Without writing a book here getting too technical lol the scanner just receives. Handy for basic monitoring with budgets for departments that cannot get funded or afford multiple radios in a car. Most general public will use these also to hear. That model you have in console is a digital model which is pretty common though newer models do exist which are more extensive in what they do. Many agencies use scanners to listen to other departments on different setups or officers purchase them on own. California installs them in chp units for the officers as well as some northern cali entities. The mobiles are 2 way radios. Here in link below you will see different radios some using 45 watt in console models ( full small radio in console) others just heads in console and the actual radio 110 watts in trunk on a electronics deck which the radio is referred to as a brick. The apx 09 head will control ac heat, siren, horn to vehicle, headlights, hazards, limited mdt (computer) hot keys, or accessory buttons such as unlocking the gun rack some use a keypad code rather then a hot key that's hidden or basic lock. Most functions are programmed by choice by the agency using it or what's needed so everyone is different. Many detective units have gone to the apx 03 head or similar in older years which is just a mic that is mounted as normal sometimes having a display and cable runs to trunk to the actual radio which you can see in that link what the 03 head mic looks like as it can be concealed in a normal car or truck. The mods I seen here use equipment that is still in use. The radio you put is still used also. But hopefully that link will give ideas for future things you work on if you decide to beef up the trunk and console electronics if your into detail. Some places are basic and just have a radio and switch box nothing more in a police car while others have various different equipment in higher end installs. Looks really good. Has anyone looked at the latest and greatest apx 7500 mobile or apx 8000 series mobile for the cars? That's what most us police are moving to dual or all band phase 2 equipment. Many use harris also. Some odd ball agencies are using kenwood and icom nxdn digital radios meant for business due to it being cheaper. But it looks great can't wait to get the update again. Still have it as a added perma slot and will continue to. I really like the console with a uniden in it as many and I mean many sheriff and small agencies on budgets install digital scanners into units for interop monitoring purposes. Very good work with this.

I had found a cvpi with a amber light bar on gta5 mods. I felt at time it didn't need to function and the amber look was enough since they just patrol parking lots more or less. I changed the skin to a blue and added metro patrol with a basic door shield from online replacing the prius knock off for self test use. The spot light and overhead clears work but I didn't allow siren or flashing lights. Gave it a little better look then the prius. I think it was the airport police version cvpi with a amber lightbar but if used in police slots and you allowed emergency lights they would be red and blue flashing. But more less I just changed the skin to a blue added metro patrol and replaced the prius step child to the cvpi with amber lightbar for looks since I hardly if ever run into them. Right now is perfect example. Downtown near the station I am seeing patrols of ai pretty much saturating the area. To me normal. It's downtown and the ai is going around as normal so in areas like this you may get sat patrol. Now I go out to mo man's land and back up seems like it'll never get there. This was also case in previous versions. I think allot people didn't suit out at downtown or certain stations much and since the release of 0.3 since it was show cased at downtown more are going there to start game taking calls right away. Sitting here watching the ai to me is normal and has dame reaction it always did. If I go watch activity farther north away it seems same as before and feels like back up takes bit to get to you. I think it's normal and most haven't noticed it much before as they didn't suit out downtown or a couple other stations where ai saturates naturally. Before 0.3 allot I think drove quickly and took calls going away from those areas but now are actually getting to see close calls in the immediate vicinity and ai crimes with the normal saturation. Just what I think. To me it's all normal. I like it though. I wish they'd be like this when I'm by stab city alone lol. The miss daisy thing earlier was joke though I couldn't resist ;)

I haven't noticed anything acting like this everytime I'm sure there ewill be times a few call outs in row or pursuits will have fast reaction specially if one takes a call or pursuit immediately after ending another in same vicinity all the ai just cleared from. If it happens endlessly idk I haven't had that issue.

