  1. The standard wail tone could use a bit of work; the looping is somewhat awkward as is the ascending of the tone. With that said, the rumbler sounds great. I live in Queens, NY and the NYPD oftentimes uses their rumblers around the area; it sounds quite spot-on. ^-^

  3. That comparison between modders and GM/Ford;
  4. This is incredible! I am definitely enjoying the classic police vehicles based off of the Regina Coupe. :D
  5. Officer Byrne's death was a turning point in the city of New York. The crack epidemic had hit ridiculously hard, but it was generally only after his death when the city began to take things to new heights, stamping out the widespread crack trade for the most part in the coming years. Not to mention he hadn't been on the force for all that long and he was basically assassinated - a notorious imprisoned drug lord at the time put an $8000 hit on any police officer of the NYPD; Byrne was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Here's more info on the specifics - http://www.nypdangels.com/cop/cop.php?id=71 Rather than go into precisely why he has this following attributed to him, just honor the man.

  7. Today marks the twenty-fifth anniversary since NYPD Officer Edward Byrne was gunned down while guarding a witness' house. It forced the city to take on the crack epidemic harder than they ever had before and brought a renewed consciousness into the public's eyes. The full details can be seen on his Wikipedia page, and a retrospective on the crime and is repercussions can be viewed here. Thankfully, his killers were denied parole again last year. More info here; http://www.nypdangels.com/cop/cop.php?id=71 RIP, for making the ultimate sacrifice. He was from the 103rd Precinct in Queens. I live relatively near; last time I visited to ask about the NYPD's hiring process they still had a large photo of him on the back wall. A beautiful gesture, on top of the re-naming of the street in front of the 103rd Precinct to P.O. Edward Byrne Avenue.
  8. Aside from this, I really do wish there was another Esperanto police car besides Lt. Caine's one. Something with a streethawk or aerodynic that is ELS would be awesome.

  12. Thanks for reuploading that video and providing the new link; I can't believe how much PoliceHelper has progressed since it was first posted. You've done an incredible job already, Abraxas, and you just seem to improve time and time again! :D - The fact that you were able to improve the paramedic AI and response time is awe-inspiring in itself. Also, hope you feel better soon - being sick is sincerely a pain and inconvenience beyond many others. >__<
  13. I can't blame you, though I imagine in Manhattan it is a bit more tolerable. Being that I'm in Queens, however, I'm glad that I did not get any odd looks. It was great to see both the exterior and interior up close and in person; nicely kept for a police CVPI especially in the Northeastern US.
  14. Just as a note, the video is blocked in the USA under copyright grounds apparently. A shame; I was excited to see it. Otherwise though, thanks for the continued support for GTA IV policing, Abraxas! :D
  15. Most definitely the New York City Police Department; it is an honor to live within the five boroughs just to catch glimpses here and there. Took this photo a few months ago; usually they use either Impalas or Fusions in my neighborhood, so it was a pleasant surprise to see a CVPI;
  16. This looks beautiful; the truck is well-done and its subtle add-ons are appreciated.
  17. Great job; Carabinieri is ridiculously fun to say. :D
