  1. I think he was referring to the fact that in real life to give your partner orders would mean that you were their superior.
  2. I'm quite aware that I have two graphics cards, and it's been a proper pain in the ass. I have an Intel HD 4000 (I think?) integrated, and a Radeon HD 7670M 1GB discrete. The issue with many games is that my computer makes the call as to which one it should use, and the software that is supposed to let me pick what GPU to use seems to not work on any games using OpenGL, leaving me using my shitty little integrated GPU instead of my much more powerful Radeon HD. Also, HP decided to not include the option for me to disable graphic switching and stay on my 7670, meaning I'm stuck with this hunk of crap. Luckily, GTA IV isn't one of these games and uses my discrete GPU. And I've heard very much the same about hyperthreading, many people saying it only helps when you have several different applications running at the same time. Oh well
  3. It seems that even if I only give it one core, it'll still run the same and report the same CPU usage, just the core will be maxed out while the others aren't touched at all. As well, changing the priority won't help too much for me since that'll only matter when the CPU is running at near 100% power, and not all applications can get equal processing power. Oh well, I guess I'll just stick with the stuff I currently have. Sidenote: it seems that my GPU reporting program wasn't working properly, and wasn't recording the proper stats. If anybody has a good GPU monitoring program (that isn't GPU-Z), I'd love to know about it. Cheers.
  4. http://www.4shared.com/file/JTLe8yQl I believe that this is it, as that is what the uploader replied to somebody in the comments.
  5. Hey, I've recently been trying to see just how much juice I can squeeze outta my system, and I've gotten a few tools to help monitor my stats. I'm getting around 20FPS with higher texture and very high reflections (everything else is on low or off as I don't really care about anything else but my car). I have a dual core i5-2450M (yes, it's a laptop) with hyperthreading (giving me 2 extra virtual cores) but for some reason GTA IV is only using one core (usage is stuck at ~25%). As well, my GPU usage is only at like, 4%. I'm running a Radeon HD 7670M as well. I mean, the game is playable, but why the heck am I only getting 4% GPU usage? Does anybody know any way to take some strain off my CPU and put it onto the GPU? I've heard that ICEinhancer (or however its spelt) is quite GPU heavy, but I'm worried that it'll affect my CPU as well, and drop my FPS even further. Any tips, tricks or mods?
  6. Well it's better than half the skins most people upload here, so feel free.
  7. I might suggest coming up with a catchier name for the game. Police Tactics isn't all that impressive :P Perhaps you could ask the LCPDFR community to help you out with that one!
  8. Can I pretty please have your computer? Thanks :D
  9. You should probably get some sort of recording software that'll record CPU and GPU usage, as well as running services and processes, then check out what's running and screwing you over when the spike hits. But sheet man, my laptop can manage like 25 FPS on low settings ;[ Also, a bit confused on how you have 2Gb of RAM... Shouldn't that computer come with 16Gb?
  10. Its actually not that uncommon for tasers to kill and one that many Canadians know is the following: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Dzieka%C5%84ski_Taser_incident Granted, it does seem that exxtreme force was used.
  11. When positioning images, it helps to lower the opacity of the layer so you can see the template in the background.
  12. I'd prefer using tasers, however they have been known to seriously injure and in some cases kill people. One of my friends who happens to be a police officer invited me to come with him on some taser demonstration days as a volunteer, and boy oh boy. Getting hit by that thing will knock anybody down. You feel like your entire body is just stiff, and theres a numbness through your back, and when you hit the ground and the current stops coming through your body you feel this wave of relief, followed by some muscle pain. However, pepper spray is a bitch too - mainly because after getting hit by that shit you'll need to spend quite a while trying to wash it out, and you may be forced to wait until you get to somewhere you can wash out. With tasers, the prongs are made to be removed quickly, although I wouldn't know since I was hooked up directly to the wires.
  13. I was watching a few cop shows, and I wanted to know what shows were/are your favourites? For me, I gotta say that Flashpoint was my favourite mostly because it was based in Toronto (T-Dot anyone?) and because there was quite a bit of action and drama. Now that it's finished, I think I've started to lean towards Rookie Blue (coincidently also based on Toronto) but it's missing certain aspects that I loved in Flashpoint. What's your favourite?
  14. I too would like to see an LED model. In the meantime, I've whipped up a quick NYPD skin. It's a bit rough, but I only spent about 30min on it. It'd be great to see this model released! https://mega.co.nz/#!J8c0wIzS!DdsTASlHZ4REluwkmbU0P0BrGAx4uI8sGtjGG6tOCoI
  15. Oh man that looks and sounds sweeeeet.
  16. I think a forum member was working on this. Not too sure though, sorry.
  17. A big problem though, is that YouTube is getting lazy and just taking a company's word for it instead of checking the actual content. Several larger YouTubers have had their content removed even though it was original content.
  18. I'd like to see some cars that aren't often seen in America, as opposed to the constant Taurus, CVPI, Charger mix.
  19. I can defo vouch for the two series. They are really great to watch, and you do learn a lot through them. It also helps to put in perspective just how scary this was really was.
  20. This is looking really cool bro! And it's nice to see an open-source script released once in awhile too :P I assume you won't be releasing your arrest script open source as well?
  21. I've already tried it, didn't work :S
  22. For some bizarre reason, my game is bugging it like crazy. Simple Native Trainer seems to be the problem, and when I deactivate it, everything works fine. I haven't modded my game since the last time I played - and last time it worked perfectly. Today, for some random reason, it's broken ;S Basicly, when I get into the game my minimap flashes to red and back, and my health bar has armour for half a second, then goes back to not having it, then back to having it, etc etc etc. Also, I've told "No car found" in white text at the bottom of the screen. When I go into the trainer and I turn the shortkeys on (the really annoying ones that interfere with ELS) the problem stops. But, I hate the shortkeys -.-" My question is does anybody know how to fix this issue? If not, does anybody know of an alternative trainer that has the same, or similar functionality? All i really need want it to do is let me disable my wanted level, let me pick some guns, change car colour, livery, clean my car, and change models. Thanks.
  23. Aww man that flight sim pic looks sweeeeeet. I assume it's FSX? I play it with just my single monitor, and it really doesn't do it justice it seems.
