  1. Congratulations buddy, good to see your hard work is being recognised. Keep it up :)
  2. For my GTA IV, this. My EFLC is only 38. This however doesn't include the amount of time I spent playing it on xbox 360 before my xbox....died.
  3. Perhaps you had a change to steam which meant steam updated it's stuff for GTA? Or your cache changed somehow. Knowing steam it could be whole host of reasons why it updated. But it is extremely unlikely that GTA IV got itself an actual upgrade/patch so. PS. The only thing I see in my steam updates is Dota 2 asking me to update it for the 400 billionth time within 3 seconds. (I never update Dota 2. Takes the piss how it has an update every day lol, I never play it either)
  4. Apology accepted, I appreciate all feedback, but yes. I am well aware of the current issues :) I should really get a bug tracker somewhere lol
  5. If you had of gone back 1 page you will have seen this message:

What I use: 1- Default. I value gameplay over shiny cars :) 2- Again, default. Although >CryENB is nice, and >RTC by Kanyo is very good. 3- >Callouts+......kind of obvious really. 4- No ELS. :) Man, I wonder what ineseri might say ;)
  7. You should check the Devblog more http://devblog.lcpdfr.com/ To quote it
  8. I'm keeping off the large scale events for the current time, and working on more realism and features. Generally speaking you don't get a callout to a bomb threat every couple of minutes if you're a real cop. You get callouts to thieves, dangerous driving, attacks on pedestrians, stolen vehicles, people behaving badly, criminal damage etc etc. So...you want a guy with a gun going ape sh** in a hospital/enterable building? As said in my above comment in this post, I'm keeping away from large scale events for the time being. But your request is noted.
  9. As SuperStumpje says, the VDH mods will no longer receive any updates.... He lost his job quite some time ago, and has now left the modding scene for good as far as we know. It's a shame, he was a fantastic mod author, but you have to put your life before your hobbies.
  10. Nice idea but actually has been suggested a few times before. The development team tried to add such a feature and it didn't work very well, was buggy and the animations were quite bad. They since strived to not incorporate the feature because it didn't really work. There is only so much you can do with the GTA IV animations. EDIT: I found the previous topic on this. This was Sam's reply.
  11. Firstly, I do really really like this idea. Not all suspects want to give up and need to be forced down to the ground (in this case shot with a taser) and cuffed while being pinned down. So I do think this is a fantastic idea. I also like the idea of cuffing someone against the hood of a car, and I can see that one working quite well, I mean there is already an animation for that. But as a programmer I'm going to pull it apart anyway. There is no animation for cuffing someone who is on the ground, so what would the cop's animation be? There is no animation for being cuffed while on the ground, although I guess you could play the current one only in the upper body. Might look derpy though. How are you going to pick the suspect up without them pinging up to you from the ground? The issue for code is that you would need a check to ensure the pedestrian is on the ground to run that arrest code, otherwise it would play the standard arrest animation while the guy is lay on the floor. (woo for arresting thin air!) I'm not sure there is a way to check if a pedestrian is on the ground, you can check if they're in ragdoll mode (falling over like they do when being tasered) but that doesn't eliminate the possibility of them never falling over fully. So would be pretty buggy I think.
  12. Rockstar will never add children to their Grand Theft Auto titles. The reason is as has been said, the context of the game itself. Official licensing companies would most definitely kick up a huge fuss about such a feature. I disagree with adding a mod that would make such a feature too. Just my opinion though.
  13. In case you hadn't noticed, ineseri does some beta testing for me and get's to know what I'm up to usually. Including crashes, bugs I have etc. He's usually been at the end of the odd rant when something just refuses to work for me. While I do massively appreciate all kinds of feedback, ineseri's answer here for the time being is actually correct. I'm working on less callouts and more special features, extra's and so on. It's all well and good having hundreds of different callouts, but there is only so many that can be done before either two plugins collide with each other (I made that first, no you didn't I did etc) or before LCPDFR inherits an idea and makes it better. So I am adding different things, not just callouts, to keep this plugin alive and fun to use, and to give the player a wider variety of things to do when patrolling the mean streets of LC. Please by the way, don't think I'm being mean or having a go at you. I'm not, I'm just merely providing extra information on top of what ineseri has said. Hopefully it will provide some context to you all as to where this plugin is currently going :) Oh, and as for you reverting to 0.2a. That's absolutely fine, most people have. Once LCPDFR 1.0c is out I will be able to utilize it in the hope the plugin problems have been fixed :)
