Same problem here. Alot of the derived CVPI models that feature tail lights seem to have them too bloomy - I have tried numerous ENBs as well as no ENB with the "Radiance Mod" and still, they are brighter than any of the other lights. Perhaps it is the size of the emissive texture that is dominating the bloom? (Like the headlamp flashers.)

You will probably get another year out of GTA IV - I don't see GTA V being released on PC any time soon.

They are probably using the noose model in the noose helipilot slot, and spawning AI likewise. Just replace the nhelipilot models in the componentpeds and pedprops with the swat ones, then use that model to play as from then on

I always tap the keys to control driving, I never go full blast on the gas, not even when responding (unless I am on the motorway or need to catch up speed). It feels a bit awkward at first, but you will get the hang of it, just like driving in real life. There are handling mods out there for modded vehicles that make them more realistic to drive (and IMO easier, they dont rocket back and forth and blast away giving you a minimum of 25 degrees turning each time you tap A or D etc.) Or buy an Xbox 360 controller.

I always liked the idea of police tape for investigations and scene clearance I agree, the peds are really annoying when they walk right into your investigation or when you are trying to heal someone and the road is blocked off.

I feel exactly like you with the London Met Police cars, there are alot of specific details missing. I had to create a pack and make skins just to make them playable for me. The same goes for when I play as NYPD. AFIAK you can have slower lightbar patterns by changing them (some stay on for longer etc). IIRC you can define how long you want the flash to last in the ELS.ini. Use a custom visualsettings.dat for making the lights brigter (or do it yourself and edit the line "car.defaultlight.emissive.on" - different ENBs have different threshold values).

Now you need a little rotating blue light on your desk when in police chases and your set to go ;) On a serious note, I saw a plugin for TS3 that played a radio beep every time you pressed the push-to-talk button - you could customize the sound it played too.

To all you British police LCPDFR'ers out there, I will be creating the Met police sirens for GTA IV - search no more! These will be the proper versions,with all the correct tones matching. I will also be making ones unique to the force and not used by any other, such as the ones found on the older vehicles (53, 06 reg etc.). All sirens should be optimized for GTA IV, and come with a working bullhorn (fully functional, like the vanilla one). Now your blue light runs and police chases should be alot more realistic and immersive! Here are the ones I have created so far (To see the videos, click on the content links): Stirling Your average Met police siren. Widely used on many units, and still used on some today like the Torneo and Transit vans, and many ARVs, as well as Robbery Squad. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Oldskool Style Classic. Fitted on the older vehicles used by STC, Torneo vans (like the one in the video) and also used by the famous Robbery Squad (known for dashing around in unmarked mondeos). I dont know the name of this siren. I think this is the first time this siren has been in a video game, its very rare to find... ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Premier Hazard Sort of a reincarnation of the older MetSound siren found in TV shows like The Bill. Found on the Ford Focus IRVs. Also used on the COLP response cars. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ New Fleet Style Fitted to the newer fleet (12 & 62 reg etc.). I dont know the name of this one yet. I think its a Whelen. Found on the Volvo V70s, Vivaro vans, Octavia ANPR, i30 IRVs, some Focus IRVs etc. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Redtronic Common Met Police siren fitted to most Ford Transit Station Vans & IRVs, many ARVs & Unmarked Vehicles and some Traffic Units. Typically heard on a late Friday night. Also used by the PSNI on their escort motorbikes. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ MetSound The most ICONIC British police siren ever, that was fitted to all of the Met Police fleet from 1984-2002! Also featured throughout the UK Police TV Series, The Bill, and the 20 minute Police Camera Action TV special "The Liver Run". ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Whelen-Woodway Alpha/Beta The most common siren in London and the UK! Also used by many American police departments and across the world. Used in some scenes of The Bill as well. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ BMW 5 E39 Classic Sirens Classic siren used on the BMW 5 E39 Area Cars that PC Stamp drove in The Bill! ________________________________________________________________________________________________ I will add more sirens to here once I have created them, for quick access.
