ABOUT :

Modern Siren Pack is a sound modification that introduces current generation real-world siren tones to GTA V, giving you a realistic emergency driving atmosphere. This modification will restructure the discontinued American Siren Pack modification and evolve into a larger scale siren modification for Grand Theft Auto V. The sound pack aims to introduce all known siren brands from around the world, and to allow you to choose the siren tones you want to have. The mod also aims to provide you with a smoother and easier installation experience. Modern Siren Pack is compatible with Emergency Lighting System V by Lt.Caine & Siren Mastery by Albo1125.

The best part about this mod? It's F.R.E.E.

Yup, I don't charge a single dime for this mod, unlike many other greedy "content creators' out there. For the love of god, don't pay $6 for a siren pack when this one is free ...

FEATURES :

The siren pack is in ongoing development, with limited and doctored/unedited siren tones. The siren pack will offer over 8 different Siren manufacture brands including but not limited to: Whelen Engineering, Federal Signal Corporation, Code 3 PSE, Feniex, Sound Off Signal, Rontan, Carson and Star/SVP. Modern Siren Pack will also include several foreign siren tones that are used  in other countries.

Some siren brands will come with four standard tones ( Wail, Yelp, Priority, Hi-Lo/Misc. Tones, ) including air horn. The siren tones in the pack will have a maintained level of volume, and quality assurance to give you the experience you want to have, especially by getting attention of other drivers on the road while responding code 3.  Some siren brands are versatile for Fire/Rescue - EMS roles.

IMPORTANT NOTE :

Modern Siren Pack Alpha is your chance to experience the mod as it evolves throughout its development process. It is a work in progress and therefore contains a variety of bugs. I strongly advise you to expect the following bugs before you report it to me: volume level differences, some are quiet whereas others are louder. Not all siren models will have complete siren tones set regarding their real-life counterparts. Changes will occur, and I will omit some.  By using Modern Siren Pack, you understand what Alpha Pack means and are interested in taking part in the ongoing development cycle.

Sirens provide an essential function of an effective audio/visual warning system. However, sirens are only short range secondary devices. The use of a siren does not ensure that all drivers can or will abide by or react to an emergency warning signal, especially at high rates of speeds or long distances. The operator of the vehicle must never take the right of way for granted, and it is the operator’s responsibility to proceed safely.

Thank you for supporting the Modern Siren Pack.  --- " 132 & in uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i got him at gunpoint. Cover is code 3. "

Audio Strings

At the time of writing this guide, only the horn and siren audio strings listed below are known. These are meant for use in the SOUNDS section of the VCF.

• SIRENS_AIRHORN (Main air horn, 0x0EA58C7C.wav)
• VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_1 (Main wail, 0x0D329446.wav)
• VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_2 (Main yelp, SIREN_2.wav)
• VEHICLES_HORNS_POLICE_WARNING (Main priority, POLICE_WARNING.wav)
• VEHICLES_HORNS_AMBULANCE_WARNING (Ambulance priority, AMBULANCE_WARNING.wav)
• VEHICLES_HORNS_FIRETRUCK_WARNING (Fire truck horn, 0x14BFBCE3.wav)

As of September 13th, 2018, it is now possible to assign additional siren strings to ELS :

Firetruck Siren:

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_FIRETRUCK_WAIL_01" - Firetruck Primary
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_FIRETRUCK_QUICK_01" - Firetruck Secondary

Police Bike Siren:

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_03" - Police Bike Primary
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_03" - Police Bike Secondary

Sheriff (Granger) Siren:

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_04" - Sheriff (Granger) Primary

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_04" - Sheriff (Granger) Secondary

^ These two are not working as of 9/13/2018

FIB Siren:

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_02" - FIB Primary
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_02" - FIB Secondary

Ambulance Siren:

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_01" - Ambulance Primary
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_01" - Ambulance Secondary

MANUAL INSTALLATION :

Make a new folder somewhere on your desktop, name it anything
Move Both the Vehicle folder and vehicle.oac file out of this .rar pack into the folder you just created on the desktop
Open 'OpenIV' and go to your GTA V Directory.
In 'OpenIV', go to the 'x64' folder, then audio > sfx > resident.rpf ( it is advised that you use your mod folder instead of vanilla )
Inside Resident.rpf should be 16 .awc files.
Import openformats, navigate to the folder you put the Modern Siren Pack 'vehicles' folder and the 'vehicles.oac' in and  select the 'Vehicles.oac'
save and you're good to go. Respond Code 3 !

