I heard about these in september when they were first discovered. Nasty little buggers. My advice to all those who are worried by this, is to stay vigilant. The majority of viruses infect your computer through your own stupidity. Take your time to read what you are downloading, ensure you know what is going on your computer. If you are suspicious at all about a website, get off it. The emails you get, if they give you links, mouseover it and see where it really links to, don't click it. View the email source and see where the email really came from. Again, if you are not sure, if it doesn't seem right. Get rid of it. If you are the type of person to download something and then spam the "next" button on the installer, you will probably end up missing things like "Install this third party software as well?" Read, be aware. And as has been said by the OP. Ensure you've got the latest anti-virus and anti-malware software. Ensure they are as up to date as they can be.- Random Crashes
The mini-dump file is made by advanced hook, it can be opened with visual studio to debug the faulting module and see what caused the crash. If it is not LCPDFR causing the crash it is definitely one of your other mods. Did you install them one by one and see?- How does the built in ANPR work?
You'll need to consult the mod author about that, I use only my own script due to having to run tests.- How does the built in ANPR work?
As you drive around it will scan vehicles automatically. If it detects a vehicle for something it will beep, display red text at the bottom of the screen saying "detected vehicle(hit and run)" for example, and the car will have a red blip above it. But if the vehicle get's too far away it will lose it's blip unless you catch up.- [API][WIP/REL] Callouts+ - Additional LCPDFR API Callouts
- LCPDFR crash (by the looks, related to ambient scenarios) - GTA IV doesn't crash, only the mod
I'll have to do more testing to see if I can pinpoint the issue and find a temporary fix for it. Although this is probably one for the developers to look into. I'll keep you posted as and when I find something.- LCPDFR crash (by the looks, related to ambient scenarios) - GTA IV doesn't crash, only the mod
Which is why I said "or wait for a solution" because posting "I have the same issue" is not contributing very much. I'm sure many other people are also having a similar issue but they're waiting to see what solutions are proposed to try and fix it. That was more my point really :) Let me know how that works for you.- LCPDFR Not Installing
The automatic installer doesn't detect the default GTA IV directory properly (it prefers EFLC) so when you try to set it to a new location (like GTA IV) it randomly adds the LCPD First Response folder to the install path. Next time you want to do an install of LCPDFR, when you select the game path, before clicking next go to the very end of the game path and remove the "LCPD First Response" part and it should work fine then. Glad I could help, enjoy. :)- LCPDFR crash (by the looks, related to ambient scenarios) - GTA IV doesn't crash, only the mod
AdvancedHook.log: AdvancedHookInit.log Basically, what happens is that I get a message in the corner of my screen that LCPDFR has crashed, and that I should restart my game to avoid unexpected behavior. I can continue playing GTA IV just fine, but many elements of LCPDFR is just plain broken. Radio messages (top right corner) never fades away, my wanted level rises like vanilla GTA etc. etc. List of modifications: LCPDFR Loader.net.dll LessOvertake.net.dll vdH_PoliceHelper.net.dll All vehicles are vanilla, so is all weaponry, uniforms etc. I've quoted you all so you all get notified, but for future reference it would be much more helpful for me if you waited for a solution or made your own threads. it makes it a lot easier for me to reply to people individually and keep track of who has what issue you see :) It also means I don't have to quote 3+ people each time I reply lol. Anyway, the issue is that the object (whatever it may be, car or ped etc) being used in the ambient scenario is suddenly no longer available to the script (it may have been deleted or unloaded for example) as a result that particular instance is crashing. The game as you have noticed doesn't crash, only that small portion of the entire script crashes. However this causes other sections to fault which is why you have the problem with becoming wanted etc. You can try adding "PreloadAllModels=True" to the config file to see if it works, however I'm not sure on a definite fix for this issue right now as I haven't tested it enough :)- 1.0c Bug?
