  1. okay i am talking out of my behind, but do you actually have els vehicles in your other police slots? maybe turning it on for those slots, but still having the default or non-els cars is causing it to go funky. edit: -i am playing it safe and just enabling for the slots i know i have els/modded vehicles. Maybe it is the solution or just coincidence. Give it a try!
  2. i was definately overwhelmed when i started looking at it and the config files. Tough it out, it is definately worth it. Tinkering around with it for 25-30minutes and i think i have figured out most of the things i wanted. I am grateful to Lt. Caine and all those supported and helped. They are doing this out of their own time and ELS 7 now has so many more options and configurability settings. You are getting more than before, what's there to hate..
  3. words say dont know to what... yippee.
  4. For the cars, if you are replacing the usual police slots like Police, Police2, FBI, Noose, etc.., you should be okay with the car/model downloads from LCPDFR. I find the models are well tested here and the authors won't put up a lemon for you to download. It is a bit of trial and error if you are replacing civilian cars because you wont find them here and it will depend on whatever quality control standards those other sites have on uploading. Adding a lot of cars into the game can cause issues because GTA IV isn't well optimized. ( NOTE ** this may be different for every person, i will edit in my pc specs later today.) i can replace about 6-8 vehicles and have my vehicle.img file at around 135MB. Still runs pretty good like it was unmodded. No texture loss issues at all when playing. Going over that 135MB will cause severe performance drops moreso than extra few cars for me. **1680 x 1050 Med-High New Specs: Intel Core i5 3570 / GTX 660 / 8GB Ram / Win 7 Old Specs: Intel Core i5 750 / GTX 275 / 4GB Ram / Win 7 ELS V6, amazing mod for the lighting. Turn this off for the AI if you have single player issues with crashing. It rarely crashes me directly, but yea i notice a few odd times as soon as i hit J for my lights i insta crash. I dont recall it happening since i have been running with my newer PC. Maybe related to the PC/Video Card performance once again. Take it for whatever you will. And if it is multiplayer, you have your friends to play with. Just turn the AI cops off so they dont do anything stupid and random to mess things. LCPDFR is just an amazing mod, have fun with it!
  5. alright i bid 300!! :D but seriously i would take 3 just to have a more stable ELS and from what some of the testers have posted, they have seen no crashes. So it is like a sundae with 90 cherries on top which is a sweet thing.
  6. Was quite a shock when i heard about another officer shot. I hope the transit officer has a speedy recovery.
  7. It is buried a bit far back. But i learned a thing or two from this post which is one of the best topics here. Even suggestions and examples of fonts.
  8. Thanks for the interest and your enthusiasm.

FICTIONAL Vancouver Police and Liberty City car textures My original textures partly based off of the Vancouver Police Deptmartment CVPI Livery. I have included alternate Liberty City versions of the textures. The Slicktop texture has a unique unit number for each police_sign PNG. Designed for use on these vehicles: -The Slicktop texture is made for - Bxbugs123 CVPI model. (i designed it with a slicktop in mind. Should look as good with a lightbar model) -The Interceptor & Highway Patrol is made for - 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor "RCMP" by EVI - on the LCPDFR.com site. Please do not re-upload without permission. I will be uploading only to LCPDFR.com You may edit the textures for personal use, but not to publish online without my consent.
  10. Never freakin realized that. That is why i am so confused why i try to switch modes..
  11. thanks for the comment. It is simply a pretend rear spoiler shape to make it look a bit sporty. :) I hope to be done with it Mon or Tue.
  12. haha. yep the liberty city versions are the 5% left. Took some new pictures now and i'll attach them here. I'll just note that the slicktop (you dont have to use slicktop of course) I designed the LC one with a minimalist view. So a middle ground between an unmarked cvpi and highly visible marked vehicle. I really like the streamline of the paintjob with the Liberty City Police text alongside the bottom part of the doors. The font looks "okay", so i am up for changing the font if it helps a lot. And the LCPD badges did not turn out how i expected so i will be fixing/moving them around.
  13. I have put together 2 designs for a fictional livery of the Vancouver Police Department. I thought it would be neat and took a crack at it. One livery is to pay homage to the designs currently used. And one other is simply to look sleek and fast. IT IS NOW RELEASED. Just go to the Download page. I will have a texture pack ready hopefully in a week. Basically it is the Liberty City versions i need to clean up a bit. I thought i was done but then looked over my preview video and saw about 6-7 things that needed tweaking/fixes. -The few odd things i noticed were some of the decal/badge placements can be improved upon. -Found misaligned areas on the paint, which is strange cause the original was fine. -Liberty City badge looked too stretched in certain areas. -license plates are miserable looking Let me know what you think. The issues are all on the Liberty City textures. (I am very happy with the VPD ones and no changes are planned. They are Done!) My gallery is basically earlier in the process. Feel free to check it out. The preview video will show you the meat and bones of the pack. http://www.lcpdfr.com/gallery/member/56944-kyneizero/ ** i am new to this video commentary thing and made my 2nd topic about the work i put in to making the textures. If you have the time and patience or really bored, check it out on my youtube channel running at 28 minutes. Cheers, KyneiZero
