ABOUT :

Modern Siren Pack is a sound modification that introduces current generation real-world siren tones to GTA V, giving you a realistic emergency driving atmosphere. This modification will restructure the discontinued American Siren Pack modification and evolve into a larger scale siren modification for Grand Theft Auto V. The sound pack aims to introduce all known siren brands from around the world, and to allow you to choose the siren tones you want to have. The mod also aims to provide you with a smoother and easier installation experience. Modern Siren Pack is compatible with Emergency Lighting System V by Lt.Caine & Siren Mastery by Albo1125.

The best part about this mod? It's F.R.E.E.

Yup, I don't charge a single dime for this mod, unlike many other greedy "content creators' out there. For the love of god, don't pay $6 for a siren pack when this one is free ...

FEATURES :

The siren pack is in ongoing development, with limited and doctored/unedited siren tones. The siren pack will offer over 8 different Siren manufacture brands including but not limited to: Whelen Engineering, Federal Signal Corporation, Code 3 PSE, Feniex, Sound Off Signal, Rontan, Carson and Star/SVP. Modern Siren Pack will also include several foreign siren tones that are used  in other countries.

Some siren brands will come with four standard tones ( Wail, Yelp, Priority, Hi-Lo/Misc. Tones, ) including air horn. The siren tones in the pack will have a maintained level of volume, and quality assurance to give you the experience you want to have, especially by getting attention of other drivers on the road while responding code 3.  Some siren brands are versatile for Fire/Rescue - EMS roles.

IMPORTANT NOTE :

Modern Siren Pack Alpha is your chance to experience the mod as it evolves throughout its development process. It is a work in progress and therefore contains a variety of bugs. I strongly advise you to expect the following bugs before you report it to me: volume level differences, some are quiet whereas others are louder. Not all siren models will have complete siren tones set regarding their real-life counterparts. Changes will occur, and I will omit some.  By using Modern Siren Pack, you understand what Alpha Pack means and are interested in taking part in the ongoing development cycle.

Sirens provide an essential function of an effective audio/visual warning system. However, sirens are only short range secondary devices. The use of a siren does not ensure that all drivers can or will abide by or react to an emergency warning signal, especially at high rates of speeds or long distances. The operator of the vehicle must never take the right of way for granted, and it is the operator’s responsibility to proceed safely.

Thank you for supporting the Modern Siren Pack.  --- " 132 & in uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, i got him at gunpoint. Cover is code 3. "

Audio Strings

At the time of writing this guide, only the horn and siren audio strings listed below are known. These are meant for use in the SOUNDS section of the VCF.

• SIRENS_AIRHORN (Main air horn, 0x0EA58C7C.wav)
• VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_1 (Main wail, 0x0D329446.wav)
• VEHICLES_HORNS_SIREN_2 (Main yelp, SIREN_2.wav)
• VEHICLES_HORNS_POLICE_WARNING (Main priority, POLICE_WARNING.wav)
• VEHICLES_HORNS_AMBULANCE_WARNING (Ambulance priority, AMBULANCE_WARNING.wav)
• VEHICLES_HORNS_FIRETRUCK_WARNING (Fire truck horn, 0x14BFBCE3.wav)

As of September 13th, 2018, it is now possible to assign additional siren strings to ELS :

Firetruck Siren:

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_FIRETRUCK_WAIL_01" - Firetruck Primary
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_FIRETRUCK_QUICK_01" - Firetruck Secondary

Police Bike Siren:

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_03" - Police Bike Primary
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_03" - Police Bike Secondary

Sheriff (Granger) Siren:

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_04" - Sheriff (Granger) Primary

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_04" - Sheriff (Granger) Secondary

^ These two are not working as of 9/13/2018

FIB Siren:

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_02" - FIB Primary
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_02" - FIB Secondary

Ambulance Siren:

