  1. @Nicolai- Sorry, I had to bump the thread because I scheduled a new game through an edit, and by that time the thread was already on the second page, and I needed to notify people. In the last game, everybody that showed up only had the base edition of GTA IV. @Erik- What timezone do you live in? Ok, I'll add you both into the group. I'm going to have the delay the game back a few hours, pending a decision on cancellation, because real life and its big arms have swept me away again for the third week. This is the reason why it would be great to have a co-hoster for games. I'll try and add you both on GFWL tomorrow.
  2. I think both sound and text would be best, especially since sometimes I'm too busy doing something else in game to catch a callout that would have been voiced, so the text is a helpful reminder. The only way to do this, though, is to either use specific dispatcher audio clips from the police computer in game, or use real life ones.
  3. Wow, that Cavalcade went really fast! It's kind of dangerous to PIT him at those speeds- who knows what could have happened! I'm surprised myself that the driver wasn't injured at all. Are the audio problems due to the Police Scanner?
  4. You know what, I'll just post the link here: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=416236. I don't know why you can't post the link to the mod, as it has been out for a long time now.
  5. His channel name is Uploading14, I believe. I actually was going to write a comment on your old thread about your videos. I think they are interesting, and I look forward for more. I agree in that it's better to post regular content, and you also do not want to oversaturate your channel with too many videos at once. If you want your channel to grow, engage with your audience, and keep them engaged. Remember, your first 100-500 subscribers are usually the hardest to get. Also, vary your content up. Don't just post patrol videos- have multiple series. I'm still expanding my variety of videos myself. Sharing your LCPDFR content around anywhere but here will usually not be affective, especially since police roleplay is in such a small niche of GTA videos. When I initially started making videos, I made the mistake in my want for more views to link on another GTA Forum to my channel, and I swear that every referral I got from there (not many) resulted in a dislike. My most important advice is to make your content your content. Whether it be clever ideas, neat editing, custom mods, or your unique commentary, make sure that there is something in your videos that identifies with you. Always keep this in mind.
  6. Nice driving skills by the other cop at 1:27! I like how you had to shoot the criminals because you couldn't catch up to them :P. Maybe the cop will learn now that he shouldn't eat that many doughnuts!
  7. @littlekegs- Do you really need to do that? I find it really annoying when someone does that in my videos. That's just spam. If you want people to view your content, make it the best it can be. Don't just spam on other people's threads. @dcp1293- I'm liking the new episodes! Would it be possible for you to link to the timecycle in this thread?
  8. Yeah, I wouldn't really recommend playing LCPDFR in MP with random people, as most people playing GTA aren't too inclined with the police side of things, so they could react very negatively to your actions. They probably would also make all the scripts go whacky with their interference and "griefing".
  9. Could we put the flaming to a halt now, and discuss reasonably about how the police would deal with a killer? When the police chief and the department members were being shot at, they would have just cause to lethally shoot the criminal. If they had raided his basement, and he was pointing his gun at them, that would also be just cause to shoot the killer. If he had surrendered, though, they would need to put him through a fair trial. Obviously, he didn't want that, or he had mental issues, so he killed himself. I enjoy reading threads like these, but usually do not partake in them, but it makes me cringe when I see flame wars on here, since I know that LCPDFR's community is better than that.
  10. Oh, I think there's an option in the channel settings that says "send subscribers automatically to feed tab", and its already checked for you. I think you uncheck that to get everybody to the "Featured" tab. I think you go to the "Featured" tab because when I first saw your channel as a non-subscriber, I went to the "Featured" tab, but when I subscribed, I went to the "Feed" tab. I think you don't see it because you can't subscribe to yourself. :P
  11. I really like how this ENB looks, but I can't get it to look that way on my computer. When I tried installing the d3d9.dll(s), any combination of 1, 2, or all 3 of them yielded an error. Without them, the timecycle and everything else works, but the game looks vastly inferior than in the showcase videos. I tried on both GTA IV base, and GTA EFLC. Are there any other alternate solutions here?
