  1. Ok, just to be sure, try switching your ASI loader, (dsound to xlive, or xlive to dsound depending). And see if that makes any difference on performance. It is strange that you are still getting this problem.
  2. That's about the normal play time for 1.0b. The 1.0 release of LCPDFR was much more resource demanding than 0.95 due to all the changes made, as a result it may appear to not run as well as the older version, but in fact it's running more stuff than the old version and so, technically handles better :P You can try that and see what difference it makes, as a suggestion as well it might be advisable to close any other applications while running GTA IV with LCPDFR just to boost the available system resources.
  3. Possibly. Possibly not. Who knows. Like I said, I am looking at other possibilities ;)
  4. To my knowledge making vehicle deformation via a script isn't possible. (but if anyone knows a way feel free to comment) As has been mentioned WoutersCallouts does include a collision with a pedestrian, and Braveheart's callouts has a traffic collision as well which spawns two vehicles next to each other, smoking and inoperable (read above comment by DrDetroit) I am looking into other possibilities.
  5. Hi, My advice to you is to delete everything, wipe out your GTA IV directory then reinstall GTA IV. Then when that is done make a clean backup of GTA IV so you don't have to reinstall every time. When you have done that install LCPDFR 1.0b, the latest version. 0.95 is outdated and no longer supported. Load up the game after installing and see if it works fine.
  6. I'm just gonna throw this out there and let you all do with it what you will.... GTA Vice City 2002 - Playstation 2 release 2003 - PC release 2008 - steam release GTA San Andreas: 2004 - Playstation 2 release 2005 - Windows PC Release 2012 - Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 re-release GTA IV April 2008 - Released for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 December 2008 - PC release GTA V September 2013 - Release for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 November 2013 - Xbox One released (no port) and Playstation 4 released (no port) See how there is absolutely no correlation in how Rockstar does it's releases? See how they also don't make any sense with console releases? Can you now see how no matter how many threads you guys make, Rockstar doesn't care, they will make what they want to make. They will do what they want to do. Yes, like you lot I want a PC release, but unlike you lot. I'm just carrying on with my day to day life. Regardless of GTA V. Again, just throwing it out there.....do with it what you will...
  7. Yeah normally LCPDFR crashes are all logged. So that suggests the issue isn't LCPDFR itself. Let me know what happens when you have removed all of your mods.
  8. That is the way I would do it to, even though it's a 20 minute download from steam for me, easier to just extract it all from a zip. Ok so, try removing all your other mods and just run LCPDFR and see if it still crashes as frequently. LCPDFR only really supports an unmodded copy of GTA IV, so while it may well run with other mods, it will decrease the stability quite a lot. Especially things like trafficflow and overtakingfix.
  9. Hi, Ok can you upload a screenshot of your GTA IV directory for me please, also are you running GTA IV on the latest patch (in this case for EFLC it's 1.1.2.0 I believe) When you installed LCPDFR did you install just 1.0b or did you install 1.0 and then 1.0a and then 1.0b? 1.0b is an all included pack, it has all of the latest patches in it so you only need 1.0b.
  10. Hi, Ok a few questions I need answering please. Are you using a legitimate copy of GTA IV on the latest patch? Which version of LCPDFR are you using? And do you have any other mods installed? Can you also please upload a screenshot of your GTA IV directory for me.
  11. Oh don't you worry, the murder callout is getting a very big overhaul soon ;)
  12. I'm actually thinking of adding a similar feature to Callouts+ at some point.
  13. I don't think you looked hard enough http://www.thegtaplace.com/downloads/c46-gta-san-andreas-trainers Google is your friend. (I literally googled "GTA SA trainers")
  14. Hi, Thanks for reporting these crashes. A few of them can be fixed by setting "PreloadAllModels = True" underneath [Main] in the LCPDFR.ini file. If you already have that enabled, try disabling it and see if that makes a difference. Some of the crashes you detailed to my knowledge are being worked on, so should be fixed already. If you are running LCPDFR with other mods you will likely experience more crashes and errors, LCPDFR only supports an unmodded copy of GTA IV so while it may run with other mods installed, it will be more unstable. Please bare that in mind.