Do you have any other scripts which might be conflicting with the content manager? This includes plugins for LCPDFR. You do get the warning message that the ped already belongs to a non-default content manager (a script of some variety) which means that when LCPDFR is trying to add the ped to the LCPDFR script it is failing to do so as it already has an owner. If it only happened twice out of the many times you've run the game I would probably just ignore it for the time being. It might be just a local issue. Either way thanks for reporting it :)- LCPDFR Not Installing
You've installed the mod wrong. Everything inside the folder called "LCPD First Response" needs to be taken out of that folder and placed in the root of your GTA IV directory. Eg. GTA IV > files here and not GTA IV > LCPD First Response > files here The LCPD First Response Folder can then be deleted.- Random Crashes, No Additional Mods/Addons (q.5-15 minutes)
You didn't post your advancedhook which is why I said make sure it is the most recent version. You reported crashes but i the logs you posted there is absolutely no indication that a script is causing your game to crash so a reinstall is probably your best bet. But this is the reason why I suggested uninstalling LCPDFR and ensuring you only installed 1.0c.- I Broke: Watch Dogs
That was incredibly funny. :)- Checkpoint issue causing Crash(Ctrl+B) (Any devs help? Logs attached)
Which AdvancedHook are you using? You must be certain that you used the most recent AdvancedHook packaged with the latest LCPDFR (1.0c) and NOT the one packaged with ELS v8. You've also got this error in your scripthook. [iNFO] (ELS) Warning - VehStructInstance false: Veh. 7305, Mdl. 'POLICE2'. Which suggests something is going wrong with the police2 slot and ELS if having some difficulty. An SMPA60 error is more than likely being caused by a vehicle model, probably the same one mentioned above. My advice would be to remove it and try again. If it still crashes, remove the other car models and ELS v8 and try again.- Random Crashes, No Additional Mods/Addons (q.5-15 minutes)
Hi, thanks for the in depth report. When you installed 1.0c what process did you go through? As far as I know you need to remove any previous version of LCPDFR and then install 1.0c. Also be sure that you are using the AdvancedHook that came with the latest version and NOT an older version. The new AdvancedHook is updated and is better.- Proof of LCPDFR AI Traffic Stops
Here's a few more images of them taking place just because. Proof.- What Gear do you use?
Mouse: Cyborg RAT 5 with the GLIDE 7 mouse mat. Keyboard: Razer Deathstalker Audio: 5:1 Phillips speakers with sub-woofer or I use either my Skullcandy headset for late night youtube videos or for gaming my Turtle Beach P11 headset.- [API][WIP/REL] Callouts+ - Additional LCPDFR API Callouts
Hi all. With the release of lcpdfr 1.0c I am pleased to inform you that callouts plus 0.3.1a and all previous versions should now work fine and not cause lcpdfr to crash anywhere near as much. I am now in the process of bug fixes and ensuring 0.4 is stable before I begin adding more callouts and features. 0.4 is already under thorough development, having tweaked features and removed some bugs already. Once the plugin is entirely stable and working fine I will begin to draft in some new callouts for you all to enjoy. I will also be rewriting the op of this thread a little bit more to include known bugs and some other important details. This will not only help me keep track of what needs fixing but also help you guys to see what has already been reported. 0.4 is not far away from an initial release I feel. But only time will tell when it is due. Stay tuned!- website logo

Think you might be hallucinating. Possible from a lack of caffeine intake. Solution, drink more coffee. It will clear up in a few days then. Hope this helps :)- Battlefield 3 Available Free on Origin
I don't disagree that EA is the worst company in gaming. Let's be clear on that much. What I disagree with is your unfair comments to how Origin is intrusive and buggy. Origin is the only game client I have which logs in immediately when I tell it to, it stays logged in, and it sits in the background happy until I need it. When I ask it to launch Battlefield 4 or SimCity it launches it. My steam client on the other hand takes 20 minutes to get it's shit together, it displays a dialog box on start up saying it has to extract the latest software update for steam, every time. There is no software update. It persistently fails to keep me logged in, and lately it has actually been crashing the process. To say that Origin is intrusive and steam isn't is also a false claim. I've had to give steam my email address hundreds of times just for it to verify the same web browser as a new computer. Steam also cannot seem to retain my card details despite multiple purchases and ticking the box which says "save these details" or "remember my paying preference" or whatever the hell it's called. My point being, all clients have issues. And it is wholly unfair to pick out Origin as the worst just because EA owns it. EA owns DICE titles like Battlefield 2, 3 and 4. But they're good games. EA owns the sims, which I also happen to love. Oh and saying steam doesn't do free releases or "stuff like that" is also false. Steam frequently has free weekends to draw in people, it has team fortress 2 (a once pay for game now free to play with micro transactions) it also permanently appears to have a special deal sale on. Origin has it's "on the house" feature. My point here, is that like origin, steam is just another client which aims at taking your money and doing nothing else. Sorry for calling you out, I have no intentions to cause an argument. It just annoys me when people say things like "X is so much better than Y and X never does anything bad". Cause at the end of the day they are both company ran clients, they don't give an ass about me or you, only the income. As for Battlefield 3, I loved that game a lot. I switched to pc FPS gaming when I got 3 for PC and will probably never go back to console. You can't get 64 slot servers with so much going on on a console like you can PC. So much fun, well worth getting if it's free :)- Is the Steam version stable?
People complain out of stupidity mostly. The steam version is perfectly stable, I've been using it for years. I even test code using the steam version, When I say perfectly stable, I mean it is as stable as any other copy of the game. It's still prone to the typical GTA IV crashes. Steam version also allows you to simply delete everything and re-download, or verify the files if you replaced any.- Watch_Dogs [Screenshots]
This is the best I can do screenshot wise. Note: it's the player icon and not the position of the mouse cursor It's in The Wards, behind Rossi...whatever that place is. Big run down place where Iraq lives. If you go around the back of there a block or 2 behind you'll find the police station. It's opposite a ctOS tower (not marked as I've cleared it already) you'll find a couple of police vehicles in the parking lot around the back.
