NYPD SS2000 Smart Siren with Rumbler

(3 reviews)

Seeing as there wasn't a NYPD SS2000 Smart Siren with a correct-sounding rumbler here on LCPDFR, I decided to compile one using elements of other sirens.

The wail/yelp tones originated from this siren, though it appears the original author is unknown. This is the NYPD's standard SS2000 with wail, yelp, and priority; if you do not want the rumbler and would prefer the standard priority tone, use this link - http://www.gta4-mods...ren-sound-f3771

The rumbler originated from v3 of this file - - though I had to edit it in order to get it working correctly with the other two tones. I'm not entirely sure whether or not the author of this siren is Marine831 or if he packaged it from someone else.

All credit for these tones go to their original authors. Note that I had nothing to do with creating the sirens; I just edited them together, amplified them slightly, and made sure they worked correctly when placed in the same .ivaud file.

Demonstration of siren;

Thanks, I knew I had to improve the Smart Siren when none were quite perfect. The ambulance can be found here - http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=511

What are you using to get the lights looking like that? Awesome Siren mod, downloading now, and thanks for the Ambulance link!

Glad you like it! :D - I'm currently using this ENB; it makes the game look much better and works well with ELS as you've seen. It says it is only for EFLC, but I'm running the regular GTA IV and it works perfectly fine -

That's where I was able to find the wail/yelp tones originally. Here's the regular siren without the rumbler - http://www.gta4-mods.com/misc/nypd-police-siren-sound-f3771

I actually think that siren sounds much worse. I currently live in Queens, NY and I have firsthand experience with the NYPDs Smart Sirens. The one you linked to is much too echo-like and distorts sound.

This is the cleanest NYPD Siren I have heard, you should do more, prehaps including a Hi-Low for the police siren or some one of those PA siren tones I have heard a couple of NYPD cars use.
