Direct3D device lost (Scripthook)

Featured Replies

So yeah, I'm having this issue right now, happening pretty randomly, and anywhere on the map. Before I had this when I was using DKT HD roads, removing them seemed to solve the issue, but it's happening again. Basically, when it occurs, in-game I have a minifreeze of half a second, then a light FPS drop, and massive texture loss, to the point everything becomes transparent besides cars and lamp posts and all that. Here is the log from Scripthook.

So I know what you're going to say, Direct3D device lost occurs when alt+tabbing. The thing is I never alt+tab when playing GTA, because I know it causes stability issues. So I'm a bit lost. Anyone has an idea?

Bump, I'd like some help.

To staff: if I bump this without editing, it's to put the topic back in the first slots for more visibility to try and get my issue solved. I don't know if you realize it, but it prevents me from playing LCPDFR completely, I believe this is a strong issue. If I wanted to add info I'd have edited my post, I know how forums work.

From the General Etiquette section of the Community Guidelines:

Topics may not be replied to where the sole purpose of the reply is to “bump” the thread to the top of the list. There is also a 30 day period where a thread may be replied to, after that period the thread is considered dead and should not be replied to (called necro-posting). Pinned threads are not included in those two restrictions. Topics can only be bumped or revived if a very important update must be provided. As for your issue, I believe "Direct3D device lost" will always show up at the end of the log. When you close the game, the "direct3D device" is lost. Do you have a commandline?

Sorry if I came out harsh, but I had issues in the past and never got any answer from anyone (and my thread fell down to the hells of this forum, forgotten by everyone), hence it started to get a bit on my nerves. It's also a bit annoying because after looking for days on the internet to see if anyone got a solution, I couldn't find any, and I believe it'd be good to investigate this for future users having a similar issue, just in case. Again, apologies if I sounded douchy.

The direct 3D device lost actually occurs in game, as I look exactly what time it is when I close the game and compare it when with the time indicated in the Scripthook log. I get texture loss, then wait a few minutes in-game before closing the game and check the logs. I do use a command line (and used very different lines to see if there would be any change) but it didn't seem to improve much.

Command lines I tried the most:

-nomemrestrict

-norestrictions
-availablevidmem 2.0

-shadowquality 3

-norestrictions

-nomemrestrict
-percentvidmem 100
-memrestrict 681574400
-memrestrict 629145600
-availablevidmem 12
-noprecache
-novblank

-framelimit 0

I keep trying on my end to check on what is running as scripts/cars/ENBs, but even by removing/changing some, it didn't seem to solve the issue. Could it be a problem of dedicated memory to the game? I noticed it happens randomly on the map, but also happens almost 100% of the time on a certain spot (when I take the bridge from Algonquin to Broker or the other way around, as if loading the island textures was failing).
