  1. Scanner audio plays just fine when removing XScanner. I don’t know what else to tell you, friend.
  2. Thank you for taking a look. I have no idea about placeholder ones but the AAIC/misc sound files from various folders are still all there. The plugin in question is sourcing from ‘Crimes’, ‘UNIT_SIGHS’, etc.— I have not renamed, edited or messed with addresses of these files in any way when updating.
  3. Also XScanner keeps failing to find certain audio files from AAIC that exist and “ditching request” since updating… reverting to previous version from January doesn’t resolve the issue even though it was working flawless beforehand.

  9. Hey, Thank you for your comment. I appreciate your affinity for the project and effort made trying it out despite it’s many complexities. The “…” responses is actually the Player character speaking — orange representing the Player and certain menu items coloured as such being direct speech. Particular emphasis on the inconsequential goes a long way in enriching the overall experience and grounds you in the world as the Player character. Some of these can be chalked up to time-constraints, naturally, but I find it’s not always entirely necessary to have responses and their inclusion does create a sense of agency for the Player as well as work to facilitate a means to convey things beyond what’s presented. Imagination is key (I’m trying to capture that sense of play— almost like a child in a sandbox). Think of it as a tabletop sim, which was the design philosophy. Yeah, advisory stuff is legacy infrastructure from ‘Ultimate Questions for STP’ which don’t necessarily reflect my own sensibilities or really interface with my body of work. You can largely ignore all that. Feel free to experiment with your approach and establish a flow to things for yourself; it’s very much a learning process with a lot of trial-and-error for training Officers. Suspects are just casually walking away after successfully cuffing/arresting them from the the ground with error thrown for Object reference not set to an instance of an object… may be wrong, but it seems the issue from previous version still persists but you’re just managing to prevent a crash. EDIT: Ahh, it was because I didn’t set arrest key. You have it set up to have two elements and the arrest key is actually executing the core function of the plugin to change the state of NPC to arrested. I’m correct as the previous version I’d also left the field blank causing the crash that is being caught now— my apologies. Either that or it’s just the case both do the same thing and you’re forcing controller users to pick a binding based on the meta file which in my case I edited to remove B (save room for key bindings using XPadder) so I can’t use it. Please have it so you can leave it blank on controller for people who use keyboard emulation software. Many thanks.

  14. Great work (most in-depth yet) but notice insurance stuff is missing like expiration and what not and certain drugs not having intent to sell and other classifications. Inclusion of generalised drug charges (opioid, barbiturate, etc.) would be most appreciated as some search items are non-specific. Many thanks. Oh, and failure to sign summons/ticket and obey lawful order. Sorry if I’m just missing things.

  16. Hello there Thank you for your interest and suggestion. Alas; I unfortunately lack any real experience to tap into, nor am I terribly familiar with this particular field in the general sense. Frontline/community policing is very much the theme I’m going with. That being said, I like to keep an open mind about things and strive to broaden my horizons so it might be something to consider for the future. Kind regards