  15. It is very odd. I know it's a total pain, but let's just see. Uninstall LCPDFR, and then unistall GTA IV again. Be sure to completely wipe the directory of all files after uninstall. Reinstall GTA IV clean and make a clean backup. Then go ahead and install LCPDFR 1.0b, and try again. Let me know if it still crashes randomly for you.
  16. Again the logging in thing doesn't affect the mod other than for crime stats recording (which has been disabled for a while) and for using your name in the game. When you load GTA IV, you press ALT + P to initiate the mod. Then you go to a police station and walk into the end office, into the marker and become a cop. Alternatively yes you can just type 'forceduty'. I do that cause I'm lazy and have to utilize my time testing things rather than driving to a police station :P
  17. Have you read this at all? '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> I cover that very error in the first chapter.
  18. This is very strange, there is no LCPDFR error so I don't think it is LCPDFR causing the problem. Do you have any other mods installed at all?
  19. This is just attempting to log in using your forum log in. If you run the new diagnostics tool, you will see an account tab. Log in with that and it will re-link your forum account to your LCPDFR settings so you can use your forum username in the game.
  20. Ok well that was an issue common with the 0.1 release and they patched it in 0.1a if I remember correctly. When you installed LCPDFR 1.0b were you absolutely certain you removed all other versions of LCPDFR entirely, and only installed version 1.0b? 1.0b is an entirely separate versions and all the hotfixes and patches are included within the mod. So you only need 1.0b. Also can you now reupload your LCPDFR.log file now that you have ran it on TBoGT please.
  21. Try setting "PreloadAllModels = True" underneath [Main] in the LCPDFR.ini file. This will force the ped models to load in when the callout is generated rather than when you get closer. It MAY result in them being more spread out when you arrive on scene then. (I cannot guarantee that this will work)
  22. If you are only just starting up you can use Google Sites (free to use) for advertising. But this will not get you a free server so to run Teamspeak etc. You need a google account to use that though obviously. You will also be limited to your clan's domain name being https://sites.google.com/site/CLAN_NAME_HERE/ <-- not a real link Generally speaking if you plan to keep your clan going though it is best to buy a domain (and hosting) and get a proper website up and running. Damn that sucks (the stealing part). I personally have nothing against free sites like that putting adverts on so long as they are not impulsive and too frequently placed so that they blot out your site. After all you are getting a free website, that costs someone money.
  23. Hi, That is certainly a very peculiar issue you have. At a guess I would say you might have a loose fan, or the airflow is being restricted somewhere. You may even have a small crack/hole somewhere which is letting air through. Buzzing noises could be a loose bearing in one of the fans, or it could even be a fault with the HDD (although less likely) If the sound gets louder when you increase the load on the machine (such as running GTA IV) then it is most definitely due to a defective fan somewhere, system fans (the ones plugged into your motherboard directly, like the CPU fan) or the graphics card fans, will increase speed dynamically depending on how much stress they are under. My advice is to check that none of the fans have too much play in them (they can be wobbled, pushed or don't rotate smoothly). Or to replace them. Try giving your pc a good cleanout, switch it off and hoover out any dust (especially around the fans). And see if that helps. Generally speaking it wont cause your pc any harm, at most if the CPU fan fails, your system will automatically shut itself down to prevent it overheating.
  24. Hi, Thanks for being detailed with your report, it's nice to be given useful information :) Ok so try playing LCPDFR in The Ballad of Gay Tony rather than in TLAD and see if that makes any difference (I doubt it but let's cover all grounds)
  25. Hi guys, I ran some tests on various pages from the LCPDFR forums; these included forum threads, profiles and downloads. The test I ran only pulled emails from the download pages for mods. And even then only pulled 1 person's email address (the mod author, if they had the donate function on) In short, LCPDFR has your email addresses covered pretty damn well. Other forums or websites may not be as protected or safe, and running a simple script can have someone pull lots of email addresses quickly. My advice to you all is have an email address separate to any of your day to day activity. Essentially like a "direct all potential spam here" You can (if you so choose) have certain domains like LCPDFR.com forward emails then from the "spam only" email, to your personal ones. But this is mostly a waste of time. Set up spam filters, mark things as spam and the filters learn to help protect you from it. Jay, I found 3 places where a mod author's email is displayed, but it is all from the paypal donate button alone. I'm glad to hear you are working on it :) PS. I ran my tests locally by downloading the website page's source. Maybe it would be beneficial to block access to the inspect element and view source features?
