  1. This is very nice finally a proper replacement for the lawyers office well done. And BOTH would be nice! (the PDs that you are going to make next). Then we can have a choice on which one to be in etc.

  3. I thought that Rockstar hardwired GTA IV so that you could only use the Xbox 360 controller
  4. Hold on, you can use steering wheel controllers for GTA?
  5. How do you go about getting the structure so correct? Some of my models have bumps and such in them, that interfere with the lighting and produce undesirable effects when using smoothing groups. Would it be something to do with the normals or perhaps I need to add some more edges?
  6. New video uploaded showing the units and their specific descriptions link:
  7. Hell yeah! I'm sick of seeing modders having to use high poly vehicles because it's their only option, I understand how frustrating it can be for them, hopefully we can get better performance using these type of addons now!
  8. I second that, its very annoying seeing constipated traffic when you are in the middle of a scene cleanup. Also some escort missions would be nice, like the ones in the Police Pursit Mod - you know, prisoner transport, VIP escort and such. And some very rare chance of happening - a bank heist, with robbers with balaclavas that spawn near the bank and have a defensive behaviour and a getaway car. Also some house burglary and shop break-ins would be nice. Keep some very special treats in there, like some irregular calls, high-intesity events or something plain funny (but not stale) and make it have a LOW possibility of happening, but not impossible, so the game doesn't get boring so quickly.
  9. I prefer Met police cars over american ones any day! It's a matter of taste.
  10. Is it possible that there can be a small percent chance that civillians can pull out a pistol on you when you are performing a traffic stop? A very low chance, but still a possible one, and a method of improvise that will give the cops an action to prevent being shot or such, because it would be no fun being killed all the time and not being able to do anything about it - maybe just a maim shot.
  11. Modification is RELEASED - for those not in the know or the pedestrian subsection in the downloads section.

*LICENSE AND INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED IN THE PACK PLEASE READ FIRST THANK YOU* http://youtu.be/2--Fen0sYy0 Description: Included in this pack is the pedestrian addon portraying officers of the London Metropolitan Police Service. There is a diverse range of units, like the general patrol, or "bobbies" as you might call them, both fat and thin, PCSOs, CO19 SFOs, TSG Units, and CID Investigators complete with the Metropolitan Police warrant cards. Officers feature the "Newham" force code "KF" with appropriate number marking. PCSO collar numbers start with a 7 like they do in reality. Most units have their approrpriate headgear as well and also feature the new nametag and force identifier system as pinned to their chest pocket as introduced into the force recently. All textures have appropriate normal and specular mapping (if you don't know what that means it is to stop those ugly badges from the US cops appearing over the arms even when you textured them and to make reflective equipment more shiny etc.). Finally a HQ British Police Texture pack for GTA IV!
  12. A few weeks ago I was working on some Metropolitan Police officers for GTA IV. These do not contain mixed meshes, although some slots are substituted for other models to get more functionality. All insignia and uniform layout has been matched to its closest alternative in reality. There are some limitations - the GTA IV pedestrian models are originally designed for NYPD style cops, so expect some alteration here and there (some models couldn't feature epaulette or special markings as their UV mapping was rather awkward). Officers have the "Newham" force code "KF" with appropriate number marking. PCSOs callsigns start with a 7 as they do in reality. Most units have their appropriate headgear as well and have the new nametag and force identifier system pinned to their chest pocket as introduced into the force recently (some units like the TSG have the nametag covered to withold their identity - I guess we all know what is going on there...). My pack features officers from numerous divisions - general patrol, community support, CO19, TSG and CID. All textures have appropriate normal and specular mapping (if you don't know what that means it is to stop those ugly badges from the US cops appearing over the arms even when you textured them and make reflective equipment more shiny etc.). I have provided links to help keep the forums tidy (pictures are not as high-res as ingame): PCSO with stab vest front PCSO with stab vest rear PCSO with jacket PCSO with fluorescent jacket front PCSO with fluorescent jacket rear PCSO with shirt Police Constable (thin) with stab vest front Police Constable (thin) with stab vest front 2 Police Constable (thin) with stab vest rear Police Constable (thin) with fluorescent jacket rear Police Constable (thin) with fluorescent jacket front Police Constable (thin) with gore-tex jacket front Police Constable (thin) with shirt front Police Constable (fat) with jacket rear Police Constable (fat) with coat front Police Constable (fat) with coat rear Police Constable (fat) with stab vest front Police Constable (fat) with stab vest rear Police Constable (fat) with fluorescent jacket front Police Constable (fat) with fluorescent jacket rear TSG with jacket rear TSG with stab vest front TSG with stab vest rear CO19 SFO front CO19 SFO rear Traffic Police Constable with fluorescent jacket hood front Traffic Police Constable with fluorescent jacket hood rear Traffic Police Constable with fluorescent jacket stab vest front Traffic Police Constable with fluorescent jacket stab vest rear CID Officer with Warrant Card The textures were originally created for the GTA IV Met Police clan before it disintegrated. It was just catching dust so I thought I would release these anyway, for people looking for this sort of addon. This is my first addon for GTA IV, but not my first addon for games (I have worked with addons for Arma 2 numerous times). You will need a modified "pedvariations.dat" for the PCSOs to work, which will be included in the download archive with instructions on how to install for those not in the know. All positive feedback appreciated, and please, no comments like "I don't like UK cops" - this post is about the discussion of the MOD, not the subject it depicts. I will release it here when I have some more time.

  15. This happened for me on the latest GTA patch - 1.0.7.0. It was a bloody nuciance and took me 2 days to find out what it was! Its probably a corrupt file - they tend to happen when a corrupt file is inserted into an .img. This would have been a decent mod if it wasn't for that problem.
  16. Thank you. I was looking for an ELS NON-CTB marked Impala for ages.
  17. Hi, the zip file is corrupt, I cannot use it - is that deliberate because it is unsupported? Why do you want its removal?
  18. @Jorge it's people like you that help make LCPDFR experience more fun and entertaining every day. I really like these scripts, it's the small stuff that matters (like this spotlight, tasers, batons etc.). I am looking forward to your release.
