  1. Lately, I have been patrolling in these beasts... Inner/City ?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent> Outer/Suburban ?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>
  2. I'm sorry but I am not a modeler for GTA IV at the moment. I just create configs and skins at this stage.
  3. Cool, I will probably be getting it then. Thanks for the heads up.
  4. So it doubles as a pre-order for the full version as well?
  5. The police helper mod has some instructions for installing custom skins IIRC, that's how I found out how to.
  6. At the moment: 2. Metropolitan Police Service (London) 3. New York City Police Department 4. Los Angeles Police Department 5. Any other generic US City-Police Department (Metropolitan or City) My choices are based on equipment, tactics, situation and the environment/city they work in. Oh, but I think my favorite, number one, must be the: 1. Liberty City Police Department.
  7. It's happened to me once or twice on my traffic stops, and I don't use hardcode mode at all. I think hardcode mode is probably responsible for the probability of the uzi gun-outs increasing. And micro-uzis are a great weapon choice for people who want to gun-down cops, the rapid fire rate and small size makes it just right. However it would be more realistic of the probability of the micro-uzi being pulled out as opposed to a glock would be reduced.

  10. I can't believe the respect you have for your police officers in the US. Over here it's unheard of...
  11. Did the army guy actually physically provoke the officer off camera? Also, it sounded like the officer was trying to choke him at 1:02, though its not very clear because the camera is not directly on the hand...
  12. I recommend you go with using the GMC Savannah van in the Police Patriot slot then. AFAIK they are much more widely used in the NYPD than the Tahoes (which are only used in specialist roles IIRC). City police use vans alot, its usually always the same case in all big cities, in London the police use vans alot, they are sort of an extension of the normal response cars but carry extra officers, and can be seen on call all the time - because of the high population, there is a need for units with increased officer numbers patrolling in the same vehicle. I am guessing its the same case in NYC, as I have seen a fair amount of videos of them using it.
  13. Interesting to see your creating an NYPD clan, ironically these are few to come by. Anyway here is my setup that I found best use of while I was using NYPD (I matched them up to their original intended roles): Police Patrol: '06 Chevrolet Impala 9C1 (RMP) Police Cruiser: '04 Ford CVPI (RMP) Noose Patriot: '07 Chevrolet Tahoe (HWP/Borough TF/ESU) Noose Cruiser: '08 Dodge Charger (HWP) Noose Stockade: Lenco Bearcat (ESU) Police Stockade: '05 GMC Savanna Van (Borough TF) FIB Buffallo: '04 Ford CVPI (Detective/Unmarked RMP) (You might want to find another slot for the GMC Savanna though as the Police Stockade slot only lets 2 people fit in any car inside it, perhaps swap the Noose Cruiser and Police Stockade around in the vehicles.ide and get them to use their opposite handling etc.) That setup right there I found was a good balance between realism and functionality, you can find the car models all over the place, there are ELS and non-ELS versions of them out there too. IMO keep it NYPD/FDNY only as NYPD has multiple roles enough to satisfy your needs and NYSP would just mix it up a bit. (Although it would be good for Alderney.)

  15. The negative rep is more or less, useless. This is not a utopia society, and trolls could rapidly join the site, create multiple accounts and down-rate decent users. I would have to say I do not miss it now. Also, could the team provide modders with an anti-troll settings for modification download pages? I have witnessed some youtube trolls/modding competitors gain en masse and click on the download links to LCPDFR simply to give photos, profiles and downloads 1-star ratings. Perhaps a required reason for ratings < 4 would be better, just like the negative rep. At least now no one can be afraid to post what they think anymore.
  16. I had a go at converting these car sounds to those slots - you just need the latest version of IVAUD Editor and a basic audio editing programe like Sound Forge, to change the sample rate of some of the .WAV files. Then you rename them and import them into your desired IVAUDs. I found a guy out who wanted to do something similar to what you want to do - but for CVPI sounds. Here is the thread: Read the OP's posts too, he notes what tools he is using. TBH I tried it, but I didn't use them for long as the pitch rates are way off for those specific slots. (The RPM in those slots makes the car sound a bit weird - like a 70s space-cartoon.) I would like to use some decent Diesel sounds in those slots too...

  19. Remove the "#myfiles" from the link then... Thanks for releasing your mesh, I'm sure someone in the community will put it to good use.
