Cj24's Modifications

You have to understand that not all of our members want to search through 10 different sites every day for new mods

Not all of your members would like to search through 192 pages of unsorted vehicle modifications either. That's the answer as to why most of us stopped uploading.

  • Just tested it, it works absolutely fine:   As visible in the picture as well, any of the front LEDs of the Liberty can be turned into a steady burn activating together with the secondaries, tho

Unsorted modifications which can be filtered and/or sorted by star rating, vehicle type, ELS compatibility, model status, title, views, date added, rating, lightbar, special features, credits and game version compatibility.

This has the best, most useful filtering imo.

In my experience (3 months of having GTA IV for PC), LCPDFR has by far the easiest, most convenient layout for their downloads page. It's the most organized. I hate trying to find mods on other sites, on here it is seamless. And like someone else just stated, they have many filters to make searches easier.

My purpose of this post was not to criticize LCPDFR or to tell the reason why I'm not uploading here, it was to explain why I'm not releasing anything. It's not only because I don't like the hundreds of pages of mods, I've written months ago that I have more reasons than just this. And my website is almost two years old, and it's not the only place I'm uploading my mods to.

But indeed, I don't understand why it's a problem to allow links to mods. That way users won't leave your website if they want to stay up to date, they click the link, visit GTA4-Mods, GTAInside or whatever website, download the file, and go back. Seeing the reputation you guys recieved for your posts, I'm likely the only one who thinks like that.

Maybe I will upload some of my mods in future, maybe not. I'll not decide now, as I don't release anything anyways. And guys, there're just 8 mods I haven't uploaded here. I created probably more than 100 and uploaded around 60 here, so this isn't really a lot.

It's a problem because honestly it's a bit of a slap in the face.  It just says to me "screw you, I don't like you or your site so I'm not going to upload on it any more, oh and to rub some salt in the wounds, I'm going to upload to other places and post the links to those other places on your site".

I like you and I like your mods, I just don't get why you upload them everywhere else except here.  I mean GTA4-Mods has 162 pages of vehicles which you can't even filter yet you upload there, so I don't get it?

Everyone here wants you to be part of LCPDFR and post your stuff here, just look at what happened the last time you did:

1000+ downloads, 7000+ views.

I'll release all my modifications in future on my own website.

As I said, that's not my way of thinking, but it's your website.

I'm not uploading them everywhere, apart from some exceptions I'm uploading only to my own website. I try to keep control of my work, I, as well as others had some bad experience in the past. And as I've written before, I didn't make any final decision about where I'll upload.

Of course I try to promote my work, I always like to see somebody is using one of my cars. This is the place where the most people look and it wouldn't be my intention to make these guys rather go to a different website to find a mod than allowing modders to post links to their cars. This discussion here is concerning me, but I'm not the only one.

See, that's another thing my opinion of is different. I'm not happy with the current releases, there're far more models, though some are in a worse shape and a lot are nothing new, just different CVPI with some unlocked lightbar. I don't like what the police modding community is going to turn into, and I'm not the only one. This is nothing a website staff can be blamed for, it is the behaviour of the community.

And checking my older mods, 1000 downloads isn't really a lot. On other websites, I have almost 5000 downloads for this exact car.

To get back to topic, the cars are still in progress. Before I finish my WIPs, I won't release or start anything new, I have some of these projects for months now. The LAPD Pack is going to include a 2013 Charger, the Charger and Tahoe Slicktop Pack will have both rambar and grill lights variants.

I really don't see the problem here. Cj24 has its own site. So it's obvious he uploads his art on his site. Makes perfect sense... Anyone would release his work on his own site if he had one.

CLICKY

In my eyes, Cj is doing what Sam did with LCPDFR, which is quite normal.

Sam made LCPDFR and decided to move from GPM because he didn't like the way GPM was run, and he wanted to have his own site.

Mostly the same story with Cj - so I don't see how this is a big deal.

Actually I started the website at the time GPM was down for weeks and afterwards lost content of months. But that's a different story.

My LAPD pack seems to be complete now, even though there're a lot of people saying there are enough LAPD mods, it's going to be released definitly. It includes 13 different models, each of them trying to be an exact replica of the original.

Is there a ETA of when the LAPD Pack will be released?

Unmarked Charger in second pic is sitting too high on wheels. Even higher than the Tahoe itself.

Not caused by the model. I replaced the cars just with some civilian stuff, if you use a proper handling, there'll be no problems.