"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_WAIL_01" - Ambulance Primary
"RESIDENT_VEHICLES_SIREN_QUICK_01" - Ambulance Secondary

MANUAL INSTALLATION :

Make a new folder somewhere on your desktop, name it anything
Move Both the Vehicle folder and vehicle.oac file out of this .rar pack into the folder you just created on the desktop
Open 'OpenIV' and go to your GTA V Directory.
In 'OpenIV', go to the 'x64' folder, then audio > sfx > resident.rpf ( it is advised that you use your mod folder instead of vanilla )
Inside Resident.rpf should be 16 .awc files.
Import openformats, navigate to the folder you put the Modern Siren Pack 'vehicles' folder and the 'vehicles.oac' in and  select the 'Vehicles.oac'
save and you're good to go. Respond Code 3 !

OIV INSTALLATION

OIV INSTALLATION :

1) Run OpenIV
2) Select Tools > Package Installer (Located on the toolbar at the top)
3) Locate 'Modern Siren Pack.OIV'
4) Select 'Open'
5) Choose 'MODS folder' to install in.
6) Respond Code 3.

Special thanks to @Albo1125 @FirstThirtyMinutes for the tutorial videos :

IF YOU WISH TO USE OTHER SIRENS TONES OTHER THAN STOCK TONES, YOU WILL NEED TO REFER TO YOUR SIREN HASHTAG DICTIONARY, AND USE THE NAMES FOR YOUR DESIRED TONES. MAKE SURE THE VEHICLE FOLDER DOES NOT EXCEED 15.7MB OR IT WILL MUTE THE SOUND DICTIONARY.

IF YOU USE THE RATING/REVIEW SYSTEM TO REPORT ISSUES/BUGS, I WILL IGNORE IT AND YOU WILL BE REPORTED.

Federal Signal Smart Siren SSP3000B now available in the Smart Siren Folder. 2016 + LAPD/LASD are using this siren if I'm right. Installed as default for ELS usage.

Small issue I found thus far is with the airhorn.  There's a bit of popping when using it.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I checked the air horn wav file in audacity, set the track to repeat '30' times and I don't hear this 'pop.' I also checked to make sure that both ends of the track connects perfectly to create a seamless loop. You can see for yourself below. Do you use a headphone ? Is your volume set at high levels that it could create static or wash out the sirens  ? I will have to wait and see if others report and confirm your issue in the mean time. It could just be on your end only.

I don't believe it's on my end.  The last airhorn I had didn't have this.

@GravelRoadCop, just a slight mistake with the FedSig sirens. The EQ2B you've included is actually the just the Q2B, they're two different sirens.

I assure you, they are not mixed up. I know the differences between all of the Federal Signal electromechanical sirens and for this case, I recorded the tones from videos showing the actual products itself. I think we're fine here. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention :)

Any chance of you doing the SoundOff Signal Nergy Siren? It's got some funky tones, that seem to move traffic pretty good in the real world.

Does anyone know if it is possible for me to install the CHP siren but also have the default ELS siren in as well so that some vehicles use the default ELS one and the CHP one on different vehicles? My city and sheriff vehicles i would like to use the default ELS siren and I would like my highway vehicles to use the CHP one. Is this possible through ELS settings somehow?

There are two videos on the mod's page, and one of them is made by Albo, the creator of Siren Mastery. He explains how to make it work with this mod.

I love this mod and the sirens sound great, but when I use this mod my game crashes to black, blue, or pink screen and I have to hard restart my game and the only reason I know its this mod is because when I had it installed my game crashed 2 times in a row and then I took it out and now my game works fine so idk, but I wish I could use this siren pack.

If your vehicle folder is over 15.7mb then it will crash. Make sure you're not installing my sirens to another siren mod folder and using it.

Ok I think it might have been over 15.7mb, but all I did was put the original vehicle.oac file in the correct place like albo did in the video. So im not sure how to install it right, thank you for responding any help would be greatly appreciated.
