eazbox got a reaction from IJNagato in Is there any way to change my default pistol to the pistol MK2 in lspdfr?Go to your Grand Theft Auto V\lspdfr\data folder and edit the inventory.xml BUT BEFORE YOU DO, COPY THE FILE TO DESKTOP AS BACKUP.
To edit, just use Notepad, you dont need any "fancy" app/programs for this, just edit the inventory.xml and locate where it says "<Name>Patrol</Name>" now under that it should show <Weapon chance="45">WEAPON_PISTOL</Weapon>, now replace WEAPON_PISTOL with weapon_pistol_mk2 and that will give you the mk2 every time you go on patrol or when you go on patrol sellect Patrol as inventory.
Then just save file and go into the game and try it.
You can replace all the weapons in that file if you like, here is a link to weapons id page: https://wiki.rage.mp/index.php?title=Weapons

You can even add more to your list of weapons, just add new lines that match those and ofc. replace the ID with the new weapons you like.
Also, the higher the number Weapon chance="45" is, the better chance of you getting that weapon every time you go on patrol.

Let me make it more simple for you in the future, dont reply to any of my post then, that way you will have less to read.

It would also give the consumer (player base in this case) the heads up if they can just copy paste their plugins or not instead of experimenting.
Would love to see this answer.

Yes, and my uess would be that it would only have to be done once. After Enhanced is released i doubt RS will add anything new to legacy.
Enhanced is a new executable and they want all current online players to buy that.
Enhanced is a ploy to get the outermost out of gtaV! So kind of a scam.

I just want to get this right so the legacy version of the game and the mods won’t work anymore? If so that sucks because I don’t really have the money nor equipment to run the newer graphics and stuff on the newer version 😔, I really hope it does still work for both…… I have a nvidia GeForce 3050 rtx ti, but I'm not super tech savvy and don't know if what I have is even good to play the new enhanced version of the game or the mods with the game. Just looking for some clarification and I have enough ram..

So to anyone who wants the new police cars to your Police Garage you need to do this:
BEFORE YOU DO THIS!!!! BACKUP YOUR FILES "dlclist.xml AND duty_selection.xml AND agency.xml" !!!!
Open OpenIV and go to folder:
Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data
Go edit the dlclist.xml and add this
<Item>dlcpacks:/mp2024_02/</Item>
Then save it and close OpenIV.
Then go to your lspdfr\data folder and edit these two files:
duty_selection.xml and agency.xml
Put this into agency.xml :
<Vehicle is_mp="true" use_modkit_liveries="true" livery_multi="1,2,3,4,5,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20">polcoquette4</Vehicle>
<Vehicle is_mp="true" use_modkit_liveries="true" livery_multi="1,2,3,4,5,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27">polcaracara</Vehicle>

I guess you could put them under each angency, but whats the point when you can just pick and style the car at the first agency.

I always use a trainer to spawn my police cars and I use Ultimate Backup to customize the backup units, which is a little bit easier at least for me.
I spawn this specific car with Addon Spawner or Simple Trainer, but I didn't set up for backup yet because I just updated my game and got everything working again 😄

I dont think i can do that with the xml files. Tho, i could be wrong?
Any help doing that is greatly appreciated, with what the name of the car is and what to write.
And if so in trainer. what name should i be looking for?

Don‘t forget to also add the vehicle to your agency.xml (same path).
