Patrol31 did a great job with this rig. Yes, it's still the default GTA fire truck, but the lighting is a great improvement over the default. It has a working traffic advisor, scene flood lights, the white lights cut out when parked just like a real truck, and the model doesn't seem to have any issues or glitches. The "other" ELS fire truck that was released seems to have some major issues with the LODs and unrealistic lighting. This one has all realistic lights and they look great, and it has full LODs so it won't hurt your game's performance. If you've been looking for an ELS fire truck, this is the one to use!
  1. Does the model work in-game?
  2. I've had this issue with making a custom prop in zmodeler too. Unfortunately I haven't been able to resolve it. Please let me know if you do find out!
  3. The crash is happening in a plugin you have installed, called HeroCop. Uninstall HeroCop as it is very out of date.
  4. There is no API for ELS at this time. All you can do is set vehicle.IsSirenOn to true. Even IsSirenSilent doesn't work with ELS sadly.
  5. When the FBI2 gets dirty, the lights are 100% obscured. You should adjust the dirt mapping to not completely block the windows.
  6. Vehicles already randomly apply different extras when spawned, based on the vehicle configuration. You can use the extras syntax to add multiple entries for a vehicle if you want to specify all the possible variations.
  7. Feel free to make it yourself.
  8. You'd have to install an English build of Windows if that's the issue, just changing the display language isn't enough. I'm not 100% sure yet. I'll take a closer look at your log file later and see if I can find any more info by looking at that.
  9. I've had a few people report this issue, and I've yet to figure out what's causing it. I'm wondering if it might be related to some issue with parsing the XML file on systems with certain language settings.
  10. What is your system language set to?
  11. Create a new Persona object and assign it to the ped.
  12. I'm American, and the game takes place in the US, so I'm designing the mod with a US emphasis, particularly focused on the US Coast Guard. That being said I intend to make all the configuration options available for modders from other countries to customize it! So a British modder (or group of modders) would definitely be able to create an British Coastal Pack with vehicles, peds, building textures, etc. Any established modders from the international community are welcome to PM me to discuss this in more detail. I definitely want to make this accessible to everyone, but I don't have the time or regional expertise to do that myself.
  13. Mount Gordo is set as a park area in the default Custom Backup XML file. You can change it if you don't want it to be considered a park.
  14. That would happen if you're in a park.
  15. Various modelers have helped contribute vehicles. I've made some textures and model edits, but other people have done most of the work. Full credits for the modeling work will of course be prominently posted when the mod is released.
  16. Time for a quick update! I have started alpha testing with a small group, and have been busy fixing all the many bugs they are finding, and making improvements based on their suggestions. The basic rescue callout is mostly complete now, but I am still working on adding more variations. I've fixed a ton of little bugs in pretty much every part of the mod, too. I've also been working hard on cleaning things up to make them more user-friendly: adding help messages to guide the user in using all the new features, fixing compatibility issues with other mods, etc. I do plan to have a beta test open to a wider audience sometime soonish, but need to work out a few more issues before I do so. Stay tuned for more information soon! (Please, don't PM me asking for early access - it's by invitation only right now. Details about eligibility for beta participation will be available soon.) Thanks again everybody for your enthusiasm and support! I'm very excited to finally be reaching the point where this can be shared with a wider audience, and am as eager as you are to get it in everybody's hands!
  17. Most likely a condemned building being burned for a training exercise.
  18. Those would all be possible. Check out the info here on how to get started with writing callouts:
  19. Here is a list of all the known speech strings in the game: https://gist.github.com/alexguirre/0af600eb3d4c91ad4f900120a63b8992
  20. There's already a section for "Visual and Data mods" http://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/datafile/
  21. Good questions! I'm still working on figuring that out. It will be necessary to install at least something, as there are add-on props that don't exist in the game that will be needed. It is meant to work with vehicles with specific capabilities. You don't necessarily need to use the ones included, but at the moment there's not many alternatives. Very few police boats, and not many helicopters with enough seats for a big rescue. Everything will be customizable though there will be a config file where you can set options for what vehicles to use for what. The map mods are definitely optional. I'm curious why you don't want to use any of these features though? For the moment it'll be separate. You can call Better EMS if you want an ambulance/ground response, and if you want a helicopter you can call separately through Coastal Callouts. Eventually I may integrate them more closely. Sure, you can use it for whatever you want. Your imagination is the limit. However there currently isn't a good way to get other cops to rappel or use the hoist. Something I may add eventually, but probably not in the initial beta release. Currently I haven't added any spotlight features, as you can just install one of the existing spotlight mods. Also, right now all the shots you see with the heli camera are using the one built into Wilderness Callouts. I am planning on rewriting the heli cam system and customizing it for Coastal Callouts sometime before public release, and will consider adding a spotlight mode that works with the heli cam and the copilot AI.

  23. You'd have to add multiple Vehicle entries and put a different livery for each. Or, specify no livery, and it'll spawn like normal - with a random livery.
