  1. You have to load a folder and click on the GTAIV executable (or EFLC executable), it then scans your folder.
  2. Does it crash almost instantly or do you get the first menu pop up? Can you post any error logs you have to this thread for us so I can take a look for you.
  3. Hi, Can you post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory for me please. You've made an error with your installation somewhere, check that you have a folder called LCPDFR only and not one called LCPD First Response. Also be sure that the scripthook, advancedhook etc are all in the root of your GTA IV directory.
  4. You can fix the problem by reading the forum. You will have found this guide '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> In that guide you can see chapter 3, downloads. In that chapter is a link to the missing 2010 redistributable that your diagnostic tool has reported. Go download that, install it. Fixed.
  5. No problem at all, you need either dsound.dll or xlive.dll. So try seeing if having xlive.dll only makes it work, if so it's the dsound.dll causing you problems.
  6. Strange, post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory again for me (now that you have done a clean reinstall) And can you also upload your log files. asilog.txt, AdvancedHook.log, AdvancedHookInit.log, Scripthook.log, Scripthookdotnet.log and LCPDFR.log.
  7. It should do o.0 Go to your GTA IV directory, right click the LaunchGTA.exe and then click "Run as Administrator". If the option isn't there you may not have administrator privileges, in which case you will need to log into an account which is an administrator account. As for the logs, you don't seem to have them at all. (I checked your screenshot to verify) What I would suggest doing at this point, is completely uninstalling GTA IV, and clean out the entire directory. Then, reinstall GTA IV and make a clean backup of the game. When that is done, go ahead and install LCPDFR 1.0b and try it again. If it still doesn't work, go into the system control panel, uninstall programs, and uninstall the 2010 and 2012 redistributables, and uninstall the .net 4.5 framework. then go ahead, and download them from the links provided in the guide, reinstall them (only the 86x versions for the 2010 and 2012 files. The 64x ones aren't used) Let me know how that goes.
  8. No. You can run an application in compatibility mode with a previous version of windows. For example, I use windows 7. I can run my applications in compatability mode with vista, or xp. etc. Yes running it as administrator could help. And post the Advancedhook.log and the AdvancedhookInit.log as well and I'll take a look at those.
  9. Alright I see. Running GTA IV as an administrator? Also try Running it in a compatibility mode with windows 7 and see if that helps.
  10. If it says the .net framework 4.5 is missing, then it was unable to detect the .net framework, so verify by going to chapter 3 of that guide, find the .net framework and install it (not just download) Also, we don't have different versions of the diagnostics tool. I'm running on windows 7, you are on windows 8. They are 2 totally different GUI's so the diagnostic tool will look different, it inherits form the system's GUI.
  11. Hi, Can you post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory please, and also have you used the diagnostics tool to check your installation? There is a guide on that here '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  12. Hi, you've made an error with the installation somewhere along the line. Did you follow the tutorial for adding it exactly as it said, and saved the files where you have to edit the lines of text? Don't be sure, you aren't ready for it. The taster is a non-lethal weapon added by LCPDFR and it works fine if you install it correctly.
  13. I don't think there is anything in the logs about it, but you can post them if you feel it necessary. You know that the console has a heal command which replenishes health and fixes the entire car right? ~ to open console, type "heal", hit enter.
  14. When you reinstall GTA IV, copy the entire directory (no mods) and put it in a .zip compressed archive. That way you have a clean backup of GTA IV. If you mod something and it goes wrong (like a vehicle model) you can simply go into your .zip, find the file and copy it across to your actual GTA IV folder. It saves you uninstalling, wiping it all and then reinstalling.
  15. You've got a conflict somewhere causing the crash probably. I recommend you clean out your GTA IV directory entirely and reinstall GTA IV, make a clean backup. When you have done that, go ahead and install LCPDFR 1.0b only and see if it works.
  16. Did you download and install both the 2010 redist and the 2012 redist (only the 86x versions)?
  17. Hi, Can you please post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory for me, and tell me what other mods including ELS you are using?
  18. Hi folks, With there being no recent upload or information other than the little picture, I figured I would give you all some real news on progress. something to actually enjoy. Callouts+ 0.2a will come with some bonus features, things which can be linked in with most callouts, and can be used at any time during your duty as an LCPD officer. It will include some new callouts, obviously, but the features I am implementing will, well....how about I let this little video explain one of them. Enjoy... Oh, and before you all ask "when is this coming out" the answer is, when I've finished it. Maybe before my May exams, maybe after.
  19. Hi, I'm gonna break down your suggestion a bit. First of all, you are aware that you can send orders to your partner already by pressing the necessary ALT keybinds. You don't really need to clutter the player with another interface when it is right there with keys. Holding ALT shows you that little square. that is the pointer for the partner commands. Note as well in the Quick Action menu it has a "Partner Stay" and "Partner Goto" command. Next. Go to the boot and press 'G' to get an inventory screen. I actually kind of like this idea, but it would conflict with the already scripted press E. In other words, players wont like pressing 2 different keys and essentially having 2 unique boots on a single car. Maybe it is possible, who knows. Next. The quick action menu doesn't suck it works fine, given that it is a "quick" action menu. It even slows down time around you as well so you can think a little bit about your decision. I don't see the need again, to have another interface pop up. you are going to add more confusion to the screen. Next. Having more than one partner, not sure if possible by doing the aim and recruit option. Personally I think for the majority of the game, more than one partner is silly, as ineseri said above, using it for the NOOSE is a good idea, but I rarely play noose, and the callouts aren't really aimed at the noose to be honest. Next. Switch player to your partner. Again you are adding confusion. And as said above, it is buggy as hell with the GTA V style switcher, I'll settle for just one player thanks. That's just my thoughts on your suggestions.
  20. Hi, The version you need is 1.0b, this is the most recent version of LCPDFR. If you are seeing a window about an update you may still have an old version installed by mistake. What you need to do is uninstall GTA IV, and completely empty the GTA IV folder. Then reinstall GTA IV and make a backup of the directory. When that is done install LCPDFR 1.0b, and then run the diagnostics tool (found in GTAIV / LCPDFR / ) and get it to check your installation. Post any errors you get here, and a screenshot of your GTA IV directory.
  21. Hi, I strongly recommend you read this guide '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>> It covers the critical error you mentioned in the very first chapter, and it is well worth the read for the extra knowledge, especially the chapter on how to get support the best way. When you have done that, post a screenshot of your GTA IV directory as well as the details gained from the diagnostics tool and I will be able to help you out. (unless of course you figure it out by yourself, in which case well done)
  22. Yes, I too have noticed this! I thought I was going crazy at first. Not too sure why it occurs if I'm honest. To be fair though I rarely use the phone at all in the game when playing LCPDFR so I tend to put it in sleep mode. If you do desperately need the phone again (for example you decided to go to the video editor so you can get some screenshots which you were planning to do) simply pause the game, go to the load save menu, load up the same save file (will take a few seconds at most) and the phone will work fine again :)
  23. Ah ok, you need to use dsound.dll then. Yes, xlive.dll will disable all multiplayer capability, but is the more stable ASI loader.
  24. My god that was funny. :)
  25. The only reason you would get the taxi bug is if you have vehicle or ped models installed which are high poly. This is because GTA defaults to the lowest poly vehicle when it cannot spawn one due to memory issues (which is the taxi, thus the taxi bug) If the value is not set in the LCPDFR.ini file at all it defaults to false, you have to manually set it to true.
