Adding police car to patrol?
Wait, don't you need to specify an added car's ELS settings to have it work with ELS lights though?

LCPDFR's Most Intense Moments Video/Police POV
Nice videos! You got pretty angry with the taser in that second video. Don't you wish that everybody didn't become scared at the taser shots? I like that skin and your lights; are you using Radiance or Luminescence to make them brighter?

My patrol and attending to incident ( failed)
Did you speed the video up? Nice car, although you tended to miss the turns on it during that pursuit. :P Have you upgraded to 0.95RC2-R2, or are you having trouble installing it?

Can someone make a mod of this? It looks so cool! I'll be using that for my highway patrol.

Quick Survey
Haha, actually, I am in the process of taking one, and I find it fascinating. That's why I noted at the end to carry on, as it was for school. Although it probably would be very difficult to conduct one, I was just saying it was the ideal method of survey for something like this. If the government was actually considering this, they would assign this task to a polling company such as Gallup to do that. You probably know that already, though. Unless I'm incorrect- I'm in the process of learning!

What do you want to see more of in LCPDFR?
You know, it really doesn't matter whether the citations are officially called bribes, since the actual money from the citation, when it is given, goes into our own bank accounts. On that note, would it be possible to have a kind of community-wide LCPDFR budget? For example, the budget starts out at $100,000. Only registered members who have connected their crime statistics would contribute. When calling in backup, a certain amount of money would be taken away ($100 regular backup, $500 NOOSE, $1000 Helicopter/ASU). Money could be earned by citations ($40,60,100), successful callouts ($400), or arrests ($50 ea.). Having an "accident" would lose $500, and having an "officer killed" would lose $1000. The benefits of this would be a more tightly-strung community, and a feeling in LCPDFR that you are actually part of a larger group, and not just your own crusader. The drawbacks would be that people could manipulate the system, positively or negatively, and various other complications, such as trainers, could distort things, although I believe these issues are also present in Crime Statistics, and are being dealt with accordingly. Although this idea may be focused more on the integration between the mod and the site, I think it would be something to consider to make the community more active. Things such as goals could be set in place to encourage more activity, and keep people coming back for more. This idea is just something that came to my head while reading through, but I think it could be taken tinto consideration, especially since its a more site-oriented suggestion than a mod suggestion. Maybe the move of servers would make this idea feasible.

Quick Survey
I really can't take this survey, as I'm technically too young to drive yet, although I am close to that age of eligibility. Are there other sources of feedback for this survey? The statistical side of me would like to note that this survey would be quite biased because the people on these forums should be more for safety regulation and enforcement than the rest of the internet. Also, this survey is what would be called a "convenience sample", and the results really cannot reflect the whole population's point of view on this issue. Ideally, you would use a survey that takes a Simple Random Sample of drivers in the country or region where this new device might take hold, and survey their opinions. Since this is just for a course presentation, though, carry on with the survey! :P

Kony 2012 campaign a big scam?
To be honest, after seeing all those KONY 2012 posts popping up, I thought he was some sort of Internet crusader vying for the presidency in the U.S. While the video itself was probably one of the most convincing "cause" marketing videos I have ever seen, except maybe that Dodge commercial in the Superbowl with Clint Eastwood, and even that was kind of indirect in the marketing, not many factual sources were listed of his crimes, backing up the claims he made. I'm not even sure if this is a full underhanded business scam, as their website is focused primarily on knowledge, rather than donation. By the way, how did this video become viral so quickly? As I look through all of his other videos, the one with the most views has 20,000 of them. Heck, even a slice of your videos ham ave a lot more views than the causes' best non-viral videos!

New Server!!
Well, I hope that our downtime is reduced by the server move. It seems to me like there has been a lot more trouble to the site recently than before. Maybe its the influx of new people frequenting the site?

New Computer, is it good?
That rig is a lot more balanced, and I would recommend it over your first choice. It should be able to run GTA IV smoothly, but you may have trouble with the graphics cards for games in the future, but its fine for now. May I ask how much you are spending on that PC?

New Computer, is it good?
WAIT! I would like to differ from GTAIVCode3 in saying that if you want to play GTA IV on that computer at reasonable settings, nonetheless GTA V if it comes out, you will be missing the mark. The Radeon HD 7450 is an entry-level graphics card that is meant to be used only for web-based gaming and viewing media, using it as an HTPC. It will not do a very well job running today's games, and is not "future-proof" at all. Unless you plan on upgrading your graphics card in the near future, don't expect to do any serious gaming smoothly with that card. The processor should suffice, but I would not recommend it. The AMD FX series is one that is sorely lacking in performance, and is also, to some extent, not "future-proof", at least not for demanding games in the future akin to Battlefield 3, or GTA IV in the past. Now that my "rant" is over, what is your budget? We could recommend a computer to buy, or parts to build a computer with that could both save you money, and give you a big performance boost compared to your current build. If you are specifically focused on GTA IV, I would also refer to you the "PC Performance" section of GTAForums.com. This site along with that site helped me finalize my current budget build I have.

