  1. Hi, these are the redists you will need to run LCPDFR. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549 (If you haven’t updated GFWL, use this). Also, you need to do more than just extracting the manual installation package into your directory. You need to read the LCPDFR Installation Guide.pdf which comes with the manual installation package. Everything is clearly explained in there.
  2. No problem at all, it is that I do around here. Let me know if you need any further assistance :)
  3. You'll have to remove ELS temporarily, just move the ELS files to another directory for a while. The manual installer has proven to be more stable, and there is a detailed guide in the download folder. Give it a try :)
  4. Would you be able to try it now? It's quite simple really :) Btw, when you installed LCPDFR, did you use the automatic or the manual installer?
  5. I see. I'm not that much of a expert of the LCPDFR engine, I'll leave that to LMS if he sees this. Did you try the second suggestion?
  6. A little something about your last points, the previous ones I agree with and they are good ideas. The EMS AI is that way in the vanilla GTA IV, and it is part of the GTA charm that they kill more than they save. I think one of the devs stated that there won't be implemented any EMS "fixes". Of course, there are other mods that may handle EMS better to suite your needs, VDH PoliceHelper. There already is a way to do this, if you put a GPS marker on your map and call for backup, the backup units will spawn in your general area and then drive to the waypoint. Most of the times, they do drive with you. Keep in mind that they drive quite terribly, and will often hit stuff and hurt officers. If you're not using ELS, the cars will arrive all banged up to the scene (also part of the GTA IV charm though imo).
  7. I can tell you that the taxibug is indirectly caused by the PreloadAllModels setting, but directly caused by your modded ELS vehicles. They are usually the cause for such a bug. Now, you have a great system so I have 2 suggestions, laid out below. 1 Try to create a file called commandline.txt in your root GTA IV directory and enter the following lines: -novblank -norestrictions -percentvidmem 100 -novsync -frameLimit 0 -nomemrestrict This should free some memory for you to use within your game, and hopefully stop the taxi-bug. 2 Try to use the game without the modded cars, and see if that does a difference. Simply copy your vehicles.img to a safe place, and replace it with the backup you made previous to installing the car mods. Let me know how that goes.
  8. If you're getting the taxi bug, you can use this mod ('?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>) Also, keep in mind that LCPDFR does not support third-party modifications, so crashes are to be expected when using these.
  9. Hello, I see you have the freval error. The freval error was fixed for some users by doing this: Open up your LCPDFR.ini, look under "Main", it should look something like this by default: Now, add to the bottom of that part PreloadAllModels=TrueThe "Main" part should now look like this:
  10. You will need the latest patch for GTA IV (http://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/200145406-Grand-Theft-Auto-IV-Patch-7-Title-Update-v-1-0-7-0-English-1-0-6-1-Russian-1-0-5-2-Japanese-) + these http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549 (If you haven’t updated GFWL, use this).
  11. If you use express mode it is.
  12. Hello, I recommend you to use the new version of LCPDFR, that is LCPDFR 1.0a, as LCPDFR 0.95RC2 is outdated. Link: (http://www.lcpdfr.com/files/download/4607-lcpd-first-response/)
  13. Yes, P toggles definition and you can press p again to turn it back to normal. And I am not sure I understand your question.
  14. I'm not really using any mods in my GTA IV at the moment. If you want to know, I am using LCPDFR 1.0 + Ekalbs vanilla cars and a trainer.
  15. The LCPDFR manual explains the usuage of the taser I believe :)
  16. Hi, try to follow this guide (>) if you can't get the taser to work.
  17. As soon as you add a mod, the game will be more unstable. Adding more and more mods will make the game even further unstable. Here's a guide for adding new cars, not replacing. It might be helpful for you (http://gtaforums.com/topic/420911-add-new-car-gta-iv/)
  18. Glad to hear it works :) You can get more vehicles in the Downloads section of this site, or other policing sites. ELS is a advanced lightning system for GTA IV, you can read about it if you go to the download page for it (on this site). I do not personally use it due to stability issues.
  19. Read the manual that comes with the mod, everything is detailed in that :)
  20. Yes, you delete the files that you installed if you used the manual installer. If not, just look for files named LCPDFR.
  21. If you want to do a clean reinstall, uninstall GTA IV and delete any left over files.
  22. I'd recommend the manual installer instead.