OIV INSTALLATION

OIV INSTALLATION :

1) Run OpenIV
2) Select Tools > Package Installer (Located on the toolbar at the top)
3) Locate 'Modern Siren Pack.OIV'
4) Select 'Open'
5) Choose 'MODS folder' to install in.
6) Respond Code 3.

Special thanks to @Albo1125 @FirstThirtyMinutes for the tutorial videos :

IF YOU WISH TO USE OTHER SIRENS TONES OTHER THAN STOCK TONES, YOU WILL NEED TO REFER TO YOUR SIREN HASHTAG DICTIONARY, AND USE THE NAMES FOR YOUR DESIRED TONES. MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE FOLDER DOES NOT EXCEED 15.7MB OR IT WILL MUTE THE SOUND DICTIONARY.

IF YOU USE THE RATING/REVIEW SYSTEM TO REPORT ISSUES/BUGS, I WILL IGNORE IT AND YOU WILL BE REPORTED.

Sorry if this is dumb, but did you do anything different to the .oiv or the .oac? I redownloaded to get a different siren and I used the .oiv. That worked. But I wanted a different one so I did the vehicles.oac thing and my sirens don't make any sound. I'm trying to use the Whelen Cencom Gold, but after I import openformats, I don't see 0x0D329446.wav in particular.(I only looked for that one) It seems like .oac will not import new files, only replace ones already in the .awc. Any help?

@GravelRoadCop

Would i be able to use the bullhorn/police horn from the Whelen Epsilon folder for a siren made by me? And if so who would i have to credit?

so i am a little confused here. the q siren for firetrucks has a whole bunch of noises in the file. do i only need to assign primary 1 and secondary in the els file and that will embody the whole siren collection for the q siren or is there something else i need to do. also what about the horn?

the other thing im confused about is how to change the sirens for the different categories. like fib or sheriff or ambulance. is it the same process as im mentioning?

also none of the fire or ems hash numbers exist in my vehicles.oac file

The truck horn (like on the Flatbed) now sounds like a police airhorn. Which file is overwriting this? I tried replacing 0x14BFBCE3.wav but this isn't the file.

It's a bit jarring to hear an airhorn coming from a semi truck in traffic (I'm not using ELS, siren mastery, or any other siren mods)

Yes, this has been bugging me forever. It's way too loud.

I installed this with the OIV installer package but when I replace the siren files in my Vehicles.awc with other sirens, the 1st wail stays the same but the others change to the siren I wanted. Any idea where to unistall the OIV package or find the one file to replace.

Is there a way to uninstall the .oiv package of the siren pack?

when i install via the manual method, the sirens dont change  theyre still default in fivem, and for GTA, the game doesnt load it just sits at the loading screen.  i also use a mods folder for it, so i dont know if using a mods folder doesnt let it work

also, do i also need to use the OIV installer with the manual installer?

after installing some sirens from this pack whenever i drive theres a super tiny noise almost like a harmonica sound playing quietly. it seems like it occurs whenever the suspension is creaking. any ideas? i had to mute some sound files in order to achieve the right file size.

Hi!

First I want to thank you for the pack, all sirens sound awesome. But I have a problem: All emergency vehicles in my game use the new sirens, except of mine. I have installed the pack manual as well as though the package installer. Furthermore, I use SirenMastery for a few vehicles and ELS for others. Could that be a problem? When I enter a vehicle, which is not mine and which played the new sirens just a few seconds ago, it switches back to the old sirens in the moment I get in. Please help me, like I said, I love your work!

Thank you again and have much fun playing ❤️

EDIT: Just found the solution: I just had to change the sirens in SirenMastery, as well. Now it works perfectly.

Only one question is left: Sound 4 is still the horn sound and not the one, I have with my one ELS vehicle (sounds similar to a German siren). How can I change this specific tone?

Do you recall which siren this is?  I know it's from your pack.

Ambulance sirens sound like there are 2 of them playing, like 2 ambulances driving together with the same siren enabled in the same moment. I changed ambulance sirens in ELS to the one provided in the description. Firetruck horn sounds like Mini-gun instead of an air horn. I'm using OIV package. I can record it if you need.

The dual sirens is normal, lol. It's part of the Whelen 295HFSC9 Siren model. As for the firetruck siren, I know what you mean, and it's unfortunately an issue on the game's end. Just change the firetruck horn trait to 0x0EA58C7C.

How would you install the update? Uninstall or just install the oiv over the old one? Also, how do you uninstall?

Thank you for the patience, guys. I don't know why it's taking a while, I've contacted an admin for resolution. Hang in there. Like I said, this update isn't anything special, I've only replaced 1 siren tone.

Love this mod but I have one problem. I did a manual install and everything works fine but my sirens are quiet. Any way to fix this?
