  1. Fortunately you are free to make any such adjustments in the XML file as you see fit :)
  2. @Narobic There is no PreventAreas. Vehicle entries need to be in a <VehicleSet>. Also if you edit your XML file and something doesn't work, check the RPH log, usually it'll log at least the location in the XML file which had the problem.
  3. Is 13 other vehicles enough for ya? ;)
  4. The pack also includes a white-on-green skin. You can see it in some of the later screenshots.
  5. I already made one. Search bar is your friend :) Also, while the white-on-green are more common, there are many green-on-white fire trucks in the USFS too.
  6. Fix your XML file. In your ragepluginhook.log file it will say exactly what the error is. Make sure you have a CustomBackup.xml file in Plugins\LSPDFR\CustomBackup
  7. It should just be Paleto Bay. Note though that Paleto Bay fire station is the closest station to many areas of the map outside of Paleto Bay. I may consider adding a PreventAreas entry in the future so you could exclude a unit from responding to certain zones. Download this Excel file of world zone names to make your life easier:
  8. That's a notification from Better EMS. It was compiled for RPH 0.41 so it checks for that version, and you're on 0.42. No problem - it works fine on 0.42, I just haven't released an update yet.
  9. I'm guessing your zone definitions are incorrect. I just created these entries to support rangers, and tested it and it works fine.
  10. We plugin developers talk about this together frequently. Believe me, it gets annoying for us too, and we want to make the experience as enjoyable for you all as possible. There is a limit on how much we can do though with what's provided by the LSPDFR API. A unified menu right now would have to be yet another plugin for you to install, for us to create and integrate, and for everybody to constantly update. I have proposed some changes to the LSPDFR API which would help with these issues and make it easier for both developers and players. We don't know when LSPDFR 0.4 might be coming out, or what API changes it might bring. But changes to the API are the only practical way this mess can be resolved.
  11. The code will always choose the closest station by driving distance to wherever you are. Are you sure that if you add the custom station and go stand right next to it, it doesn't send a unit from there? The RestrictAreas bit just means they can only respond to those areas from that station, but it doesn't mean other stations can't respond to that area. I will eventually add an air ambulance feature, that will be in a far future version though as it is a lot of work to make that feature work the way I want it to. I agree that the air ambulance makes more sense in some places. In the meantime, Wilderness Callouts by alexguirre has a basic air ambulance feature which you could use. I've been meaning to add a park ranger spawn point to the XML file but just haven't gotten around to it yet. As you observed, it's possible to add one yourself :)
  12. That is probably from my Better EMS mod. It warns you if the version of RPH is different from the version it was created for. However, it works fine on 0.42, so no need to worry about it!
  13. You can't upload the original car files. You can upload a texture you made for it though. Usually the person who made the model made the template; you should give credit to the model author and link to the place where people can download the original model.
  14. Beta version 2.0 Beta 2 is now available for beta program participants from the lcpdfr.com download page. This version includes many major changes, and may have some lingering stability issues. Compiled for RPH 0.42. Vastly improved driving AI. Responding units will now speed up when on the highway, slow down when on dirt roads, and avoid ramming into other vehicles. Impatient Youtuber mode improved to force the responding unit to always spawn on a paved road when being warped closer. Added speed zone around incident area to slow down all vehicles. More performance improvements. Keeps track of original death cause info if a ped is not revived, and then you call EMS on them again. Various API additions Beta testers please refer to the detailed beta release notes included in the download. I am hoping to have a public release ready soon. I apologize for the delay - the large number of significant changes included have required additional testing and refining. I'm looking forward to making this even Better™ version stable and ready for all of the players!
  15. It makes a huge difference in two particular areas: Suicides. If somebody can buy a gun immediately, they can use it immediately. "Research published in the American Journal of Public Health showed that states with a law in place that required a waiting period for the completion of handgun sales had 27% fewer suicides per capita and 51% fewer firearm suicides." Heat of the moment shootings. Same principle, but with domestic violence and related cases. If you just walked in on your spouse cheating on you, you could go buy a gun, then go shoot the person they were cheating with. With a waiting period, it's more likely that by the time you got the gun, you'd have calmed down a bit and realized murder isn't the answer. Your answer completely ignores the point that the officer would be much less likely to be exchanging fire with the suspect if the suspect didn't have access to guns in the first place. Also, if the suspect had a rifle, it would've been an even worse situation for the officer. Would you honestly prefer to live in a society where everybody carries a rifle around with them all the time, to defend themselves against all the other people carrying rifles?
  16. There is absolutely room for debate about the constitutionality of gun ownership in the US, and what level of weapon ownership the found fathers meant for the 2nd Amendment to defend. There is precious little room for debate about whether a drastic decrease in gun ownership would save lives. The facts back this up. Australia is perhaps the most obvious example; their drastic gun control measures have reduced murders involving a gun by 72% and they have had 0 mass shootings since these measures went into effect. On a personal level, I fail to understand how anybody who wishes to own a gun for personal use of any of the commonly cited reasons (self defense, hunting, sport, etc.) needs high-capacity magazines, semi-auto fire, or any other weapon technology designed for the rapid elimination of human life. AR-15s are the most frequently used particular weapon in US mass shootings, including recent mass shootings of law enforcement. If you value human life over a personal affinity for high-powered weapons, you can't morally support the status quo of gun control in the US. I'm not suggesting that all weapons should be taken away, but clearly something needs to change. The constitution was meant to evolve over time. Slavery was legal when the 2nd Amendment was written. Women couldn't vote. If our only argument for unfettered access to guns is the mere existence of the 2nd Amendment, that's not a very strong position to argue from.
  17. Did you read this bit? There's a problem with your XML file, it tells you as much - even where in the file, line 163, column 7. 18. Thank you for the detailed report. I will look into it.
  19. The model has to support it, it's not something that every model can have. If the model supports it, there's usually a version included with all blue lights.
  20. I can only seem to get 2 skins to work at a time, even if I add F350_sign_3, sign_4, etc. Any ideas? EDIT: Nevermind, I had named one of the textures incorrectly.
  21. I'll look into it. Did you do a CleanWorld which deleted the EMS peds?
  22. If you follow the forum thread, I always post a notice in the forum thread whenever there's a beta release. Unfortunately there's too many beta testers for me to notify each of you individually via PM. I don't see any indication of a crash in the log you posted.
  23. I am planning to eventually add an air ambulance feature, but it'll be a while. You will have an option to specify a landing zone or have them use the hoist. I'm working on a way to lift peds back into the helicopter which is not a built in functionality.