  14. Cheers :)
  15. Will previous teamspeak users have to generate a new key or has that carried across?
  16. Would you care to explain yourself a little bit more for the benefit of the community? It would be nice to know your personal experience of how well such a feature works, and what you use to make such a feature work. Custom software or windows default? Do you have any recommendations etc? It's a nice feature and a good idea, but for the community's sake tell us more about it :)
  17. With version 1.0b. Load up the diagnostics tool (GTAIV > LCPDFR > Diagnostic Tool) and click on the option "configure LCPDFR". You will see a checkbox on the left side somewhere to disable the action camera. If it crashes the tool, check the advanced mode box in the bottom left corner, you will then have to find your LCPDFR.ini file.
  18. So today I found an interesting little map plot of people answering the topic's question. What kind of web do you want? Well it seems the world's top issue is privacy. This image is taken directly from Mozilla Firefox's project which you can find here: webwewant.mozilla.org. (I have put the image in a spoiler due to it being full screen size) If you go the above website, you can click the icons in the bottom left ("view by:") to see the percentages of what people answered. The number is also always increasing every few seconds. With this in mind, I want to see what other people think about the way the internet is going. Are governments taking the right path, are the ISP's doing the right thing too? Do we actually know what the implications are? And most importantly, what is your answer to the following question? (image in spoiler) Disclaimer: I want this debate to be kept sensible, stupid comments are not wanted. Valid comments, discusions and opinions are welcome providing if it is an opinion, you respect other people's opinions too. Don't argue over people's opinions. If you have something that can be added to this debate, and have evidence to show, please feel free to add your evidence here for others to read. Thanks :)
  19. As far as I know the only flashlight mods which exist are the weapon ones. Generally speaking a flashlight requires aiming so would have to be treated like a weapon of some sort (thus the weapons ones). LCPDFR used to have a flashlight with it, but this merely produced a circular light around the player and didn't look very good. I think that has been removed now. In terms of making one you would need to attach it to the aiming process for it to work really, which I suppose you could do something similar to how LCPDFR has a taser, but the issue there is you will still get peds running and screaming because you've still (according to the game) pulled out a weapon and pointed it at them. I'd be interested to see where this goes though.
  20. -Snip- Off topic segment removed in order for thread to remain on topic,-Staff. At the OP: In addition to the prison break mod that crossfire mentioned there is this one as well http://gtaforums.com/topic/465024-gtaivrelprison-mod/ Although it's pretty much the same thing I believe but with some slight changes. My advice would be perhaps to use one of these mods and just roleplay. Generally speaking not many people want to spend time in a prison, I think most people here would prefer to patrol liberty city. ;)
  21. Yes, yes I do. So does my paramedic, and all of my callouts which spawn vehicles. Because I have witnessed them spawn in the water or on a house several times when not using that method. I had it spawn on top of a petrol station once when I wasn't using that method.
  22. No there is not. Because to GTA IV a back alley is a perfectly legitimate street to spawn on. I will add a dismissal system in place for the next release. But that will be after LCPDFR 1.0c now.
  23. Welcome to England, where we throw all of our normalities out the window for the minorities that (well within their rights I should add) move over to here. I actually disagree that subway should be doing this, you can't replace something to suit the minority. In addition to, great, but replace? No. I'm happy for multi-culturalism. But the way it is acted upon in this country is just, well it's stupid. That's just my opinion though.
  24. I'm glad you like it, yes pursuits are an issue at the moment, as I stated in my last comment above it's not an issue with my plugin directly. As for the gang shootout I don't really need to implement it, LCPDFR already has a gang shootout scenario in which the mafia is shooting against the biker gang (I think). Additionally GTA IV has some dynamics to it which feed through into LCPDFR in which if you fire a gun and there is a gang member nearby they will begin to target the player. So by matter of technicality gang shootouts are already possible. I'm working on other stuff though, to better suit the needs of a beat cop/patrolling traffic cop.
