it probably won't support Legacy.. if you are gonna do that might be less time consuming to just scrap LSPDFR and work on getting ready for GTA 6 which legacy PC's won't run anyway.

Ikr? Or at least make a seperate version of it where you can download legacy as well as enhanced.

when will the enhanced version come out? i have been waiting since enhanced came out.

you should just download enhanced. it takes up less space (90 gb compared to 120) it runs smoother, and you can ensure that you can play lspdfr

still support the legacy version

Yes, and my uess would be that it would only have to be done once. After Enhanced is released i doubt RS will add anything new to legacy.
Enhanced is a new executable and they want all current online players to buy that.
Enhanced is a ploy to get the outermost out of gtaV! So kind of a scam.

Let me know if you find it interesting.

As Ben has outlined in his initial post, the development is still in early stages. There’s no estimated date for the release of it.

Getting ready for GTA 6 is a bit far fetched in my opinion. There still won’t be a PC release at the same time as on console this fall. Even if, developing an RPH-like counterpart for VI won’t be immediately possible anyways.

Adding support for GTA V EE is a great compromise. Lots of other different mods have already either been ported to the new branch or are going to be soon like NVE, CoreFX etc.

I hope RS wont force their users to install the enhanced version, if so, then i will uninstall gta and never look back.

Given they added two branches of the game with legacy and enhanced, I don’t see why they’d suddenly remove the legacy one.

I just want to get this right so the legacy version of the game and the mods won’t work anymore? If so that sucks because I don’t really have the money nor equipment to run the newer graphics and stuff on the newer version 😔, I really hope it does still work for both…… I have a nvidia GeForce 3050 rtx ti, but I'm not super tech savvy and don't know if what I have is even good to play the new enhanced version of the game or the mods with the game. Just looking for some clarification and I have enough ram..

Everything will continue to run on the legacy version of the game but will continue to require updates as normal if Rockstar continues to update the legacy version. At the moment it's unclear what Rockstar's intentions really are and if they will continue to update the legacy version along with the enhanced version.

If Rockstar discontinues updates for the legacy version, all existing mods will continue to function as they do now without needing any updates.

It's not that, it's just that I can't be bothered waiting for many mods that are broken on Enhanced to be upgraded. So everyone who wants to play LSPDFR on Enhanced they can but I would still prefer Legacy to be downloadable tbh.

As it was stated before, we shall see.

No real use speculating on whether LSPDFR will be maintained or not for Legacy when they are still very early in the development stages of Enhanced. I'm sure with time all that will be covered in a future post when decisions are made.

Rockstar actually did remove the Legacy version from the Steam and Epic stores. It's been de-listed. If a person already has the Legacy version, they can still play it or download it if they need to, but you can't buy the Legacy version anymore.
