  1. From the General Etiquette section of the Community Guidelines: As for your issue, I believe "Direct3D device lost" will always show up at the end of the log. When you close the game, the "direct3D device" is lost. Do you have a commandline?

  6. LCPDFR has a feature where you can have the lights without the sirens. Press * on the numpad after activating the siren normally (with G) or press / on the numpad to go through 3 "stages" of lights only mode. As for the error with LCPDFR, you need to use the AdvancedHook.dll from LCPDFR and not ELS. Just download the LCPDFR manual installation and copy the file into your main GTA IV directory. (Please keep future LCPDFR support in the LCPDFR Support section, though). With ELS crashing the game, uninstall ELS, then install LCPDFR with the manual installation. This will give you all of the updated dependencies. If the game works, install ELS by only copying the ELS folder, ELS.asi, and ELS.ini (and optionally the common folder) from the ELS installation. Do not copy anything other than those files/folders.
  7. Yes, but you replaced it when you installed ELS. Get the latest AdvancedHook.dll from the LCPDFR manual installation. Do not copy AdvancedHook.dll from ELS.
  8. Nothing to see here! This thread has been closed by LCPDFR.com staff, because it has been created in an incorrect forum section. We require that LCPDFR support requests are created in the LCPDFR Support Requests forum, so that users are presented with the troubleshooter. 10. Well, let's take another look at the diagnostics now that you ran the game.

  12. Most likely a result of GTA IV modding. The best thing to do is play the game with only LCPDFR installed and no other mods.
  13. I don't think it's a error that it's looking there. Just make sure you have this installed: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 If you do, try uninstalling the x64 version and only leave the x86 version.
  14. Run the diagnostic after reinstalling them, and make sure you don't have copies of those files in the GTA IV directory.
  15. Download the manual installation and copy AdvancedHook.dll from it to your main GTA IV directory. The one that you have is outdated.

  17. You shouldn't have to check them, they will be there if you installed them. I think they should be in C:Windowssystem32 though.
  18. Try deleting AdvancedHookInit.asi from your main GTA IV directory. You won't be able to use the taser unless you >manually install it, but it might make the game work.
  19. It would probably be best to set it to "Turn DEP on for essential Windows programs and services only." I don't think it's really necessary to have it on for everything.
  20. Hm. Can you post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory?
  21. I think you need to follow this to stop DEP from closing the game: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/65790-dep-turn-off-programs.html A lot of virus protection software do not like LCPDFR and tend to cause issues. I don't think it matters where those .txt files are.
  22. Just follow the installation instructions. They will install where they need to go automatically.
  23. Install these: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679(choose x86) http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35
  24. Install this, choose x86: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 Delete the listed .dll files from the game folder. Install this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555 Delete the listed .dll file from the game folder.
