  1. You may be able to get 720p video out of your monitor. The only way to be sure of that is to just try a test video. If you find it does not work, you can always uninstall the application.
  2. Your videos are a great addition to the media library of LCPDFR! I like how you record individual callouts, but I found them to be a bit short when they are individual videos. Perhaps combining a few callouts for a "montage" of some sorts would at least appease me? When adding car modifications, start one at a time, as you may not know how much the stability of LCPDFR may deteriorate with each ELS modification. Car modifications do definitely enhance the user and viewer experience, though. Lastly, since this thread is dedicated to your videos, I recommend you put it in the "Media" section of the forum, which could house all of your videos uploaded. I have one question- what screen resolution do you play at?
  3. I'm up for some cooperative LCPDFR on GTA IV: EFLC! Could you post the requirements we need to be in the group, and post a group list? My GFWL ID is sapancarcrazy.
  4. I've tried WeGame for recording. It is good for recording, but the only problem is that the free version only lets you record in half resolution, which for some who play on 720p monitors (or me, who plays on a 1440X900 monitor), it will prevent them from recording HD video. If you have a high resolution monitor, though (>1680X1050), than it is great for recording 720P videos in fairly small file sizes.
  5. OS: Windows 7 Home Premium OEM ($100) Processor: AMD A6-3650 ($110) GFX: msI Radeon HD 6770 ($100) RAM: Kingston 4GB 1600 ($30) HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500GB ($45) PSU: DiabloTek 775W ($60) Motherboard: msI FM1 motherboard ($85) TOTAL (w/Win7+building tools): $570 I've been using this computer for about 6 months now, playing one to two times a week on average, and the computer is still (and should be) chugging along. I bolded the processor because I intended to buy a Phenom II X4 965 BE with an AM3+ motherboard, but the sales people at the TigerDirect store persuaded me to go for the APU, which they touted would increase my performance by 40% with its integrated graphics. In hindsight, I should have stuck with the Phenom II for its better performance and AM3 socket type, but I did save a lot at the store with special store discounts, and apparently the A6-3650 (2.6GHz) performs better than the comparatively priced stock FX-4100 (3.6GHz) in pure CPU power :p Building a PC is fairly easy to do; you just have to be careful when handling the motherboard. If there was one thing I would have done to improve my build, it would have been to spend an extra $100 on an Intel Core i5 2500K instead. A graphics card upgrades only requires you to buy a new card while a new CPU may potentially require you to buy a new CPU AND motherboard. EDIT: I run GTA EFLC on high settings at 30FPS.
  6. I'll consider doing that, but that seems pretty risky as is. Do you know of any actual examples of traffic fixes that are compatible with EFLC? The only ones I can find are confirmed to be compatible with 1.0.4.0 or 1.0.7.0.
  7. Well, the game still starts, even with TrafficFlow installed; even if its configurable pool of cars is only from GTA IV cars, all GTA IV cars are included in EFLC, so I'm not sure that's evidence of incompatibility with EFLC. I won't mind if it can be officially confirmed by someone that TrafficFlow does not work with EFLC. On that note, is there any alternative to TrafficFlow that is confirmed to be compatible with EFLC?
  8. Sorry that I didn't clarify, but I do have TrafficFlow V5 R2 installed, and only one car mod installed, but there appears to be no difference in traffic variety before and after installing TrafficFlow.
  9. @unr3al- Sorry about putting this in the wrong section; I was pretty tired when I posted it, and I've never used the regular GTA IV forums before, so when I saw in "Random", that it said "anything that doesn't have to do with LCPDFR", I assumed that my thread would pertain to that topic. Ok, thanks for that bit of information. I think I have everything set now, but I have run into a new problem that is associated with car mods. Currently, only my "FBI" car slot is modded with at high-poly Ford Focus police car. Even after installing TrafficFlowV5, I still am experiencing the taxi bug. If it helps a bit, my resources currently used for VRAM are about 650MB/1018MB, and my traffic density is set at 50. I am using EFLC, if compatibility is an issue. Is there a way to fix my solution, or do I just have to use a lower-poly car mod?
  10. Thanks for the very quick answers! This is, for the most part, very good news, and it will enable me to try a few more different cars out hassle free.
  11. Hey guys, I've been using LCPDFR for a few months now, but I never bothered to install car mods or ELS. Now, I do have one car enabled with ELS. I had a few questions going forward: 1) Do I have to replace the original file whose name the car mod has? For example, if I want to mod my Noose car slot using a slicktop CVPI download with files fbi.wft and fbi.wtd, would it be ok to change the name to noose.wtd and noose.wft so that the Noose car slot can be modded? 2) Is it possible to mod EFLC police car slots such as the Police Stinger and Police Buffalo? 3) Are ELS-H cars less crash-prone than full ELS V6 vehicles when paired with LCPDFR? As always, thanks in advance for the answers to these puzzling questions. I really appreciate the help I can receive here.
  12. MsI Radeon HD 6770- I can run EFLC on high settings with 30FPS, but any ENB eye-candy will put me in the 15FPS range when not recording.
  13. I'm pretty sure you can still use the process above to bind the accelerate and brake keys to the up and down keys, but before that, you will need to bind the activation key of the cell phone from the up key to a different key.
  14. By default, the arrow keys as well as the WASD set up should be able to be used to control steering. In fact, I used to use the arrow keys to steer before I got a wired Xbox 360 controller to drive, and I also use EFLC 1.1.2.0. If they don't work for you. You can always change that by going into the Controls, then to Keyboard-Mouse configuration. After that find, the driving controls for steering, and press the left/right arrow keys to replace the A and S keys to steer left and right.
  15. Sorry, I must have overlooked your statistics. Jared does have 659 arrests, though.
  16. That's great! Enjoy this awesome modification- it has as much content and possible playtime as the whole of EFLC itself!
  17. Try reinstalling LCPDFR 0.95 again. You may have forgotten to install ScriptHook on installation.
  18. Sorry that I'm double posting, but is there a way to edit the title? I have more than one video now on here, so I would like to remove the "my first video" text on the title.
  19. This is a very nice video! I especially like the Charger you have.
  20. Signature! Currently the top person for arrests on this thread is Jared.
  21. I was considering CamStudio initially in my hunt for recording software, but I looked at a few reviews and videos, and they seemed pretty negative about the quality of videos. Would you mind posting a short LCPDFR video? For some reason, Xfire-In-Game, which you use to record games, only worked the first time I played EFLC. Now it never works when I try the hotkey. Oh well.
  22. Wow, that's a very nice find! This just shows that even now we still haven't explored every nook and cranny of Liberty City yet!
  23. I've looked in quite a few places for what you are looking for, but I've come up empty-handed. The only truly freeware recording softwares have mediocre quality, such as GameCam or Gregino. If you don't mind having 480p videos, then Gregino is my best choice for you. The only free recording software I've found that does not implant a watermark are ones that have limited free trials. I am also interested if an answer comes up.
  24. Additionally, if you have it, you could use Simple Native Trainer to teleport wherever you want to go. As an added bonus, you could save some cash!
