  1. What do you mean? I thought the backup worked haha?
  2. Before asking, you might actually want to try to use the backup. So do that now.
  3. Important! Read this: ?do=embed#entry204057'' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> and this '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> Legal copy of the game? Running the game as administrator? Latest patch? What other mods are you using? What operating system are you using (Windows XP is NOT supported)? Make sure that LCPDFR 0.95 is removed (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-lcpdfr-r19). Also, please install these http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549 (If you haven’t updated GFWL, use this). Running the game as administrator: Go to the GTA IV folder, right click on GTAIV.exe, Properties, Compatibility and select 'Run this program as administrator', do the same exact thing to the LaunchGTAIV.exe.
  4. Does it work in single player? LCPDFR isn't optimized for MP.
  5. Please use the manual installer instead and install these http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549 (If you haven’t updated GFWL, use this).
  6. That should be it. I'm not really sure what could be wrong then :/
  7. Well it might just be you with this specific crash. Have you tried a clean install?
  8. Knowing Yard, non-els! Praise be :D
  9. These are the redists: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549 (If you haven’t updated GFWL, use this).
  10. Very well, just keep in mind those games aren't similar one bit. GTA IV is quite the.. um...pain the behind. Anyway, are you using any other mods? Launching the game as administrator? Installed all the redists? Did you use the manual or automatic installer?
  11. That card seems to be a intergrated graphics card, which isn't recommended for GTA IV. Also, the logs please :)
  12. At this point, I'd recommend a clean install. Not really sure what could be wrong. This type of issue happen from time to time sadly.
  13. Since the OP already fixed it, I do not find it to be a particulary good idea to change anything at the moment. I am glad to see more people help out, but I find it pecuilar when you ask a user in a 4 days old topic to change something that works, and on top of that, asks this user to change to a less stable mod program and a less stable ASI loader, which isn't the one recommended for LCPDFR (and as such can make the game even less stable).
  14. I'll try and get back to this thread tomorrow. It's closing in to 4 am here, so I need my beauty-sleep.
  15. "So...Please reply with a fix :P" Um. I'll just open my document of awesome fixes :P Create a file called commandline.txt in your GTA IV root directory and enter the following lines: -renderquality 0 -shadowdensity 0 -texturequality 0 -viewdistance 0 -detailquality 0 -novblank -norestrictions -percentvidmem 100 -minspecaudio -novsync -renderquality 0 -frameLimit 0 -nomemrestrict
  16. Hm maybe. Is UAC disabled? (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/hyperyash/archive/2012/07/18/disabling-user-account-control-in-windows-8.aspx) Are these installed? http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30653 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5549 (If you haven’t updated GFWL, use this).
  17. Is the game being launched as a administrator?
  18. I see you have ELS. Does it work without any other mods but LCPDFR? LCPDFR is only officially supported on a unmodded copy of the game.
  19. You can barely run Microsoft Word on that. I wouldn't recommend running GTA IV at all, even without mods. The specs for GTA IV are these: Supported Operating Systems: Windows Vista (plus Service Pack 1) Windows XP (plus Service Pack 3, DirectX 9, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5) Minimum: Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz Memory: 1.5GB Free Hard Drive Space: 16GB Video Card: 256MB NVidia 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900 DirectX 9 compatible Stereo Sound Card Recommended: Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz Memory: 2GB (Windows XP) 2.5GB (Windows Vista) Free Hard Drive Space: 18GB Video Card: 512MB NVIDIA 8600 / 512MB ATI 3870 DirectX 9 compatible Surround Sound Card ... plus you need enough memory to run Windows 7 + its applications.
  20. Did you uninstall it? (http://www.lcpdfr.com/page/tutorials/index.action/_/script-data-file-modification-tutorials/how-to-uninstall-lcpdfr-r19)