Economy Crash ( your city)
Our city in the U.S. has some of the highest unemployment rates in our state, Wisconsin. Gas over here is about $3.40 a gallon. Thankfully, I haven't gone through the "job, house, car, adult" transformation yet, so I don't see the worst effects of the recession. Stocks have been going up for a while, and I think the worst is over, and light is in sight.

How to install a police car skin?
I fixed the problem. I did open the .wtd file, but that's all I did. What I needed to do is highlight the .wtd file and click "Edit" instead of double-clicking it.

How to install a police car skin?
Inside the .wtd file, I can only "save", or "save all" textures. There is no "import file". Am I doing something incorrectly?

EDIT: A huge facepalm for me. It seems like not many people use tags, so directly searching in the next subforum comes up with answer. Sorry!

Is anyone else sick of the GTA IV islands?
Hey, us GTA folk can at least stand 4 year waits between games, unlike millions of other people, (*cough CoD *cough).

Texturing Tips & Tricks
Wow! This is just what I was looking for; a detailed tutorial to texturing police cars in GTA. I may just abandon try out GIMP instead of Photoshop for this!

Realistic arrest in LCPDFR
I think we should just combine the surrendering and arresting animation from 0.95, and combine with the "get in the car" animation from 0.91. The full arresting process from 0.91 seemed kind of lengthy and cumbersome. There have been some times when I have to get out of the area fast because of cars on fire with the suspect and my partner!

I watched this quite a bit earlier, but I forgot to comment. Nice video! I also like that GMC SUV you used. Do you know where you got it?

How to install new cruiser?
Welcome to the forums! A friendly reminder is that support not related to the LCPDFR mod should be placed in the "Content Modifications" board. Here is a video that should be able to help you install your car mods: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o76dxitNQUI I hope that helps, and happy modding!

crime statistics not updated.
Try reinstalling LCPDFR. By the way, did you make your account using Facebook? I'm pretty sure that there have been some previous issues with Crime Statistics when using a Facebook-integrated account. Try making a separate account and reinstalling LCPDFR with those account details if you do have one.

GTX 560 sli or GTX 570
What is your PSU wattage? I would suggest getting the GTX 570 because it uses much less power than a GTX 560 SLI setup. Besides, GTA does not like multiple GPU setups, and does not count the extra power of a second GPU, so if you are playing GTA, you would only be able to use the one GTX 560. If I were you, though, I would suggest instead to wait until the GTX 600 series comes out. That will both lower the prices of 500 series GPUs, and give you some more powerful options.

How did you find out about LCPDFR?
About a year ago, I think, I became bored with the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV and EFLC. Since I 100%ed both games, all I really did was have big cop chases with cops, but I always wanted to see if I could be the cop itself. First, I looked up GTA IV pursuit videos where the person is a cop, and this person had videos where he used the Vigilante System to start up a pursuit, shoot all passenger, and just chase the driver on the Xbox 360. I started to try doing that, and while that was a lot better than just running from the cops, it was a lot of work to shoot all passengers, but not the driver. It was a very rewarding pursuit when I managed to do that. As I was doing this, I was looking up further police videos, and I stumbled upon NBVGV and LCPDFR. I think my first video I watched of his was "Responding Through Heavy Traffic". Needless to say, I was amazed to see how much traffic was there, albeit all taxis, and I tried to emulate his video on the Xbox, but its low traffic killed it for me. I looked up further videos, such as the old "Gang Unit" videos, and I was amazed by the cars and "LCPDFR". I could not believe that you didn't have to kill everybody like a vigilante! I then bought GTA EFLC, hoping in vain that it would work through BootCamp on my old MacBook Pro. This was around May, when I first joined. Dismayed by that failure, I waited a few months, then resolved to buy a computer after seeing the leaps and bounds of 0.95 Beta. I built a budget computer, and finally, I could play the game, right around the time LCPDFR 0.95RC1 came out. I've been enjoying it ever since, and I even have put my (very small) foot in the LCPDFR media business! There's my life story of my experiences with LCPDFR. I hope you didn't fall asleep reading it!