Well then that's the challenge drive faster and eventually you'll catch up instead of driving miss daisy to a pursuit. That's the fun in it going fast since it's a game and challenge of not wrecking or causing havoc worse then what already is in gta. I think it's fine as is. Plus in future call outs where there is more heavy armed suspects this will be a moot issue I believe as not all those will be around that spawn such as heavy armed terrorist callouts. Being a game it is what it is I think. One can always revert to previous if they want bare world. Just my thought. Being a game and gta it's a doggy dog world. If I got to pit a couple units out of the way I will. Makes for fun. Lspd style everyman for himself wanting a captains award. Is it possible your just in a area by chance where allot of ai units happen to circle endlessly? I've noticed certain parts of LS that seem to naturally have saturated patrol ai. I know out in boonies it's different in allot areas and takes bit for them to catch up. This was in previous versions also of gta itself.

Did you make sure it's all running as administrator? Right click then run as admin? Is everything unblocked that needs to be?

Is your rph up to date? 29 or 32? Just checking in case you used the rph that came with lspdfr 0.2b since it's old in that. Do you have all the files needed and Microsoft framework updated? In your mods folder do you have the proper DLC copies x64e, update etc? Is your gta v updated?

32 alpha is there to get. But it's just a update so pretty much 29. Many actually are sticking to the actual 29 due to plugin compatibility with plugins that were not updated yet or acted buggy. Others say they haven't had any problems at all.

Only issue now is a bigger display. Sitting at a latest very big 4k oled Sony and I want one bigger for lspdfr. Have fun with lspdfr. It can be very addicting.

The rage plugin hook that comes with 0.2b is old. Go to the ragepluginhook.net and download the latest 32. Elite gaming nailed it.

That or you know who is in it. It's a small world at home in your area. I have noticed though a increase of surplus vehicles some having nearly everything left on minus lights, sometimes. Mostly lately fed auctions have been putting out unmarked p71s and 9c1s with everything minus the transceiver and lights. Then I have seen some folks literally re deck the car out installing amber leds inside. Why idk but some states it's pefectly legal but you will get that eye as only 2 (well 3, LE pov or VFD but you know who the 3rd is and not a concern at all) kinds of people have re outfitted a old surplus unmarked. The first is sky warn and ares folks who have permits etc. Second well you can probably guess that one.

Well rph has updated a bit since 20. Did your gta update and maybe you need the latest rph or min 29 due to gta patch updates? Last I know recently is 32 is latest and few were staying at 29 due to certain plugins at time I read that didn't work or had buggy issues with rph 32. Just incase don't use the rph that comes with lspdfr download. You'll have to get the rph at its respective site. The one bundled with 0.2b is old. Probably what problem is. Now you can avoid a update with the dvd version however you'll be stuck using rph 28 or whichever version your game is. It's only ideal if your comfortable and have what you need already and don't go online at all to play. It's also not good as once plugins and scripts are updated they won't run on older versions unless the author wrote it to. Basically say your dvd is recent. Around rph 28 use. You can sign into social club to validate, then it'll go to that o of 6x gb screen. Just disconnect from online or pull your wifi stick. Launch rph and everything will work and so will gta launcher. You'll be stuck behind and not have updates or can't run newer plugins but if your happy with that then that's your game. It works everytime. But it'll update if you run gta and are online while it's running. So it's only ideal for offline play not needing any connection to R* other then validating. You'll have to select offline mode but if your connected to the net it'll always try to update. Just a fyi. I only do this when they throw a big update out and everyone needs time to update plugins and or rph has to be updated. Buys time basically. But not long haul ideal unless you never play while connected online at all and are happy behind with the plugins/scripts/rph. But doing this indefinitely is possible you just have to never play while connected to the net and offline mode always I suppose and miss out on any update gta gives and the mods end.

When you first install the dvd version it will update the launcher which is only like 25 to 60 mb or so somewhere around that area. But once you sign in it'll validate then jump to a actual update if your not current. This update can be massive in size. It will take some time if your on slow Internet speeds and have a version dvd that's from beginning of it being released. Basically let it update fully before exiting it and get to a point your past the first 2 small missions or pre deals. Then worry about lspdfr.