  12. I forgot about this- would it be possible for you to redirect your subscribers to the "Featured" or "Videos" tab instead of the "Feed" tab? I like to visit your channel to comb through some of your older works, so it would be a little bit easier to do that with the change in redirection. Thanks!
  13. Haha, I just realized I've been using the exact same timecycle as you have been all along! Do you have a high saturation rate? I think my game looks worse because of my aging monitor! :P
  14. Yes, that thread that nobody really likes because only the thread-maker posts in it is back in your viewing! After a three week leave of absence, I finally managed to get over my illness to make another special patrol video for the first time in GTA IV with the snow. I was wondering if I should make a new series for snow patrol, or if I should just incorporate snow patrol intermittently in my regular patrols? Feedback would be great, although I seem to hardly ever get any here, anyways. Every time I update this thread I feel bad because I think I'm going to be banned for extreme multi-posting and bumping.... Oh well. Enjoy it, I guess.
  15. Hey, thans for clarifying that you only use the timecycle. I thought you also had shaders, since your game looks so nice! I'll try it out.
  16. Hey, great videos! I always like listening to your commentary, as it will give me a laugh and keep me engaged, if not anything else. You have quite a following over on YouTube, though! I have been wondering for a while now; do you use any ENB, or do you just use an edited timecycle? Your lighting always looks very balanced, and I've been having troubles with the night with what I'm using (maybe its just my bad monitor). It must take a really long time to upload the videos; its like watching LCPDFR movies. I'll be looking forward to more content. If you still remember me, I'm SupperCrunch on YouTube. Welcome to the forums, although you've had LCPDFR for a while!
  17. Nice videos and commentary! It's nice to see that you will bring the Taurus back, especially since you mix using the Crown Victoria and the Taurus. As an unrelated question, does your county use Taurus police units, or just Crown Victorias or another type of unit?
  18. I'll be looking forward to the next iteration of LCPDFR! Nice previews; I liked how you highlighted the new features.
  19. Guys, I'm really sorry about not following up on my post earlier. I became ill right after posting last time here. I'll get to adding anybody who has unattended applications, and I'll see if I can set up a game sometime this weekend. I haven't ended this group, though; I intend to make it last! I would just like to remind everybody about the new game scheduled, if you didn't notice the updates I made since they were edits, rather than posts. Sorry about the double post. I look forward to playing LCPDFR with you guys on Sunday! The reason for delay in processing is that I realized I can't send messages through my laptop on xbox.com without a gold account, and I haven't had much access to my desktop lately. I will have everybody by Sunday. I still am looking for somebody in an alternate time zone to host games!
  20. Updating my problems above, I tried using the timecyc inside Neolux's ENB v1.2, and I have the exact same error as the timecyc that you provided. The other timecyc's work, but the lights sometimes are messed up at certain weather patterns.
  21. Ok, thanks for the quick reply! I did replace the timecyc with a different one, and it does work, and the lights are very nice, but the timecyc I use still doesn't look as good as the ENB one you've showcased. Do you get a "d3d" error with the d3d9.dll? What does it even do, anyways?
  22. Ok, I've tried using the ENB, but the d3d9.dll is causing me to get a "d3d" error. If I remove it, the game runs fine, but the timecycle becomes all wonky. Should I replace the timecycle with another, and see if that works, or is it the shaders causing the problem, or the lack of the d3d9.dll? I've tried installing on both GTA IV and EFLC, and both have the same error.
  23. Sorry I've been not on top of things at the moment! I'll try and get everybody added into the group before the end of today. Remember, my new GFWL ID just for the multiplayer group is SensoryCoot15. I'm hoping to host another game by the end of today, but the time is still TBA. Sorry for the inconvenience!
  24. Hey, that is an awesome ENB with police lights that I have been looking for a while! I have a question; I can run GTA IV on all high settings except without night shadows at 35FPS. How much of an FPS drop should I expect if I install this ENB? I am raring to try this out!
  25. Ok, I'll try and add you two and get the game started within 15 minutes. I arrived home later than I thought; sorry for the delay! MY NEW GFWL IS SensoryCoot15. Do not be alarmed by a friend request from that ID.
