  1. I expect to post a new video by Saturday to kick off a patrol series by me, but unfortunately, it will only have subtitles, due to the fact that I have to still find that old webcam and check if Bandicam detects it.
  2. No, it didn't say that for me. I checked to see if my monitor has a built-in microphone, but it sadly doesn't. I do have a spare webcam, though. Would that work for transmitting a voice-over?
  3. Nice videos! I really should get out of Algonquin more often to get the cool callouts you have. :p
  4. Ok, thanks for the answers. I am heavily considering getting fraps or some sort of paid recording software, but I'm hesitant only because I'm not sure if I will be able to commit to using the software frequently. Bandicam is $30, I think. Do you think FRAPS is best overall, or is there another paid/free software that is better than FRAPS? EDIT: It is actually $39, and FRAPS is currently $37.
  5. What version of GTA IV you have? You need version 1.0.7.0. Are you installing RC2-R2? That should fix the installation error.
  6. I've done a complete overhaul of my original thread. Here I'll be posting my latest 2 videos, along with any possible questions. I'll put a link to my channel with the rest of my videos below. Any feedback or suggestions is greatly appreciated! Latest video: Patrol Episode 9: My channel can be found in my signature. I post weekly LCPDFR patrol videos as well as some other miscellaneous GTA IV videos on occasion. I really want to try out multiplayer patrol to see how it is. If you liked any of my videos, please subscribe, rate, and do the other Youtube-yada-yada to support me!
  7. This sounds pretty neat! I registered, and now I'm just waiting to be authorized so I can start the Roleplaying.
  8. Well, that depends on your definition of "max out". Is it just what will make GTA look the best, or just all the settings turned to highest possible? Will you be using any ENB/ graphical enhancing mod? Frankly, with GTA IV you should not be aiming to "max out" the game, as very few I know of have with consistent smooth gameplay. The new graphics card you affix will be able to give you smooth gameplay with almost highest settings and a graphics mod, which makes the game look 5X better.
  9. IVDashCamV2 is a mod used for all GTA IV police vehicles, and it outfits quite a few helpful police details to your car, when you drive in it, including your speed, time of patrolling, etc. It also has a neat speed radar functionality in which you can clock the speeds of NPC vehicles by setting up an area to read speeds of vehicles passing by. The speed radar will light up red whenever a high speed is detected in the zone, so you can pull them over.
  10. Although my problem doesn't directly relate to LCPDFR itself, it does relate to IVDashCam V2 sponsored here. When I first installed the mod, it worked fine with LCPDFR, but then after a few days, it couldn't even start, and on startup, it gave me an "engine" error. I tried to remove all files of IVDashCam, except ScriptHook, which LCPDFR also uses, but now TBoGT won't load on my first attempt, and I have to restart my computer and attempt to load it again for it to work. It says I have an ASI loader error when it crashes, but I checked and I do have an ASI loader in my EFLC directory. Any help is appreciated. EDIT: I forgot to mention that the only mods I have ever installed are LCPDFR 0.95RC2, SNT 6.2, and IV DashCam V2
  11. I don't think you'll be able to max out the game, but you probably will be able to play on very high settings with the sliders around 50. Night shadows on highest settings require more than 1GB of video ram, and you don't get any extra VRAM out of CrossFire. GTA IV as a whole does not benefit much from CrossFire based on others' experiences. Of course, everybody's experiences with GTA differ, so fiddle around with the settings to see what your computer can handle smoothly.
  12. I've tried doing what you said about searching an occupied vehicle, but the game doesn't even give me the prompt to search before I first walk up to the driver. After I check the driver's license, a prompt does come up, but the trunk still cannot be opened. Only when the suspect is out of the vehicle can I search it. I am very glad, though, that the parking ticket and search vehicle functions were introduced. They are great! A "street racing" callout would be pretty cool, if its possible to implement.
  13. Since the only mod I have installed besides LCPDFR is SNT on EFLC, I don't crash fully often (screen freeze). On the other hand, occasionally, after 30-40 minutes of playing, I will lose access to most police commands (pullover, arrest, search, etc.), and lose acces to police stations, which compels me to reload a save. I don't think that counts as a crash, though.
  14. Are you sure? On the second post of this topic LMS said he pinned the topic until full control integration is available. Do you have a controller to check if controller support works on your test version? Sorry about my inquisitive nature.
  15. For some reason IVDashCam stopped working after a few days. Every time I loaded up the game, it notified me that there was a core failure. What should I do?
  16. They should put this mod on the cover when the final 0.95 version is released!
  17. Supper replied to Tomoya's topic in Discussion
Actually, road blocks (not bridge blocks) have been implemented into the game; I was recently playing TLAD and in the mission in which you steal a prison bus, road blocks were scripted to block off intersections. It was actually pretty cool. I think it would be best though to start with bridge blocks and perhaps spike strips if the bugs can be tinkered with.
  18. Is it possible to confirm if full controller support will be added with RC2? Right now, it just seems that the "E" key mapped to the "LB" button does not register at all, not just with arresting. For example, I cannot add a partner using a controller, or view the introduction, which both use the LB (E) button.
  19. Well, it seems like they have kept Pursuit World Events, as they were featured in one of NB's preview videos for RC2, although they still seem to be rare. At least they are there!
  20. Huh, my rare world pursuit on RC1 must have been an error then, as my game did slow down quite a bit when it came up on the radar....... Well, the main reason I do force callouts is that normal callouts do not come often and are mainly domestic disturbance, which can get pretty repetitive if patrolling on the same island for a long period of time. Since I do figure that callouts will be more varied and often in the next version, they will probably throw out Alt+F11, then, I guess. EDIT: Now that I think of it, I should have gotten a Rockstar Social Club video out of it. At the time, I didn't know it was supposed to be removed....
  21. Well, I can assure you that I have no car mods in my game. Are NOOSE responders exclusively FIB when calling backup in pursuits, on foot, or both? I rarely ever call NOOSE in pursuits, but maybe that is the reason why.
  22. Ah, so they took out pursuits in RC2? Oh well, that's ok, but I hope we still get to force callouts, as I love me some armed robbery pursuits!
  23. Is it just my version of LCPDFR 0.95RC1, or is it just an aspect of this version that makes random pursuits so rare? It seems every world event that pops up are on foot. The only time I have ever received a random pursuit was when I was in a regular cavalcade in Central Algonquin. When I watched some 0.95 beta videos, I noticed they were quite frequent. Will this be changed, or do we need to change this in the ini?
  24. Yeah, I also get a variety of different NOOSE/FIB response cars when calling for them in a major shootout. They do seem to take a long time to respond, though. If you ever follow a Stockade after a shootout is Code 4, than you will notice that they drive EXTREMELY aggressively and drive at top speed, causing many accidents and lives lost! Sometimes my police cruiser can't even keep up with it!
