  1. Although I currently am not on any formal robotics team (I expressed interest in one, but found that I couldn't make the meetings) I am competing in our State Science Olympiad with a partner in a "Sumobot" mobile robot competition. I looked up FIRST, and it seems like an awesome robotics organization that I would participate in any day. Since you mention FIRST, have you participated in it? I'll wait for an answer before I ask a bunch of follow-up questions.
  2. Nice video! The NOOSE seem to have a problem with driving once dispatched. If you have ever seen a NOOSE Enforcer leave a crime scene, it is worse at driving than an ambulance, and that is saying something! I have once been literally mauled by an enforcer bent on driving as fast as possible!
  3. Hehe, I fine and search all jaywalking pedestrians if I ever see one.....
  4. For those of you who have fender-benders at every traffic light: my suggestion would be to stop a few feet in front of the light, and then creep forward to the white line, until the light turns green. The AI is coded to overtake you if they consider your car stopped, but won't overtake you if you are moving slowly. The traffic lights I think are hard-coded to all switch at the same time. For example, all of the vertical traffic lights in Algonquin turn green and all the horizontal traffic lights turn red at the same time. Some of the traffic lights along the main road of Dukes entering from the Algonquin-Dukes-Bohan interchange bridge are glitched; cars are coded to stop at green lights and go on red lights there.
  5. Turn off AI ELS. That should, for the most part, fix your issues, as then ELS would only need to be turned on for one car. If you are still having problems, that probably has to do with some other modification you installed.
  6. Well, I've posted two new videos up on the first page. As always, general feedback or modification suggestions are always a help to me. I think one thing I'll try to improve on in my next commentary video is my enthusiasm. Upon analyzing the video myself, I find it a bit lacking. Enjoy watching it!
  7. Nice undercover taxi, and awesome video! My only suggestion would be about your driving style in pursuits. Having those fast reflexes to block the suspect after he has crashed can effectively end quite a few pursuits. Do those road textures you installed slow down your FPS? I'm thinking of getting them, but I need to make sure before I install them.
  8. That was amazing! The effects and shots of the city and cars were breathtaking. You did a great job representing New York City's finest.
  9. I agree that the police officer's actions here were justified in shooting the suspect. He was shot at the first five times when the suspect was about to whack the officer with the taser, and the last five shots seem to be fired by the other officer, as johnclark said, probably because he had just regained awareness after almost losing his life to the suspect. The problem in modern online society is that everybody in general is strongly skewed against police and police work. Everybody, it seems, prefers anarchy any day to seeing a cop on the streets. I am truly disgusted by the video-takers, though. They find the whole debacle entertaining! They even laugh after the guy is shot. Not to make generalizations, but I would reckon that they probably have committed some of the crimes the deceased suspect has.
  10. All ELS vehicles have the bug of "auto-repair" upon flashing their lights. Personally, I am using ELS V6 with AI lights disabled, and I have experienced no problems. V5 is sometimes more stable and sometimes more unstable. I suggest you try out both before making a decision. There are quite a few LAPD CVPI cars that have good damage models, but they would be nullified by ELS' system.
  11. It would be great to have an SAPD: FR for GTA V. Highway patrol would be taken to a new level, as it looks like cars in GTA V actually drive above 45mph on the highway! The map also looks to be much bigger, so callouts and pursuits could be much more expansive. The AI is also something that is something to look forward to. They might actually be consistently coordinated!
  12. On an unrelated note, has anybody noticed how half of the threads on the fron page of all boards have been locked by moderators?
  13. Also, you should not use your age (or your mental state) to defend yourself. Think before you post things online. This advice is not just for here, but posting anywhere on the web. Also, it seems the moderators have been recently putting the "banhammer" into active use, so that should just be reinforcement for you to think before you post. EDIT: No offense to you, GTARescue1, but you just double posted. :p
  14. I thought suggestions already on the actual suggestions forum were already being taken, due to the multiple changes of RC1 to RC2 correlating with different threads posted there, so I thought they were still being accepted, although not publicly.
  15. I've stated this in the official suggestions sticky over on the suggestions forum, but Sam also stated in the 0.95RC1 release that the framework of 0.95 makes it much more robust, allowing new features to be more easily implemented. There were quite a bit of new features from RC1 to RC2, which are both technically betas, therefore no new major features really should be added. On top of that, many of the new features were popular suggestions being actively discussed here on the forums, so I don't think new posts here can be really considered "necroposting".

Why don't we just remove the -1 option if it is causing so much trouble? I'm sure a lot more people are negatively abusing the reputation system, rather than abusing it for their selfish needs, as the latter requires a lot more effort than the former.
  17. I swear you've made a thread exactly like this before. Let me look it up. EDIT: This is the thread: Well, aside from that, I am interested in EFLC multiplayer for LCPDFR, and my GFWL address is posted in that thread.
  18. Are you using one Radon HD 6870 or two in crossfire? If you are using the former, 600W is enough, but if you are using CrossFireX, then you'll need a higher PSU wattage.
  19. Thanks! I managed to fix that microphone problem, and I am uploading a new video to verify if my possible solution to making my videos fit the full size of the YouTube player works. I think it has something to do with Windows Live Movie Maker.
  20. Gee, its pretty dead in here....... . Anyways, I have added a new video, and this time it has my commentary in it! Occasionally, though, especially in the beginning, the microphone will lower the recording volume as I speak. Also, wind noise is prevalent throughout the whole video. Another problem I've encountered is that the video uploads boxed-in....... Any solutions to these problems or general suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated, though. On that note, I have noticed that nobody has posted for 2 weeks now. I'm sorry I'm sounding conceited, but I really can't keep on triple and quadruple posting every time I post a new video. I didn't make a post for the last video, and I'm only making a post this time because I think commentary is a pretty major addition to videos. I use your feedback to help improve my videos, and it is kind of disheartening to see no response here to my videos, even though I know at least some people care about them. I would post a new topic for every video, but I noticed that the moderators disapprove that, and I like having a centralized "hub" for videos. Well, that's the end of my rant. Sorry if I insulted anybody.
  21. Nice videos! Did you use a separate mod for this, or did you just set it up with a trainer?
  22. This problem used to be happening quite frequently with me. Since you have a 5700 (probably 5770) Radeon HD, and it is now considered relatively low-end, this might be the problem, especially since you are using car mods. Do you have the taxi bug, or some sort of traffic fix? I've found that if you manually use a traffic spawner to circumvent the taxi bag, the game could instead freak out and not properly spawn textures instead. Give us a list of your modifications, and then try uninstalling each one one at a time, and see if any changes are in effect.
  23. Nice story! The only time that has ever happened to me is in a pursuit, and that usually results in an evacuation by my partner and I before a chain reaction starts!
  24. First of all, this is not related to your problem, but this issue should be posted in the general GTA IV forum because it does not pertain to LCPDFR at all. Welcome to the forums, though! I'm guessing you have a trainer. What you need to do is disable the keybindings of the trainer by pressing F3 to go to the menu, and clicking options. There should be an option there to turn off all keybindings. Your errors should subside once you fix that.
  25. First of all, I have to say that I really like your modifications as well as many others on here. They all enhance the experience of GTA very much. I had a question about your unmarked Corvette. Is it possible for me to replace it with police4 in TBOGT with the game still being stable on EFLC? In my opinion, that model fits to replace the Stinger more than the FIB Buffalo.
